When I first encountered Gnolls, the did have 'regular person legs', at least in some of the art:
Gnoll
Flind
Even ol' Yeenoghu might have had them too:
I like them better with the dog legs though!

Doesn't look bad.
I'm supposing that building and the background material are all part on Renedra's new keep/ tower and possibly ruins scenery?

Well not, that is already better than the sculpts we have seen so far, though only having three toes seems a little odd. The deadly and terrifying sloth gnoll!

Gnoll is a solid sculpt.
I see Renedra are sticking with the 'back end of a plastic spoon and playdoh' school of terrain sculpting.

The question is, will those keeps be as reasonably priced as the GW terrain was?
I always thought the GW stuff was fairly priced (at least locally) for the size of the kits.

That metal Gnoll, toe issue aside looks pretty nice. Hopefully some of the other sculpts in the plastic box will look at least that nice.

That metal Gnoll is not on Rendera scenery. How I know this, I have eyes and a brain.

I substituted a series of whispering dwarves and a petrified lemon floating in a bowl of ether for those things. Happy with my choice in general but it has made it difficult to distinguish between the pick axe carved soap based terrain that different manufacturers produce.
Anyone have a good line on Frostgrave battle reports?

Maybe that is what started the whole gnoll/human animosity! The humans swung by, all smiles and good will, and gave the gnoll kiddies a tasty treat. That afternoon, it was all howls of "They poisoned our pups! Kill them all!" Bad times for all involved.

...there were new sightings of plastic Gnolls with irrefutable proof that they have the worst model builders on their staff assembling these kits.
Automatically Appended Next Post: sadly I think those two in the back might be the best built from this crop but the preview is so small it's hard to say. The teaser from FB says these are due out in the summer.

Models and components look good, though paint jobs aren't doing them a lot of justice. Bit too vibrant for gnolls, imo.

50% of them look pretty good to me, and the other half might be improved with better positioning and less goofy head options. I'm feeling optimistic about this kit now.

Yeah, I actually like the two heads on the right. I can't tell about the others.. between the picture and the paint.. it's hard to say. Back left might not be bad. The front two look very spiky. I'll probably drill the ears a bit and cut the hair down and resculpt it on those if it's really as bad as it looks. The weapons mostly look good but the far left and furthest back on the right.. I can't even see what they're holding. The torsos and legs look alright but the three toe thing is kinda weirding me out now. There's a couple of what is probably accessories from the sprue on there as well. Looks like a bone, a rat skull, a strapped on axe, a pelt, I think a dagger on the greatsword guy. The arms look a bit on the muscular side. I don't mind it and if there are extras I plan on using them on some monstrous humanoids and other goodies If I have time tomorrow, I'll try to see if I can take all the photos we've seen and sort out how many unique items from the kit have been revealed. Summer is a few months out and I'm curious to see how much we've seen already.

Is there a fluff explanation for the toes? I haven't read any stories with gnolls in The Frozen City omnibus yet. Otherwise, it comes across as "pfft, sculpting toes is too hard".

I have no clue but I did check some pictures of hyenas just to see if they happened to strangely have 3 claws on the back.. nah, the normal 4 plus probably that weird one up the leg a bit.
Anyway.. here's a compilation of the pictures we've seen so far.
I think the archer is the same grey we saw already.. or maybe the same parts anyway..
The one in the front in the group shot is the face from that circular promo shot and that head is on what someone identified as the 3-up.
The Axe in at least two of those pics is the same. Bow and arrow likely as well. Otherwise, I see a sword and shield and a greatsword.
So, all that said.. we've seen maybe 5 or 6 heads of a sprue that normally has 2-3 per body. There's only a handful of weapons being shown but other accessories I don't know how much more of that we'll see.
Hope that was helpful..

Northstar have been showing off a metal conversion pack for the plastic Soldier kit to turn them into forest outlaws. If this kit sells well they will do more.
They go on sale next week apparently
