Ok, I got a little more work done today and probably wont get back to it until Wednesday.

Got the side panels on the mechanical arm and began to even everything out.

Then added some reflectors to the top of the arm.

Made sure to cut enough reflectors for the entire project, most likely will have some left over.

Then started ti put them on the barricades. Was going to put them on the side, but I didnt like how much they stuck out so I decided to mount them on the tops.

And they are all ready for painting

Started on the tire spikes

Testing out spikes

Then I started on the rising barricade. Here is the pic of the beginning mechanics of this piece. Here you can see the grooves and rollers. More to come on this one.

Blergh you lot are so quick. At least I still have the excuse of a new born to fall back on. Although i still hope to finish

I have the basis of the tarmac and gravel done with my sign uprights, and i ahve started work on the sign and gantry. It still needs more detail, but i need to think about that.

All I can tell you is that Model color is their regular line as opposed to GAME color which were meant to be closer approximations to GW colors. You'll probably get a more even mix of colors in it, in that case. I wonder if they have a chart somewhere.

Try this maybe?
http://cdn.acrylicosvallejo.com/96921f6a542f9c4908aacc121b259cc0/Carta_ModelColor_rev01.pdf

That isn't a list of contents, it's the link to their model color line. Maybe the same thing though if you get the big kit?

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Some awesome looking work going on - I did kind of a test piece for an elevated track pylon and it did not look too great so will be restarting it, probably at the weekend

Well, decided to get some building on. 6 inches high, 2 inches at the base and 1.5 inches at the top. Based on a CD.

Materials I've used so far.
The "skin" from a hollow core interior door
ring between showerhead and wall
guts from a broken smoke detector
cut offs from cork underlay for hardwood flooring
old co2 detector
ringer from doorbell
assorted gearing from a blender
scrap wire
the ball that diverts water from the bath faucet to showerhead
the assorted grit that accumulates in the bottom of a tool belt

I work in the construction field and am lucky enough to have a position that allows me to touch nearly every facet of the process. Every time I see an interesting looking piece I throw it in my belt and take it home. So far 100% percent of my project is made out of garbage. Feels....Orky.

This stuff is looking amazing. I'm still working on the planks for my bridge. I got some little 2mm bead things to use as rivets. I still have not approached the paper mache mushrooms though...

Forgive me now! Tomorrow I may no longer feel guilty...

No! Can't give a better answer than that. Dive in. But as you can see from the WIPs, you need to bring your A game.

And number 20. Welcome.

All present and accounted for (that is to say, OP updated with y'all's names)

Doc, no Kraftwerk, please. That sound, that Casio sound. Aargh. (I think it was their song "Pocket Calculator" that actually made me homicidal; temporarily, of course ) For good German techno, Tangerine Dream. How about something from The Firm? Apologies to those who will not be able to see it. GEMA, I believe, is the cause.

I am thinking about making a bridge layer engineering tank based on the Malcador pattern hull. Would blazing your own roads count?

Also I have to agree, Tangerine Dream is some good music. I also rather like Infected Mushroom and others of the psytrance ilk.

I made one of those for a terrain contest last year on another site and I thought it came out fairly well. I no longer have the finished pics, but here are my WiP pics that might give you some ideas. =D

The Frozen North

Here is the general idea thus far, please pardon the two minute rough sketch...

It would be based upon a Valdor tank killer that had a critical malfunction with the neutron laser that rendered it unable to be repaired. Rather than simply discarding a still operable chassis, the engineering corp requisitioned the hulk, with the approval and guidance of their techpriest of course. The void left by the neutron laser, it seemed, was ideal for the placement of a massive block and tackle crane allowing for the recovery of even the largest of battle tanks short of the Baneblade class. Grizel (ancient Gaelic for gray battle maid), as the boys called her, is currently in operations as a bridging vehicle and served without too much complaint.

Just a vehicle? or a vehicle blazing the road?
