Stormravens can carry Jump Infantry too, which everyone seems to forget about.

Which DW flyer is it? I just put forth a very cursory effort and didn't find it.

There's only one. It has missile systems and assault ramps.

I am in middle of getting ready for a small ITC tournament in October. Was going to take a Knight list, but reading over this thread has me thinking i may try the sisters out again.

Given the story about success with Repentia i thought about trying out adding Inquisitor Hector Rex to squad of Repentia along with Uriah.

If things work out and Hector can keep Sanctuary up, that would give him 2+/2++ for tanking and all the Repentia would have a 4++. Sounds like a nice choppy unit. Anyone tried him before?

CAD:

St Celestine
Uriah

2 X 5 Battle Sister Squad in Repressors
2 X 5 Dominion (with Melta) in Immolator
Seraphim (2 Hand Flamers)
7 Repentia in Rhino
2 x Exorcists
Avenger Striker Fighter

Inquisitional Detachment
Lord-Inquisitor Hector Rex

I avoid Forge World. Like pretty much always.

I like Hector Rex
He is a very good Daemon Bashing Machine and can Tank (thanks to 2+/3++)
Plus his set powers are also a bonus (of which FW STILL need to errata so he doesnt perils when he rolls ANY Double, as his powers are Daemonology)
Plus his Model is Badass

Oh, i had assumed he was immune to the perils issue, but good point. The main reason i considered him was keeping sanctuary up...hmmmm

He SHOULD have the rule (Just ask your Opponent if you can do it)
But Him+9 Crusaders in a Land Raider is just a Death Sentence to anything without 2+ Armour

You might want to give the Domms the Repressors so they can fire all of their guns safely from inside their transport.

On the BSS i was originally going to go with Flamer/HFlamer on both. But debating switching out one group for Melta/MM and leaving the other with flamers for some horde control.

may as well do retributors at that point

The Domms are more valuable then the BSS so allowing them to fire 4 special weapons while being protected by their metal box is better then having to dismount them from Immos to fire all of their guns.

In fact I like rhino's for BSS because I fire my 2 special weapons and Repressors for Domms so I can fire 4 melta guns. The AV 13 also helps me because I am scouting/outflanking my Domms so being so up close to the other army helps with survivability a little bit more.

I also prefer to use my BSS as anti troops with a pair of flamers and Domms as anti tank.

She who bails fails...

However, I encourage you to play around with your list and find out what works best. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how the enemies of the Emperor are punished only that they are left as piles of ash from having the folly to challenge the Adepta Sororitas

An ascetic question rather than tactics…my Sister’s Army is almost completely painted now, but I only started drilling the barrels of Bolters and other Special Weapons with recent additions and most of the army did not receive that treatment. Asking you thoughts/opinions on whether or not I should go back and drill the barrels of the rest of the army (over seventy models)?

Sincerely,

CB

I think its a fun little side project but I dont think it will be as appreciated as the paint itself so if time is ever an issue for you, then paint bfore drilling but if you have the time, drill away.

Do eet! You don't have to do it all at once, so take your time. Keep painting your current batch and maybe grab a few of the completed ones at a time. It shouldn't take long to touch up the paint jobs.

I use a pin vice with a small drill bit.

Well I am having trouble painting due to illness and it's treatment and have just started using reading glasses to compensate for the sudden change in vision, so this may be a side project that gets me back in the saddle.

deviantduck cannot help with the intervention...but I am certain there is a support group out there.

Well the aye’s have it. I have started with the pin vice and have drilled 32 so far, mostly the special weapons as those Melta guns and Multi-Meltas have larger barrels.

Apologies on the deviation to modeling.

Cheers,

CB

Has anyone had any success with adding in inquisition to the list? Or is there any other armies that you've had succes with sisters running with?

Sisters and wolves work well together.

Priests and Celestine are great with the SW heavy hitters and you can get drop pods for your nasty Dom and ret squads.

I agree with Pretre, but I just cant stand all the wolfiness in my lists. Of course the no battle brothers in transports thing from the FAQ is the one rule everyone wants to use before the FAQ's are official around here.

I do like Coteaz coupled up with retributors in a bastion. They can put out a lot of shots with his "I've been expecting you" shenannigans. A simple Hereticus Inquisitor with a null rod and servo skulls can really help out a priest blob. Kind of like poking psyker and infiltrate/scout players in the eye before the game starts. Thats if you like witch filth in your lists...

Of course inquisitorial Warbands can be entertaining as well.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

Sister wolves for the win! Celestine and a priest help make a good star a great one. Mine ate 23 Wraiths Saturday. It would have been 25, but I failed a 3" charge with snake eyes to end the game.

of all the factions you migth want ot be a purists with, isnt this kind of at the top of that list? hehehe. The Witch Hunters codex allowed them to conscript other folks, but then that was when they were the Inquisition. Now that they F'd the fluff and separated it again, I feel a purist attitude is in order.

Except they lack a lot of variety or tools to do a lot of things that other factions do. Hence, the popularity of allies. I've done it both ways.

Ran the Sisters with some Inquisition Allies at NOVA this year, went 2-4, probably could have done a little better but Tau and un-nerfed invisibility plain hurt my feelings; and I'm also not all that good. Here is the write up:
