If so, decent answer against Waveserpent spam.
Nope only flyers and flying monstrous creatures so the rule says. Not skimmers sadly.
hes talking about the skyfire rule allowing you to roll normal BS against skimmers,
now that BW's are dedicated transports (hopefully for boyz and more units too!) I would LOVE to fill up some heavy slots with traktors and gorkanaughts or somthing.

With that auto-Immobilised result...yeah. But, I thought skyfire could target skimmers at BS too? (or, am I mixing up editions again...) EDIT: ninja'ed.

For the traktor gun when it says that you need to wound them for them to take the -3 modfier, does that mean just "wound them", or do they need to fail their armor/invul as well for it to take effect?

Is it just me or are the Smasha Gun, the Kustom Mega-Kannon and the Zzapp Gun all way too similar? Basically just three different ways of doing the same job.
Bubble Chukka isn't a game changer, but a large blast is always nice, even if it's low strength.
The big news seems to be how incredibly good kannons have become (assuming their rules haven't changed). Five missile-launcher equivalents for 90 points is fantastic value and they are very durable to shooting attacks. Probably going to be some opportunity for shenanigans, giving them slow-and-purposeful by adding a mega-armour character to the unit.
If painboys are ICs and still give FNP, I'm curious if they will think to include something to stop it working on artillery. I can see the ork deathstar being a bunch of characters attached to a maximum size artillery battery... KFF for invulnerable save, Painboy for FNP, weirdboy giving whatever buffs he gives, someone in mega-armour to soak AP 3 hits and keep the unit mobile.

With no painboy for the Flash Gits and no Runtherd or Mek for the Mek Guns, doesn't it seem likely that all oddboys are going to end up either as ICs or attachable like the Necron Royal Court / Warlock Council?
Lots of opportunities for fine-tuning units if that is the case.

It's just an odd mortar. It's nothing like what the classic bubble chukka in epic or rogue trader was. The traktor kannon is part way there. They could have had a rule whereby hit vehicle's weapons get hot or similar to represent the bubbles. Shame really as its lost potential. Equally the smasha gun is just a single shot shokk attack gun. Doesnt do any "fun" tank killing. Heh Ho, the models look good at least...

Traktor Kannon is just brilliant. 30pts and it's easily the best Anti-Air gun in the game. Here's hoping the price to buy the actual kit isn't too high...

The Tracktor Kannon is awesome. No question.
I'm still taken aback by the Smasha Gun. Orks... getting an AP1 weapon??? For SHOOTING?????? With BS3???????? I never ever thought I would see the day.
That thing is just awesome for the cost. A battery of 3-5 is very affordable, and useful against Monstrous Creatures, and light vehicles. Against heavy vehicles it's much more of a gamble, but still not horrible.

The Bubble Chukka just reads like the rules weren't very well thought out for it. If it had some kind of special rule attached to it to represent the forcefields being thrown at the enemy, it would have been much better. Such as having Ignores Cover, or any unit hit by it treats all terrain as dangerous, or a unit hit by it is at -1 BS for their next turn... something!
But as it is, it just sucks. I'll be using the Bubble Chukka bitz as gubbins on other Ork models, you bet.

Just checked the "Immobilised" result on the new chart for Flyers. You have 33% chance to make the vehicle "Crash and burn"! That's so cool!
If only it had Interceptor...
I don't know yet what's the best way to go. 5 Smasha Guns + 5 Traktor Kannons? That takes two Heavy Support slots.
I really have to focus on what makes possible to field two FOC in 7th edition.

Also it looks like Ammo Runts are exactly the same as before, reroll to hit. Confirmed in WD.

The fact that each Gun can only take ONE Ammo Runt is making me wonder if they changed the special rule for Ammo Runts.
Do any of the articles specifically mention what they do? I'm curious if maybe an Ammo Runt would let you reroll one to-hit roll PER TURN (they wouldn't be consumed when used). Probably not, but an Ork can dream.
Yeah re-reading everything there's no way that'd be the case... that rule would basically make Ammo Runts turn anything into a twin-linked weapon. Oh well.

The prices page have also been posted via grotorderly £28 for the Gunz (which is almost reasonable if you do get all 4 barrels so you can kitbash 4 gunz) £22.50 for the Mek

I like that they are now 5 per choice instead of 3, just in case there is more competition in the heavy support slots you can add 5 to your army without costing too many points and still have other heavy support choices.
though some of the guns are more impressive than others at least we have more than 3 choices now. This codex may bring me back to actually playing 40k i've been dormant for a few years now..

Especially now if the new Flash Gitz is of any indication, that Battlewagons/Trukks are more likely purchaseble as dedicated transport, rather than taking up a FoC slot.

I'm really liking all the grotz that come with the mek gun, the one leaning on the cable drum is going to be very popular with converters in particular.
So the prices are a bit worse than the earlier rumor but the gun platform is fairly large and comes with six grotz and at least four big guns but it's not clear on whether the base cannon and Lobba etc are in the kit as well?
The sag mek looks lovely, I might get one at some point.
That still leaves the codex, new warboss, meganobz, basic mek and pain boy/dok then?
