I was kind of hoping for wargear tables called things like 'mek workshop', 'pile o' gunz', 'da trophy rakk' and so on. Even the Tau lists have more flavour.
EDIT: I wonder if 'Ard Case will offer any extra benefit to justify a 15 point cost, or if it will still be a waste?
It's not really a waste on a non-transport now.

Non-open-topped is a much bigger deal for orks now. Makes the contents immune to flamer weapons for one.

That or you have to pay an extra 20 bucks for a limited edition Soopa-Orkified version of the codex where everything is written in Orkspeak. Then they can actually justify having poor grammar and spelling.

You joke, but potential (inevitable?) rules issues aside, a book written entirely in Ork-speak would at least justify the price of a Ltd. Ed. more than a fething dust cover.

It actually worries me a bit that the deffrolla's been reduced to a mere ten points...I also REALLY hope the killkannon is ALOT better now...
It was really underwhelming in it's previous edition and with no decent gun, no ork tank army's gonna be much fun to play.

Morkanaut model is a blast to paint. Decent size. Got nuked today though with a heap of blaster and dark lance shots killing him
Morkanaut:
He is incomplete. I need to finish his base and his forge world crewmen, but his body is 95% complete. Need to weather him a little more and finish the paint chipping.
I need to repaint the little bobble on the side of the mek gunner's head. It will be blue.
With lootas for some scale:

They look the same as on GW's site and the claw toes only hook to the larger foot component on the front. THe claw things are the same as on the deff dreads, so I assume they all match up!
And thanks! Like I said, I lost him to a total of 9 dark lance shots and a laser cannon. Made zero KFF saves. What could I do though, that amount of fire will kill most everything. He survived down to two hull points then took a 6 on the chart from the lance and blew up. I won the game though.

I'm worried too. My bet is that the deffrolla, at that price, will now be a single attack at str 10.

Looted wagon looks good....except that it is also heavy support.
So now we have: Dread, Kans, Nauts, Battle Wagons, looted wagons, Looters, Flashgits, and Mekguns, all competing for those 3 slots.
I'm hoping that the looted wagon is somehow a dedicated vehicle for some mob, but since it supposedly is only in WD, not the codex, that seems to be a very small chance.

That sprue is full of great stuff. The Space Marine tanks/transports already come with a cannon, I would be content with that as the killcannon. And could fill the void with a different grot. So for me the hot item to add would be just the deffrolla. Puppetswar's rolla is stunning, and while worth the price difference to some - Id be forced to buy the standard in good financial conscience. The Forgeworld option for the first time every is lackluster compared to the plastic GW option. At $5 a pop for a rolla, I'd buy 6. At $8 a rolla I'd buy 4. I am a huge fan of looted wagons, and Ork looting in general. I can't wait to see what those Ork vehicle options are. As it stands, I'd only buy one battlewagon upgrade with the deffrolla, and if I had a few before buying I might buy two and hate myself a little bit in the morning.

If you are careful, you can pry the rolla open a little and wiggle it off the wagon. I never leave home without mine though.

So now the only plausible stuff is Warboss and MANZ? I feel dissapointed as I wanted the Whirlybird or at least one more new unit. I am not one that dislikes the Mork/gorkanaout buuuut I think there should been another big kit release, we already have enough walkers. And that is coming from me which LOVE ork walkers.

Let's recap on what Squidbot leaked to us: The new mid size stompa thing looks like a pregnant Deff Dread. Comes with various weapon mountings, including what looks like a KFF. - Confirmed New Gretchin models, including a grot oiler. - Confirmed, Mek gun grots New mega nobs, not plastic versions of the existing. - Confirmed from earlier WD pics Big Mek in mega armour with some interesting KFF like add ons. - Unconfirmed Big Mek in Mega Armour with shoulder mounted weapons, maybe SAG but doesn't look like it. - Unconfirmed Warboss is similar to the remodelling of the Helbrute from Dark Vengeance, it looks like a reworking of the AOBR Warboss with an attack Squig - Unconfirmed, possibly this new Warboss character we've been seeing New Pain Boy with a kind of Narthecium cybork hand. - Confirmed from the WD pics Flash Gitz (They look particularly awesome, very much like Freebootaz with loads of variation in the kit). - Confirmed Big Gunz. Total redesign. - Confirmed There's possibly more, as Squidbot may not have seen everything. He didn't see the codex, that's for sure. Seeing as we get the codex preorders this week for both regular and Warboss edition, after them means the MANZ, Meks, and Warboss will be out for preorder, giving us a 5 week release. Sadly, yes, that looks like the end of the Ork release and ''update''. Unless we get a second wave in a year, like our poor friends the 'Nids.
