Honestly, I write of pokemon games up until post game. That's where the real meat is.

I picked up X as my copy of Y didn't come until a few days after release (Thanks very much GAME.)

The thing that bugged me was that I fell into the trap of using the 'Event Torchic' and what I found was that he levelled stupidly quickly in comparison to my other pokemon and he eventually just became my 'go-to' pokemon in any form of emergency or difficulty. It kind of ruined the game a bit and made several fights in the game ridiculously easy or in someplaces outright redundant.

In my copy of Y I picked up another Torchic but I won't be using it, will store it in case I decide to properly EV train or something a long time from now.

Honestly I don't really write them off entirely. The environment is immersive and I always enjoy the story no matter how successful or fail the antagonist team is. That being said I'm obsessed with making money at the battle chateu atm. Along with that these games are already inferior to the sequels in terms of afterstory. That being said..... it seriously is a joke xD

Yup, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier. It all feels great at the time but afterwards you feel like you took it too easy and your game ended too quickly.

Speaking of loving this game; Larvistas now available with 31 IV's in HP, Defense, Spec Attack, Spec Defense, and Speed. Available in choice of Modest or Timid. Scyther is up next since its in the same egg group. I'll make these on request.

I do love Scyther. One of my favorites. I don't have much in the way of trade however...

Finding Slowpoke is easy. Finding a Slowpoke with regenerator, on the other hand, is not possible in X/Y.

Anyways… I have to confess something… I haven't left the 2nd gym town. I kinda got an eevee to make into a sylveon (never had an eevee in a play through and thought why not). I grinded it and the rest of my team to max in amie. From there I shrugged and maxed their super training. I realized I lacked money so I went into the chateau (didn't actually know what was in there but was like it has to have a few trainers). Then I realized some trainers in there give you 8000 and was like I found the GOOOOLD! From there I continued until I realized I had a problem and my team was almost level 40 xD that being said I have approximately 550,000 poke dollars.

God dammit. realizing just how much of a threat Azumarill is going to pose for my team, and now I'm scared shitless.

Heliolisk and Toxicroak can both shaft him pretty hard, but I'm not sure how well they'd support the rest of my team (AV TTar, Subtoxic Gliscor, Megastoise) against much else, and they take up valuable space that could be used for more supportive/bulky roles.
Scizor could take out Bellyjet Azumarill pretty handily with its standard EV setup, but leaves my entire team open to be swept against anyone who gets the idea to give 124 speed EVs to it.
I really want to run Gastrodon, because the idea of a storm-eating slug is just awesome, but even that gets completely shafted by anything other than aqua jet, and he won't be outspeeding anything outside of that.

EDIT: Scratch that, figured something out. Now, can anyone with my safari please catch me a female Dragonair with Marvel Scale?

Yeah. Stealth Rock is in the same. Boat. Gotta port that in to get it on a lot of useful Mon, though it might not even be possible anymore. For example Scizor is no longer capable of learning Defog without a mon from a previous gen. No bug learns it by leveling, and there is no move tutor who teaches it or a way to breed it into the bug line.

I'd say Nintendo this gen was actually attempting to cut down on abuse of Action Replays and legal hacks in an attempt to balance out the game a bit but then, stealth rock still exists so XD

To be fair even though stealth rock's still there, doesn't mean it won't always be, plus it's still a step in the direction of leveling the playing field a nd meta a little. Besides, they've already made the first x/y patch for lumoise, who's to say they won't make another tweaking certain moves?

Because that's what Pokemon Z is for.

All I want is for stealth rock's damage mechanics to be changed. Numerous mon will never be viable simply because that stupid rock will known out 1/4 or even 1/2 of their health just for switching in and the new ghost types are ready and waiting to spin block away.

Make it last 5 turns, just like weather. Bam, I've fixed Stealth Rock.

Has anyone else found out what their safari type is and just felt really dissapointed? Seems I'm poison with a bloody paras. It's childish but the only way I could be more offended was if it was normal with like Ratata and bidoof, or if my 3rd poison mon ends up being Zubat.... I'm just going to go sit in my corner now >.>

It's okay man. One of my friends is flying with Wubat and Pidgy. Talk about the crap end of the stick XD

I'm dragon type but I don't have the Dragons everyone want (Dragonaire/Garbite) so mine is also somewhat lackluster.

Zubat Safari would actually be pretty good. Crobat is a baller this gen.
