His list goes back to the Jawaball style of play in the end of 5th... that is kill everything possible since our troops are meh currently.
For a pure BA list (his challenge) I think its possibly our strongest, if you count allies you get all the fun of cheaper/effective troops.
** I may have to explore using my SW droppod allies segment with my BA (troop light- Raven heavy).
Maybe something like
Stormraven
Mephiston
Stormraven
Corbulo-assault terminators
RAS - flamer x2 ps
RAS - melta x2
Priest - jp
SW - runepriest - wg- droppod
GH x10 - melta/melta dropod
GH x10 - melta/melta dropod
** could afford to go even cheaper on the BA side and would hurt against interceptor rich armies but it could possibly work.

I still think that quadruple Stormraven might be better. But that involves allies. I know he beat Tau with that list, but I just am having trouble imagining that battle. Broadsides are point and click Stormraven deleters.

He is posting the battreps on spikebits blog.
One small thing of note is when tossing tough units in a stormraven, even if they crash going max distance they are still closer then they would have been in a landraider (assuming turn 2 entry)

His list doesn't have an aegis line. Turn 2 entry is kinda iffy. You're still losing 1/3 of your assault terminators in a list that can't afford that kind of loss.
I'll have to go look at the batreps.

That list three gave me a great idea: Infiltrating Shrike with 20 DC.. But then I realised that would be 35 points per model :(
Maybe I'll try to do it with Sanguinary Guard one day!
He also gives the group Stealth, so infiltrating them into ruins would give them at least a 3++ for the first turn.

The vanguards have it all over the Sanguinary guard in a way, because you can give the lead guys cheap storm shields. And have more than five models. But yes, infiltrating and using jump packs in both phases is a thing. It's not wave serpent good, but disordered charges against Tau at full strength are probably pretty good.

I have been considering running a IH captian with jp/fist/ES/artificer armor with sanguinary guard to tank hit on the way in.

I believe he used the skies of blood rule to deploy everything out the stormraven as soon as it came on. Thus giving his opponent a headache with target priority with things pretty much right in his face.

I know game 1 he bunkered up to avoid riptides, poking out to flame kroot.
The ravens came in turn 2 and turn 3 he dislodged a claw/furioso, meph and corb/term/libby to take out three respective targets.
Meph drew alot of fire and went down turn 5? and the corbulo/termy/libby squad just melted everything it touched.

Mephiston
5 assault marines, 2 hand flamers, 1 flamer
5 assault marines, 2 hand flamers, 1 flamer
5 assault marines, plasma gun, razorback (twin LC)
5 assault marines, plasma gun, razorback (twin LC)
7 death co, 1 fist, Landraider
Furioso, fragcannon, heavy flamer, drop pod
Dread, multimelta, heavy flamer, drop pod
Predator, lascannon sponsons
Storm raven, twin lascannons, multimelta
I don't expect much, but I am attempting to do a threat overload list.
Pray you don't roll for kill points. You have 10 units there.
I played a GK purifier list with a storm raven and stormeagle. We rolled for a KP mission. I won by 1 KP, it was a brutal but fun game. He had three psiriflemen dreds. Each of my dreads popped one of his, my stormraven blew up both his flyers. He had Crowe and gang onboard one that went down in flames. All in all it was a fun game. Now I have to go back and read Martel's thread.
