Insaniak's just farming for post exalts. Gotta step up from 5th place.

I'm a little late, but that flamer section is really nice. The Solar release has been quite excellent so far. Looking forward to more.

That's sadly the last set of Solar Auxiliary models that was shown in the fourth book. I'm still holding out for the medics, command squad and Ogryn though.

I can't imagine there not being some sort of command squad at some point in the future.

I'd also bet on some sort of heavy weapon/light artillery squad thing.

I'm also holding out for a model that represents a Legate Commander.

As for the artillery, they got some damn cool Rapier variants, can't wait for one with the laser destroyer array.

Take a Lord Marshal, make them elites and all of the sudden those guys with the power axes are WS5.

I loved power blob Guard in 5th. This would be the next best thing.

Sadly, these guys can't be taken in blobs. On the bright side though, 30K Guard is even cheaper than their 40K equivalent pointwise in some cases.

I don't have the book yet (convincing Mrs. Sails to buy it for me for my birthday), but aren't they all in carapace?

I know the 20-man squads are pretty cool, but they lack any sort of special/heavy weapons, correct? Which I guess is made up for by 10-man squads consisting of nothing but specials.

Its pseudo blob I guess. Frankly, 20 guys backed by 10 guys with solid weapons all in carapace sounds like a solid core to any Guard-esque army.

The regular rifle squads are twenty guardsmen in carapace armour with lasguns, a free vox, standard and the option to super-charge those suckers for an extra 25 pts per squad. The best part though, 100 pts for a squad of 20.

The two other options are the Veletaris (come with volkite chargers, though these can be exchanged for either rotor cannons or power axes) and the flamer section where every model comes with a flamer.

Sounds like a great alternative way to play with my Guard models...or to buy a second army. Because who needs to eat anyways?

Well, I'll patiently wait to see how the army list gets filled and rounded out.

Well, on top of that almost all of these guys get +1 to WS when they are in base to base contact with at least one other model with the same rule when in melee plus they overwatch on BS2.

In all seriousness though, this is the Space Crusade Dread, which was armed to the mother fething teeth! Interesting to see their take on it.

A bit overblown.

I am hoping for some reverse joint chicken walker style legs for it and a more wedge shaped sloping head.

Welp... Don't care what that is. Or how crap it is. I do care how expensive it is, but gawdam I want that model.
