MSNBC saw the commercial success FOX News was having and decided they wanted a piece of that for themselves, and now they're also a gakky political mouthpiece, albeit one aiming for a left wing crowd.

This doesn't make FOX News okay, and it doesn't mean we should start pretending that opinions formed on FOX News are informed. It just means that we should dismiss opinions formed by watching either FOX News or MSNBC... except the latter don't exist because no-one really watches MSNBC.

Actually, no. When you look at cable news providers, MSNBC's the outlier in terms of the fact-to-opinion ratio. Which doesn't make Fox particularly good, but claiming MSNBC's just doing the same thing is misleading. MSNBC went way, way off the deep end. FOX is just the one we hear about the most because it's the one that people who spend a lot of time arguing on the internet find themselves disagreeing with politically.

None of this propaganda 'journalism' is good, on either side of the spectrum. It leads to bs like articles claiming Santa's a tool of white supremacy, and counter-features about how he's not.

That is why I get all my opinions from Dakka and my conservative cousins who hates people who lives of welfare, but is one unemployment

uh I don't know if getting your opinions on Dakka would be a good thing, but we definitely get a good variety of posters. I'd say Dakka is a good place to vet your opinions and see other peoples opinions in action.
