Lord Mephiston just got an update! The Librarian is Space Hulk is brother Callistarius, the same guy who later becomes Mephiston! So in a way, he did just get a new model.

The rest of the codex, though, that's a different matter...

How do you figure a model from 2009 is new tho?

I really hope they fix things though. Currently we need flicker fields to also protect crew IMHO as no escape is simply too much. We also need better AT. I am hoping haywire is the answer.

Yeah, the Razorwing is a single-seat fighter, while the Voidraven is a twin-seat bomber.

Ideally would be a seperate, larger (maybe even a dual kit).

That's what I thought and hoped.

Any news on the Limited Edition book yet?
I'm tempted to get it if it's like the Ork and SW release, and I'm not as good at following rumours or as up on the whole grapevine as I used to be anymore.

Books haven't been leaked/announced yet. I'm guessing the week after (based on recent examples).

LOL, Symphony of Pain, a free game that only requires the purchase of £37.00 of models to play!

(Yeah, I know, one could simply use paper counters if one wanted, but that clearly isn't the motivation for GW in printing it. )

I get the feeling that certain people are pre-programmed to always see the worst, no matter how good anything is.

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

No, it's not the worst, it is simply the most simple explanation.

Everything. Every. Single. Thing. GW do is geared towards manipulating their customers into buying more of their gak. Which is fine, they're a commercial enterprise after all, except they're exceptionally clumsy about it. Which, when one considers some of the rumours that leak out from time to time, or even outright statements made under oath on public record, makes sense because several key members of senior management don't appear to hold the customer base in very high regard, so they probably think we're collectively dumb enough to fall for their bull gak.

The sad fact is, I think enough people may be feckless enough to fall for it to continue to support it for some time yet, but the GW that used to have at least a few people who were gamers first and money vampires at least second, would have made this as a game with punch out counters, and perhaps just a suggestion that you could use models instead.

I agree with you. GW is not the company it once was.

It actually used to be a game company that made some models (many of their models were made by other companies) and then bought up those other companies and became a model company that has some games. As they are now a model company any rules they make have to sell models.

That said I wonder if we will see any different rules for wrack drivers for vehicles, or just flavor. TBH I do like flavor, even if there are no new rules.

White Dwarf wrote:You will need; five Wracks and a Haemonculous per player

I'm all for balanced criticism, I think the frothing negative "Haters" do a lot of damage by drowning out valid criticism and providing apologists something to rail against without needing any real substance to their arguments, but in this case, they really are expecting you to have over £70 of models to have a game.

Now, there are ways of playing the game that wouldn't require this which are so fething obvious that I ask people not to spend pages pointing them all out, but the fact is that is what the magazine is encouraging people to do, and like I said, trying to encourage your customers to buy your stuff is fine, I'd rather they did it in a way that was a little more sophisticated.
