Hey, some of you might remember my reviews of Creative Gamescapes spaceship corridors.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/384096.page

They're injection molded corridors suitable for use in 40k and other games.

Well now they have a kick starter to (literally) bring them to the next level.

Oh and crew...

And if you're looking for an excuse to use them here are my articles on Boarding Actions for 40k

http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Space_Hulks_and_Boarding_Actions

And the Emp vs Horus

EDIT: d'oh! Link to the actual campaign

Was loving those bases until I saw they were resin :(

Those bulkheads etc will certainly do the job for anyone who has the corridors, but the plywood versions do look unavoidably wooden - I'd be a lot keener if they were plastic to match the corridors. I think quite a few potential backers will be waiting to see if the stretch goals are met to trigger the plastic versions.

The clear doors are a rather nice representation of glass doors, if you already have the corridors to fit them.

Looks very nice! This has to be by far the most reasonably priced option for this kind of thing.

Scenic resin bases are pretty much the industry standard if you want anything other than a plastic slotta base - think the McVey bases that came with Sedition Wars are the only plastic ones I've seen (and even then very limited variety).

Ye gods the shipping I know there big sprues but I will not be paying half again the cost of a pledge for shipping.

I must say that the usps has done a grand job of curing my ks addiction after there price rises.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

Heh, both US-based KS projects and buying from the US in general has been a big no-no for me ever since they bumped up the shipping from "acceptable" to "feth the world"

I think I'll wait and see if a more local stockist picks this up, otherwise, alas.

I never knew about this product.I love zone mortalis and this is deffiently a good alternative to scratch building a board or buying the FW board. The only downside is the corridors aren't large enough for dreads and IG heavy weapon teams.

Same. Would love to add these to my $500 worth of Maki and Mantic plastic terrain (not to mention 4 starters' worth of Necromunda) but shipping from the US is... no, just no.

Just got to get a big set of this, so much better playing zone mortalis on a 3D board rather than old Space Hulk tiles.

I see their is a stretch goal for single corridor to double connectors, but it means they would have to hit $30,000 in the next 6 days. Sadly I can't contribute to this project at this time.

I have to say I find it a bit strange that they need to hit $150.000 before they can tool a new plastic injection mold. Plenty of recent Kickstarters needed a lot less.

I've blown my wad on Kickstarter terrain already. Need to wait for the stuff I've pledged to arrive before spending more.

Still, I wish these guys success. Always welcome more stuff on the market.

For what it's worth I was able to make a double wide with the existing set, I used 2 long corridors and 2 2x2 rooms to cap it.

Do you really need 8 sets for space hulk, as they mention in a comment? Is this the best option for space hulk out there? Seriously considering it, but the price for that many is quite high...

I'm sure you can find cheaper modular space corridors somewhere.

I'm not necessarily looking for cheaper, just wondering if folks think this is a good set for space hulk (compromise between price / quality). Shipping isn't an issue for me since I'm in the US, sucks that it's so high internationally though.

Not to side track too much, but...

Those are the bases which Aberrant rebrands for their Rezolution game. The industrial ones should work well enough for a board like this with their different textured plate and what not. Only in 25mm size though, so bigger bases would need a different solution.

I like the bases and the ship crew figures, but the spaceship corridors seem too toy-like for my taste. They also look like they're going to be an issue for genestealers, or any model flailing limbs about

I'd rather put in the effort and make Hirst Arts corridors

The walls are only half high so dramatic poses fit fine, in face the usual complaint is the walls should be higher.

Personally I think it's a good compromise.

Fair enough, but if your going to spend that much, you're a hobbyist anyways and three hirst arts molds and two boxes of dental plaster will set you back $200 anyway.

I'm also a little annoyed the ship crew figures are $6.50 each. They couldn't cut the backers a deal there?

Yes, those are the only other plastic 'industrial' style bases I'm aware of - and very nice they are too. I wish there were others, and in larger sizes.

This looks good, is reasonably priced for all of the cheap basterd gamers out there (meaning most of you lot ), and would be easy to be further expanded upon.

Thumbs up from me!

I wanted to pull the trigger on this, but it'd be for Space Hulk, and $245 is just too pricey. Kyoto, maybe suggest they make a Space Hulk pledge that doesn't include the metal figures?

Seems to me the $90 Corsair level (3 sets) should be able to do most Space Hulk layouts. I remember when I bought mine I really thought a 3 set/$100 deal was the sweet spot for msot games.

$90 - Corsair includes

·three sets of Spaceship X

·free add-ons that are part of the stretch goals

·a free pdf copy of our new game Laboratory X

Below are two layouts using the Corsair level.

I had hoped so, but they posted this in the comments:

Creative Gamescapes wrote:@BlasterCA - The layouts would work best for Space Hulk and Doom. Project Pandora's squares are quite a bite smaller, but it could be done. Space Hulk takes 8 sets. not all the long corridors are needed, but intersection pieces are.

Also, there are these pics from the guys at GenCon who were using their corridors for Space Hulk, and they've got a huge layout! But maybe they were playing a modified version?

https://plus.google.com/photos/106793388610962197139/albums/5913944028551760625

Again given the above comment, could someone with Space Hulk check how many intersection pieces there are? If Corsair could indeed run most, even if not all, layouts, that would make it more tempting.

There are 8 T-sections and 8 4-way corridors in the complete Space Hulk tile set, so you do actually need 8 sets to do every possible layout. I'm sure with a little creativity you could do a bunch of the maps with fewer, but 3 might be pushing it.

I really wish they'd sell single sprues, IIRC there's 4 sprues in a set and I'd buy a bunch of the large rooms in a second.

Has anyone actually heard anything from Creative Gamescapes? It is now getting near to 3 months since they updated ks. I have a feeling they have taken the money and run.
