There is no way in hell the 1:1 of that warhound is coming out. If he had the files, then he committed a felony getting them, or he committed a felony by possessing known stolen goods, then replicating them, then knowingly selling stolen goods.

If a single model gets made, I think the original creator should press felony charges.

What confuses me most about DM is why he continues to persist with this scam. Surely the entire fething internet knows now, and he knows it knows to that point that he remarks that he knows the post will be "screenshotted and posted everywhere". Why doesn't he just give it up, start up a new business under a different name and alias and try a different scam?

If there is one thing we can deduce from all this, its that he has the Stubborn USR.

More like repeatedly failing his Stupidity test with his Ld of 3 and persisting his tomfoolery nonstop.

why does GW consistently and persistently ignore its customer base and the existence of the internet past its own website and 3rd party retailers? So long as there is someone to be conned, someone will step up to the plate to do the conning.... it's a..... less palatable.... example of capitalism at work. The majority might be aware, but the majority be damned, because there's still someone who isn't part of that majority.

It likely costs very little to run a setup like this, especially if you're letting another site (eg Facebook in this case) do all the hosting (ergo no web costs). So the only thing it really costs is time to run the setup.

At that point if its a scam (and this little to no actual stock required) it means that with 0 cost you only need to hook one or two people to make a profit; get more and you're away. It's why you get so many of those spam emails from Nigerian Princes - they only need one person out of the hundreds of thousands that they contact to pay up to make it worth while.

Persistence at this stage might also be hoping that it is going to generate support; I mean after all the negative attention only a legitimate company would continue because any scam company would have moved on by now - right?


PS - GW isn't in the business of charging people and then not delivering; whilst we can argue about what we think they should be charging us per model; at the end of the day we either pay and play or move on. It's really not in the same league as scam setups.

So, I received a little message today, from Mandelbaum via a middle party. I'm going to respond here, in public -

I received your 'message' about how you are in financial trouble and you want Dakka to leave you alone and how you are not scamming and you want to know what you can do to make 'us' back off. I will repeat, right here right now, I do not speak for 'Dakka'. I am not employed by Dakka, I do not receive anything from Dakka. I am just a member with some privileges who volunteers some time. I am a person posting on a forum. Just like you can't say someone calling you names on a Verizon phone is 'Verizon' attacking you, you can't put the name Dakka on anything. You need to understand it is the community who dislikes you, in general. 'Dakka' is just one of many ways people express it, along with Facebook, other forums and blogs, websites etc.

Now, regarding your line of questions, let me start with the vinegar first.

It amuses me you want me to help you figure this out while spitting a stream of vitriol at me personally. Good job right off the bat on that one.

Moving on, to put it in a short answer, there is nothing you can do to get off scott-free. There is nothing you can do that will make the community stop watching you like a hawk. You don't seem to understand Daniel, the issue with your companies and aliases isn't the company, it's you. You are the problem. No one in their right mind would ever, ever trust you, ever, whatever name you go by, whatever company you are currently using.

Frankly, I am astounded you claim to be reformed while simultaneously lying through your teeth. You have yet to admit that you are Alan Welson. I know it's you Daniel. Without a single shred of doubt, I know it's you, so give it up. You have yet to admit to a full list of your other aliases, including ResinForge all along, your own mother and all the others. You have yet to admit you have scammed in the past. You continue to engage in terrible business behaviour and late night phone harassment. You continue to play the victim whenever possible.

You are about to be evicted? You need the wargaming community to bail you out? That sucks. Also, completely and totally not our problem. You honestly expect help or sympathy from your victims here man? If you spent less time ripping people off and focusing on an actual career, you might not be in your spot right now (if it's even true), and you might have been able to count on your side-projects actually generating revenue. The fact that's not happening is on you. Not anyone else, just you.

The way I figure it, from what can be gathered you are sitting on what... a grand of FW bits you didn't move that I saw? You also have your BCS and RF conversions, and whatever off-brand titan you have been working on to cover up the fact you never had the one you said you had in hand. May be wrong on that one but I'd bet a good amount that that was your plan judging by your BCS comments. This 'olive branch' comes a day after I made that prediction, so I can't help but thing I hit pretty close to the mark eh?

So ya, we all know you have stuff to sell. The thing you don't get is that we can't stop anyone from buying from you. They are stopping themselves. They don't like what they hear about you. They don't like your behaviour online under your aliases. They don't like that you can't produce a shred of evidence, ever, about anything. You are pissed you have to suspect anyone and everyone who may buy from you for being dishonest? Now you know what the rest of the community feels like buying online from new places or commissioning work thanks to you and your criminal antics. Too bad so sad.

Frankly, your story still stinks. You could sell your stuff easily enough on eBay for a pretty decent profit, and do it pretty anonymously. You just don't like eBay anymore because you cannot escape liability there, and you are either already banned, or you know your set-up wouldn't last long. So, this tells me you aren't desperate for short-term cash. You are desperate to get back into this community in an ongoing way, you think we are a big fat bag of cash just waiting for you. You think we are unfairly getting in the way of you claiming what is rightfully yours. That's insane. People do want bits and conversions Daniel. They just don't want it from you.

Now, the 'honey', where I actually attempt to answer your question attempting to positive result, understanding though that you will never be free from scrutiny in this community though, not until a positive track record eclipses your negative one anyways (good luck with that, it will take years).

1. Register your business, under your name and your name alone. Make it public as you are obligated to do.
2. Officially announce it is you, Daniel Mandelbaum.
3. Officially admit that you have scammed in the past and come clean. List each of your businesses and aliases yourself. Don't forget anything, not RF, not BCS, not Susan Beasley.
4. You still owe people money. Deal with them publicly if they come forward. Be transparent. No more shadow games in FB PMs.
5. Admit you have lied about models you had for sale, attending events and have used suicide, dead fictional wives and children, cancer and a variety of other despicable means to extend lies. Fess up.

100% transparency and honesty is your only hope here if you ask me. You can never lie again. You can never hide your identity or not be directly legally accountable again. You have to fully inform your customers of who they are dealing with, and show them you are putting the power to protect themselves in their hands, not yours.

100% Daniel. You think it's just me or Dakka who watches for you. It's not. It's a very large part of the community at this point. You seem to think if you somehow convince me of anything that it would change anything for you. It won't. You have to convince 100's if not 1000's of people who have had enough of you. It's a tall order. The only way to do it is to be One. Hundred. Percent. Transparent and honest. And to operate legally.

Chances are even if you are/do, it's too far gone. You burned all your bridges years ago and have only made things worse for yourself since. You think you can just announce you are reformed while still lying and cheating and that somehow wipes your ridiculously extensive slate clean? Come on. Your word means less than nothing to anyone. Only actual, positive and transparent action will have any kind of traction whatsoever.

On the slim chance you could somehow salvage your situation, it would take YEARS Daniel. Years with nothing fishy, with no problems, no lost packages, no paypal issues, no aliases, no selling or advertising other people's product as your own, be it FW or otherwise.

So that's all I have to say on the matter for you.

STOP HARRASING PEOPLE ON THE PHONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. That's a donkey-cave move and you know it. All of society knows it. This is not the behaviour of a trustworthy or simply nice person. Him blocking you only means you can't post on his page. The Alan Welson page isn't set to private, and hasn't had anything posted on the actual account page since 8/29/13. Same with BCS, the last post was pasted here about the warhounds being made.

I of course am blocked on both, so I used a burner fb account just to double check that I wasn't missing anything.

If it wasn't for his persistent lying and deceit he could have a pretty decent operation and reputation.

I have seen some of his conversion work in the past and this look would suit me down to the ground on a couple of projects, however, I am not going to deal with a scammer.

I would deal with an honest an open community member.

I got an email direct from Mandelbaum - I added in the numbers to clarify my answers -

1 Being banned limits my ability to respond to your oh so public post.

2 I am here to tell you I will be opening Resin Forge 2.0.

3 I will register it, provide the needed info to you with which you can do with as you like.

4 For past people owed, I listed my number for over 5 weeks and got no calls but 1 guy who was scamming me which I had tracking numbers for showing delivery. There were no other calls, no other emails, no nothing.

5 Bringing up my mothers name as an alias is WRONG. I gave her something to do with me in her final months before she passed away then closed the account. The only negatives on those accounts 2,3 and 4 respectively are from the same person claiming item not as described to run the power seller status they all had.

6 I will be listing my business ID number as well as an address and phone number right on the main page as well.

7 I would like a reply to this email, not a public response with anything else you want me to do. I will be opening the shop. I also want to end with this. Resin forge had a perfect track record including refunding 3 people who had tracking numbers, 2 said delivered one stopped updating from Chicago. I refunded them all anyways. Other then that it was a perfect shop with super fast shipping.

8 And it will be again. I'm trying to be civil and do what you think is best for the community so please tom, work with me to show me the ropes on how YOU want it done. Ive also offered FULL transparency including access to sales records who you can then check on.

9 Does this work for you? Because either way, I will reopen the shop. I would just prefer its in the manor you outlined.

So, first of all Daniel, obviously, I am NOT going to keep your communications private. You seem to be missing that point amongst others. So let me hit your points here -

4. You listed your phone # on your site for 5 weeks. Excellent. That is surely a 100% guaranteed way to pay people back. Instead, you want to make your victims do the work and let yourself off the hook if they don't happen to go to Resin Forge's webpage? Ya. You certainly did all you could. 5. No, brining up your mother's name is NOT wrong. Faking a dying wife. Faking a dying baby. Faking Cancer. Faking threats of harm to yourself and others. PRETENDING TO BE YOUR MOTHER while using her credentials is wrong. You brought her name into this yourself. You used her so you could steal from people. No sir, the dishonor on that front is all yours. You seem to forget you tripped up with me and admitted it was you, not her already. Hard to keep track I know but do try.

6. Good, since that is your legal obligation and nothing to do with me or anyone else.

7. As I mentioned, I will not keep secrets for you, nor will I be drawn into some long back and forth. I already thouroughly explained my interpretation of your situation, and the fact that I have no power to 'end' this. 8. As I said in 7, there is no 'again' to go back to. You have never run an honest, transparent, legal business. Ever. So please, spare us the protestations. As to you being civil, your message was decidedly not civil when it came to me less than 24 hours ago, so you'll forgive skepticism there too.

'Does this work for me' is irrelevant both due to that and due to the fact you really want me to have the power to make anything work for you even if I wanted to. As a person with an adult family member with mental problems, I can say I don't envy that task for his father. All it would take is for Daniel himself to seek the help.
