The 3D Space Hulk game I played in was incredible!

I know right, that space hulk game was fantastic! They ran a new scenario Friday and then repeated last year's scenario Saturday, so I had gotten to play that same setup last year, as did Mannahnin. It was so well balanced even with 4 players! I saw the Basement of Doom guy who organized it afterwards and he mentioned your marines got wiped out, hope it was in a blaze of glory (although as a tyranids player I approve of this outcome). Last year marines won one game on the final turn, and nids won the other.

Mannahnin (who I roomed with the first day) also did a few of the single day 40k events prior to participating in the team tourney, and seemed to enjoy them. I think it was the Classic and Highlander events. And his team's space dwarf army with the huge mountain was in the armies on display after the team tourney, along with a dozen or so other awesome armies (loved the Harlequin / IG display, and the undead Eldar army who had used Nagash bits with their Wraithknight).

I also managed to get addicted to Boss Monster in the evenings, thanks yak

I had an absolute blast! It was great seeing everyone and as always how can you have a bad weekend when you are rolling dice and drinking beer? Thanks to all of the staff that put on the event! It was an awesome new venue and I am already looking forward to next year.

Thanks Remedy . They seemed to, we got 400 signups! The best part was seeing guys grab their friends to come check us out after they saw it, we had one guy come back five times!

Big thanks to the staff for moving ours and the neighbouring booth away from facing that sliding wall of doom - that thing was intense

Another cool thing was seeing such big names in the industry - like "Oh, that's just Victoria Lamb walking by, no big deal" (of course, we all geeked out). Somehow, I never got to see Andy Chambers, which was a bummer because I wanted to quiz him about Dropfleet!

I had a fantastic time, played the Championship, did some Zone Mortalis and Combat Patrol, lots of cool people there. And of course, spent way too much money on Forgeworld.

I'm not own to squee over celebrities, but meeting people that create stuff you like is one of the coolest parts of cons. At my first Origins, I got to meet Michale Stackpole, who wrote IMO some of the best Star Wars expanded universe novels.

At adepticon this year, I got to not only meet Victoria and Jake, but watched them play with a complete Mathilda kit. That was pretty cool!

played 40k Classic, Zone Mortalis and Combat Patrol. Lots of friendly games. Glad I didnt do Champs or TT, and just did smaller games with great people.

This was my second year at Adepticon and I had a great time again.

I played in both the championship and the team tournament.

I really enjoyed having the mix of maelstrom and standard missions as an alternative to only having modified maelstrom missions.

The only complaint I had about the Maelstrom missions was that they were just straight Maelstrom. I'd be happier if there were other objectives. I saw a handful of games where the points were very uneven just because, as happens with Maelstrom, one player got easily obtainable objectives, while the other got mostly objectives on the opponents half of the board or something that they could not achieve in a realistic amount of time.

I've come to really enjoy scenarios where there are Tactical cards, but also other ways to get points (outside of the normal Slay the Warlord/First Blood/Linebreaker). Maybe that's just me.

Was great to see and meet everyone! (guy with monopod taking photos) Everyone had such awesome armies!

I was the like the 6th picture of the armies you have on your page and all of my necrons are in a big pile of dead things. HAHA! Should of told me and I would of set them up again.

I probably have more photos of them. You are just seeing the "quick army shots". It was nearly impossible to get shots because people would break down the armies the seconds the judges got there. I was running around like a mad man.

I got another few hundred shots of close ups, and people playing that will be up later in the week though!

Adepticon doesn't publish lists, and as far as I know, no blogs/sites were doing coverage to the level of asking for lists from the finalists.

Nick won with his Plague Drone star (there are Battle Reports over in the BR forum with essentially the exact list, it's referred to as "Birds and Bees" over there); I ended up second on tiebreakers with a more traditional Screamerstar/CSM allies build.

I'm somehow completely blanking on third place because of the overwhelming lack of sleep. Fourth place was Aaron Aleong with a Bike/Wolf build.

Top 32 had tons of Eldar, 4 Necrons, an Ork, I think two other Daemons (for a total of four), at least one AdLance, a few Space Marines, etc. I don't personally have specifics on many of those lists (excepting the ones I played against) but there was a lot of "traditional" Eldar--3-5 Wave Serpents, 1-2 Wraithknights, 1-3 Jetbikes, season to taste.

You can view the exact list of qualifiers by going to the Results page mentioned earlier in the thread and filtering to BP--the table on the Adepticon website is interactive and you can filter it. Full results for the Finals won't be up for a few days I'd bet, as most of the organizers don't live in the area and are travelling back home after a long week, and the Team Tournament steals the spotlight over the weekend (as it should).

I had a fantastic time this year. Played all 40k because the End Times just isn't my cup of tea and my fantasy armies are on pause until 9th edition. I played in the 40k champs, Horus Heresy tournament, and the 40k team tournament.

It was an absolute blast. Props to the 40k crew for running great events, and running it on time. I was super happy to take Best Sports in the 40k Champs.

I want to give a shout out to the folks that ran the Horus Heresy event. They did a great job, and had great scenarios and fun awards in addition to the traditional ones at the end. I hope they keep the format again next year because they did a great job.

Also - the judges were awesome. Our 40k team has a goal of making a board good enough to be displayed Saturday night, and I asked for feedback on what we'd need to do better to make that happen and one of them was nice enough to take a pretty decent amount of time to walk me through not just our board this year and what we could improve, but also walk me through one of the boards on display to point out things we could think about doing going forward. It was super appreciated.

I can't wait for next year. You know it's a good tournament when you spend the 7 hours driving home talking about what you want to do next year.

Had a blast and it was a good time seeing everyone I only get to see once to twice a year. Thanks to the organizers for another great year.

Also really liked the new venue gaming area. Didn't almost get my army knocked out of my hands once this weekend which is a 100x improvement over the Lombard.

I think 3rd place was the guy who was friends with Daniel (your 8th round match). I didn't catch his name, but scanning the list I think it was Joonas with Necrons. It probably will be updated at some point.

The meta assement above is pretty spot on. There were also a few lynx, a few super friends style lists and a few centurion stars. I saw a few nid and tau players, but I don't think they made it that far through the rankings.

Malifaux at Adepticon was -as the kids say- on fleek.

Except table 25. Table 25 can take a flying fornication at rolling pastry.

Table 25 knows what it did.

I did see a lot of Malifaux players, seemed like the turnout was great for it! I didn't see the Infinity players as much, but heard they were there... just that their room was on the other side of the hotel (whereas Malifaux's was on the main hall leading to the large end space where the vendors and 40k events were).

It was a nice turn out, and good times were had. Where was the 40k? I didn't even get to that hall.

I heard a Fistfull of Seaman was there, and was hilarious.

Had a blast as well. Did the Friendly and Team. The friendly was a BLAST. Though being one of the team captains we kept doing captain challenges so the third game became a little fuzzy after my opponent and I drank a whole bottle of 'The Knot Irish whiskey, then broke into some canadian whiskey. So much fun. Thanks to all the Adepticon crew and volunteers.

Just being around the friendly tournament was infectious. I'm definitely participating next year!

Yeah, I didn't know the Friendly was going to be that much fun, will totally sign up next year. Everyone seemed to be having a blast.
