cant get too high! 2 moderately big injuries today in Stork our center and Browner. Still can't believe the patriots were able to overcome their playoff nemesis AND the refs to go to their 9th AFCC in the last 14 years. Really nice to see Brady spread it around really well again. The pass by Edelman to Amendola was soo boss, the party I was at EXPLODED with screaming it was so fun. One of the most intense games I've ever watched!

So pumped up right now I probably won't sleep well ;p

Oh byte about rooting for denver.

HAHA! Yep. Epic game indeed.

I love to hate the Patriots. Lol! Its painful because I do like Josh McDaniels, hopefully after this season he'll get his own team again.

Hopefully Baltimore can hold onto Gary Kubiak. He's been great for the Ravens.

At least my boy Amendola is still playing... the only Patriot player I follow.

Go Green Bay and Denver!

Kubiak made Forsett a 1300 yard back. Dude should definately keep his job if he doesn't get another head coaching job.

As to mcdaniels for what it's worth Peter king said he believes mcdaniels will not take a head coaching job and will stay with the patriots. I'd like to see mcdaniels get another head job no it I fear for what we'd have replacing him.

Edit:@Whembly Amendola was the hero of the game today. He's really been doing much better since they let him start doing kickoffs.

I'm telling ya, Amendola is "mighty might" as long as he stays healthy. He has an uncanny knack for finding that seam.

Still wished he was a Rammie.

Agreed, dude has been pretty good when they've needed him to be.

So since seattle and NE have won today it puts GB and denver on high alert tomorrow. Since pretty much every year for the past 15+ has seen one of the 4 top seeds lose this weekend. I think only 1 or 2 years haven't seen a top seed upset. My bet is on Dallas upsetting GB.

My bet is on Romo being Romo again (that is, choking and completely botching the game in some way, as he does in the playoffs)

I am feeling very happy with my Seahawks right now. North Carolina made some very impressive drives but they just couldn't capitalize. Seattle, on the other hand, made some amazing plays. I really want to see them in the Superbowl this year.

Probably not this year, but next season (the one starting in 2016) as he needs to clean house some, and get players more to his liking, as is the norm almost any time a new coach comes in.

He walked into NYJ and immediately made that defense that was good, much better. I think starting next year buffalo is gonna have a top 3 defense. Although there will probably be some shuffling. And frankly it won't matter if they can't get the offense at least somewhat settled and operating efficiently. But last time Rex had this much talent he went to 2 straight AFCC games.

Wow. That game was nothing like I thought it would be. Where did the Colts find a defense?

Pats I has always been able to pull a scheme out when he needs to. His brother in SD is the same. Occasionally they scheme a brilliant plan. And the blue print to beat Peyton is well established.

Does this mean your a colts fan now? That's a lot of teams in a short time ;p

I'm not sure either, but I'm sure as hell not sad about it.

Can't wait walrus! Gonna be a helluva game next Sunday. Andrew luck is really emerging and it's gonna be brutal seeing him take over the AFC soon as Brady is done. Since I still hold bad feelings for the colts from over the years ;p

Anyone else feel weird when the broadcasters pause and take a minute or two to focus on a defense or offense at the beginning of the game and they recite their names and what college they went to? I feel like you can always tell who has had the most head trauma in those lineups.

After watching that game, the NFL's rules regarding punt returns need to be revisited. It might be time to bring back something like the halo in a different form, because this is nonsense. Returners are almost as vulnerable as kickers and punters.

I don't think the rules need to be revisited, they need to be fething enforced.... that thing you posted was rough.

IMO, the offensive lines are moving far, far too much these days for me, and the officiating has definitely gotten more lax on holding calls on the offensive lines.... they seem to never call it when it "doesnt matter" but as soon as its potentially game changing, they pull the flags out for the most minor infraction.

I totally agree... I'm surprised we haven't seen even more serious injuries for that.

Not sure what would be the fix, but because this is the NFL... they'll likely feth that up too.

I don't understand what the problem is? Cribbs could have fair caught it and not gotten hit... So unless he called for a fair catch and still got hit he knew exactly what he was getting into.

I agree. He needs to have the situational awareness to realize he's not getting any return yards on either of these punts and fair catch it. His pride/overconfidence seemed to be the problem.

Can Rodgers beat Seattle? Because I don't foresee the pack holding Wilson/lynch in check. I think he's good enough if healthy but with a hurt leg is that line good enough to hold up for him?

I don't know who I'd rather see win that game. I think the packers are a better matchup for New England but I also think a healthy Rodgers can beat us again. I feel like the Patriots at least have a decent chance of beating Seattle or GB though. That's all if they get through Luck and the Colts which isn't a given by any means.

I know about the rule when trying to catch the ball on the way "falling" to the ground...

And, I'm a Packers fan in this...

But, this was a catch the moment his right elbow touched the ground and he still has a firm grip on the ball on his left hand.

I'm torn in that one. On one hand by rule it's not a catch. On the hand if you ignore rules and just count a catch on whether or a not a recieved caught it by just using that metric it seems like a catch to me. And that may seem convuluted or explained wrong idk.
