There are not the words for this. . .
But I do have to say I have never thought such low things when reading Corpsesarefun's posts before. Though perhaps it is just animal corpses that are fun?
Deliberate torture and death of anything is not the same as "I need/want food" and even suggesting similarities is insulting and asinine.

Not the same, but comparable. Sources of food exist that require no pain or death for animals.

You horrible, horrible evil bitch! I say rot for all I care about those who perform acts of cruelty on animals! they don't choose their homes and it's our responsibility as owners to care and look after them! NOT put them in a freakin' oven! some people just seriosuly push my ususlly polite demeanor to a place where I just want to do them serious harm! :-( I feel so sad for that animal.

Insulting to whom? Certainly not the cat, it is dead and was an animal.

I do think it's sad and terrible. But there's also a fethton of that in the world, and I'd rather save the bulk of my tears and outrage for the cases involving my species. Especially considering that I (like many people) EAT cute little animals on a daily basis that haven't always been killed in the most humane ways. As others have said, check out a slaughterhouse sometime.
There are a lot of people out there who seem to possess more ability to empathize with a kitten than they do another human being.
Kittens are cute. people suck. See the difference?

The amount of pathetic kneejerkery in this thread. It's a new one!
Of course by posting this I am saying that I enjoy torturing kittens and puppies. That's how it goes, right? Because it's either "KILL HER" or "I HATE PUPPIES", those are the only choices right?

In which case not only would he be wrong but he'd also be violating rule 1 of dakka.
At which point did I make any indication that I "get off on torturing animals"? I owned two guinea pigs, an animal still eaten in parts of South America, for three years and wept like an infant when they died because they were my guinea pigs. I don't cry for the deaths of the thousands other guinea pigs that die around the world.

It seems to be, but that's the interest for you. Look at any OT thread. Basically the only two types of posts you see in response to Bad People doing bad things are bizarre and extreme torture fantasies or smug counter-posts pointing out how nutty and extreme the people who are writing the bizarre and extreme torture fantasies seem to be.

People care about things they personally interact with more than things they don't. If you want a different example, I would be upset if my mother died but I would not be upset if a random other individual's mother died.

That's a very callous statement to make a shows a clear disregard for life. I wouldn't expect anyone to mourn over the death of a stranger, but to show no sympathy whatsoever is unfathomably cold.
@Daedulus, I'll never understand the torture fascination. Jail her, don't jail her. Execute her, don't execute her. Torture should never even come into the discussion. As it does we go from judgment and punishment into warped realm of revenge.

I'll take the troll bait.
It's actually just simple human emotion at work. My emotional connection to my mother is far greater and stronger than that to some randomer's mother halfway across the world, and it's only logical for me to feel a far greater degree of sadness for the loss of my mother over theirs. I doubt Corpses would feel absolutely nothing - not being upset =/= feeling no amount of sympathy whatsoever as you seem to be wishing he'd said - but the fact that he'd mourn more for his mother's loss than someone else's does not show a 'clear disregard for life' in any way, shape, or form.
What you seem to be doing is showing an unhealthy obsession with trying to denounce people as awful humans.

How is that trolling? Am I to be expected to reach into a poster's mind and rip out his thoughts in order to determine what he actually meant? He clearly stated he would not be upset. Had he meant something different he should have worded it differently or clarified his statement. Of course you will feel greater sorrow when someone close to you dies. That is completely natural.

If I was told or read that the mother of a random other person had died I would not care whatsoever whereas if I personally witnessed the violent death of the mother of a random other person I would probably be quite traumatised. To provide another example, if the mother of a friend of mine had died I would care but nowhere near as much as if my mother had died.

You certainly seem like you're able to reach into his mind, seeing as though you managed to deduce completely on your own that he's a cold, repugnant, and gets off on animal torture, as well as somehow knowing that when he said he wouldn't be upset if the mother of someone he didn't know died, he actually meant he would feel nothing whatsoever. As I already said, not being upset =/= feeling nothing as you seemed only too eager to imply.
I labelled you a troll because you are one.
