Not to be obtuse, but what's the problem? That is a TS army. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it any less TS.

It's a Chaos Marine army with a couple of Thousand Sons squads, led by a Thousand Son Sorcerer. But let's not start on what is and what isn't a Legion army.

If I knew someone into Orks, I'd totally pick up the new boxed set.. That frost axe is great.

Hm, I don't think you're being obtuse at all, pretre. but 50 Night Lords and Red Corsairs themed guys doesn't seem very "TS Army". I agree HBMC, I wasn't trying to start that argument so I'll back off.

I think I will. I'd have a lot of fun painting that SW character and keepin' the mini rulebook.

In the past whenever I purchased a paper-backed codex or rulebook, I've always taken it to Office Max or whatever to cut-and-bind it with a cover and backing. Extends the life greatly and I recommend it

I got a few extra Orks to go with the new box. And when I say "a few" I mean two Mek Mobz, three extra Manz, two boxes of Flash Gitz and the plastic Shokk Attack Gun and Painboy. Hopefully this release is a success for GW and they do further campaigns/campaign boxes.

Again, GW has been actively removing abilities like this since 4th edition, would be a major retrograde action, and *really* bad game design if true.

It would be nice to have that little WG character in each unit for free, wouldn't it? It's not overpowered of course, and it removes the clunky mechanic of divvying out your WG to different units.. That's just an extra paragraph that wasn't necessary. Just make 'em sergeants and have a standalone WG unit of vets, I say. There's your combi-meltas in drop pods, AND you've got a nice 2 attack character with that powerfist in a unit of GH or something.

I do hope that Grey Hunters don't get any major changes. They work well as a troops choice and fit all the fluff that they have (not the GW seems to be staying with some of the long time fluff but hey). I just don't want to see them basically becoming a vanilla space marines list. Oh and +1ppm for CC for GH would be fine

Yea I think that's the new approach for those folks. I get the reasoning, they want to make these epic characters seem larger then they are by throwing them in with titans. Problem is, when I imagine a chaos titan I figure Abadon owns it and is in the vanguard near it. With this approach it is either him OR the titan, while lucius and Kharne get to have their titans and eat it too

Do the Wolves gain access to all the C:SM items they lack? Normally I'd immediately say no as it is a big part of what diferentiates them.

However this will be the first meq codex of the edition which seeks to let you field anything you own. Will the desire to expand the sales of those items trump the desire to keep each faction unique?

Oh definitely, I should have said I meant in game play. Maybe we will get a vanguard pod with blind missiles for the launcher.... Pure wishlisting of course.

I'm not liking these Lords of War changes, especially with the lack of beefing them up like we saw with Gaz. Tournaments that are banning LoW now need to rethink it as standard HQ choices are being added to that spot.

But Aun'Va is so easy to forget. Calgar may be the greatest tactician since Gulliman, Eldrad the greatest Farseer the Eldar have seen, Swarmlord is thousands of years of evolution made into a weapon... Aun'Va has a floating chair and a funny hat.
