They're not hard to catch, are they? if they are I'd love one. I kinda want one throughout the game though.

You get them just before badge 5, but gooey is the hidden ability (lowers opponents speed after taking a physical hit) and these are level 1 rather than i think lvl 30-40 or whatever they are wild

Found a shiny Dugtrio, annoying since they kept popping up while I'm trying to train my Meditite. Has to be one of the lamer shiny versions out there. Grey noses.
Also the throw backs to the old games are a nice touch as well, just found one in a pokemon centre talking about Blue and how he had visited the region.

Bulbagarden are distributing Ditto over Wonder Trade tomorrow. Maybe you'll get lucky?

When I get the game, I'd love to grab one from you. I'm sure I can find something you want- if you got X then I can get you the Y version exclusives (not ordered yet, but Yveltal and Dragalge are awesome- not to mention Tyranitar).
I'll give it out free of charge. I don't do ubers at all so the legendaries to me are just pokedex entries. I can get you a male easily (I already have a ton of them) a female though is proving elusive beyond the 1 I started with.
Busy trying to acquire the Dittos I need for my breeding program but in a cruel twist of fate every Ditto I have with a 31 IV has it in the same stat; five dittos with a 31 IV in spec attack. Oh the cruelty.

Heard about that and it sucks something fierce. Makes me partly glad the Pokemon Bank isn't up yet. Can you imagine transfering years of work into a game just to have the save corrupted by a glitch?

U-ummm I am slightly interested. What would you want for one?
Finally I gotta say this... It's my favourite pokemon game but there are two problems I have with the game. 1. the story feels underwhelming 2. the game is just so stupendously easy

The story is definitely underwhelming, even by Pokemon's fairly low standard.I like the ease though. Pokemon hasn't been hard for me since Gen I. By then I'd gained enough understanding to build teams and switch as needed to clear the game. The only challenge was the grind of getting a full team of six to level which wasn't a challenge at all in this game so my experience was much smoother and more enjoyable.
Now I'm happily sitting in Post Game working on various poke-projects
Some of the stuff in game explains why Black and White got a sequel instead of a 3rd version. The 3d models are very welcome and well done and I love character customization and all the awesome new online features. Overall this is my favorite game in the franchise since Gold and Silver. Giving those of us who have lost them a chance to regain the 3 classic and original starts was a lovely gift. I hope they continue next gen affording me an opportunity to reobtain my Totodile.

The only thing on par would be when I lost my copy of Final Fantasy: Tactics Advanced 2 during my last move.
I looked up a YouTube video on this, and sure enough, the game completely freezes.

Reobtain Totodile? Well to be honest there's still HGSS. Joking aside, if you want I could try to get you a female Totodile! Anyways, don't get me wrong. I haven't considered a pokemon game difficult since gen 1 when I was so young I thought the solid tactic was having a blastoise with 4 water attacks. Since then, I've done things from playing with a purposeful weakness (entire team weak to a typing), grinded two pokemon to level 36 in the viridian forest just after the first gem, and more goofy things simply because I know how it all works. That being said, the ai and/or team composition of N, Ghetsis, Cynthia, and a few others were all at least somewhat challenging (Cynthia actually had 3 pokemon with all 31IV stats). Yeah I still beat them but they weren't going from using a super effective move on me to... something that I resist.... Along with that, (I'm actually only about to get the 3rd gym. I've tried to avoid plot spoilers but some things leak):
Spoiler:
My biggest problem is that they made a lot of aspects simpler. Not only do you gain mega evolution which is almost always a auto pick as they generally make your pokemon better whilst the enemy rarely (I've heard only 2 times in the main story does anybody besides you ever use it) gets the chance to. Along with that, it seems that almost no trainers have more than 3 pokemon which makes battles shorter and easier. The exp share I both love and hate. On the love side... FINALLY! No more grinding! That being said, I'm easily levels above the gym leaders without even trying to grind. I'm thinking of making my next playthrough have 12-18 team mates to reduce this problem. Then there is pokemon amie. The thing is game breaking. It increases crit chance, evasion chance, makes it as though you have shed skin, oooccasinoally have a focus band on, and boosts your exp gain dramatically again. Then the gym leaders only ever have 3 pokemon, the rivals at most have 4 before post game, the evil leader only has 4, the elite four only have 4, and only the leader has 6. Along with this, they stopped using items.
Oh and sorry if I am missing any letters. It seems my keyboard is starting to have some difficulties with certain letters (particularly o). Anyways, I still find it to be my favourite.... problem is being your favourite means it is the easiest to notice flaws

To be honest... I haven't even gotten my third gym yet xD. School has been a pain and I started up anther with my friend (came down from another city to play it with me). In terms of what it is worth for me.... well... frankly a heck of a lot xD. Particularly a female goomy. It is my favourite pokemon and it has a hidden ability. I'm partially tempted to ask if I could trade a goomy for something crummy until I get into post game (thinking of starting a competitive team so gonna be going through the breeding and berry making process).

I never finished my Black 2 and honestly have no played a Pokemon game since early Diamon/Pearl. I'm back in the swing now though, in part because breeding has actually become a realistic thing to achieve. Because of destiny knot it won't take me several dozen thousand eggs to breed a high IV mon. It'll still be a huge grind but grinding is something I've never had trouble with so long as a few hours actually bring results. Math wise, It shouldn't take too many eggs per generation to pass 31IVs and getting 5 on one is very realistically obtainable now as a challenge, not a form of masochism.
It has me excited as while I've always wanted to do it I've never wanted to spend weeks just to get a sliver of progress in breeding. Now doing it in an afternoon is plausible. EDIT: Speaking of which my luck with Ditto's has improved! Now have a Attack IV 31 and one ditto with a 31 IV in both HP and Defense on another!
In terms of other humans Pokemon can be a pretty intense game in part because of its simple complexity. The mechanics of the game are not deep but the variety of pokemon, attacks, stats, and abilities creates a rich game which is why it has such a hard core competitive scene nearly two decades since its release.

Oh most certainly! Trust me, I've always been infatuated with the concept of the competitive scene keeping track of where pokemon were as well as the rage taht was the dominance of weather teams (seems like o w and a are the main problems with my keyboard). But, as you mentioned... Unless you cheated or abused the system... there was simply no practical way to breed reliably. The best I got was tripple max IV weavile which I trained to level 100 and ev trained. Problem is I don't know where he is anymore xD. Also glad to hear you got more dittos!
I have no perfect IV dittos, so my method involves trying to find round-about ways to breed everything through my Blastoise, which has 30-31s in everything except speed, which is at 24 (best catch ever), and then find a way to get a speed IV on there. It's worked for Larvitar fairly decently, although having to breed multiple generations through several different pokemon just to transfer egg moves and IVs is a pain.
But it's going to get really bad once I start having to breed outside of the Monster egg group. Basically breeding blastoise with things that overlap with other egg groups.
On a good note, that should hopefully give me easier access to a wider range of egg moves than a chain of dittos would.
Mostly my plan for the dittos is simply to use them to infuse IV's into a male and female of a species. That way I stand a good chance of being able to regularly produce members of the species with desired IV's. Once I have the species up stat wise I can start breeding the species that has the egg move I want. Once both are up to spec my chances of getting exactly what I want are much much better.
It's still a lot of work but its no longer the sado-masochistic chore of blood letting myself it would have been in past gens. In the past it could take literally tens of thousands of eggs to get just 4 perfect IV's. Now it can be done with just a few hundred if not less. I'll know more once I've actually tried.
Was very happy with the new features of the game and the graphics. My only beefs with it:
- Very short and very little post league material; similar problem to Black and White 1. Really could have done with Gold/Silver, Platinum or BW2 extras.
- GTS is a joke. Crashes constantly because Nintendo's server can't handle the traffic over the worldwide release.
- Pokemon Bank should have been released with it or the game delayed until Bank was ready. It's silly releasing a game in October that cannot be possibly finished 100% until December.
Guessing those 3 new Pokes will be event only legends that go in the last 3 slots of the National Dex, thus they wouldn't show up on it until they have been seen. That or it's just a glitch.

You'd be surprised. I used to play competitively back in Gen.4, and everybody was doing it even on handheld. It never took as long as you imagined once you got the right guys to start, and that was mostly a case of getting on the right forums for trades. My Platinum cart is still several boxes full of EV'd and IV'd Pokes that I used to battle with back then. Hell there were even some people back then who did it even for playthroughs and not just Wi-Fi, though that was a little far and unnecessary for me.
Noticed people were giving out codes on page 3 as well, so I added a bunch and will leave mine below:

Have a hunch they are all probably legendaries. One is likely based on the racoon/squirrel of pokemon lore the other two no idea.

Pssht let us be honest GTS has always been a joke . Seriously though. I quit gts whenever I realized how many trade for lvl1 kyurem there were. Honestly I'm not surprised that this game probably has so little post game. Pokemon has always focused on the early game only tossing a bone in the form of Battle Frontier and the sorts before making a remake/sequel that has tons of after story. Also to be honest Gold/Silver was an odd one. They kinda shortened both regions and hollowed it out (as well as decrease levels of the first region) to make it work.
Anyways... might as well add my code!

Hmmmm well hoping Goodra ends up being a good competitive pokemon. I'll end up using it regardless but trying to figure out how it would work. Last gen it would have been terrifying with its synergy with rain as well as strong Sp Def and decent physical def (and quite some damage as well). Currently I'm thinking maybe an infestation, toxic, protect or rest, sludge bomb or sludge wall. If it learns recovery then I'll replace protect or rest (not sure since milotic isn't in gen 6 so can't tell if can be bred over)
Rest is still a TM so it can learn it, however anytime a Tank/Wall is using Toxic, Protect should be in the set. If you are going with Poison for one of the other moves, a Ground type move would go well with it, though I'm not sure of Goodra's full learnset yet.
I've added everyone. Great game. You guys really were not kidding when you said there was a healthy mix of new and old. I'm Actually having a hard time deciding on a team. The Exp share will help a lot with that though.
EDIT: Also, did I find a massive glitch or did I miss the memo that TM's aren't one use anymore?
