Not really no, but then maybe I'm just used to it. The only time I've ever remotely felt the size of the car is occasionally when Im trying to park a certain way in my garage

Just traded in my 2009 Saturn (with all the GM problems) in for a 2010 Ford Escape.
I just wish the Escape had AWD, but I wasn't really in the position to be that picky. Just means I have to wait for the streets to be plowed to drive home from work (so like, 3-4 days after it snows in Minnesota)

We just bought my wife an escape and we love it. I think the seats are too stiff but otherwise I enjoy it. I personally still drive my 95 Buick and love it. Decent gas mileage and super dependable.

When I was in high school and coming to the driving age, there was a guy around the corner selling a DeLorean that was in really good shape. My mom said it looked like a steel death trap and wouldn't let me get it.
I currently drive a 2012 VW Golf TDI, because I get 45-50 mpg and it's a manual.
I also have a 2003 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition, the limited edition two tone, not the other one. I don't drive it as much because it only get 12-14 mpg. But I refuse to get rid of it because it's paid off (mines, all mines!!) And the moment I get rid of it is the moment i'll need a pick up again.
My wife has a 2005 Ford Focus Z3. Not a great car but it has 4 wheels, an engine, and works, so .....

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I've become a Chevy person after owning a pair of Blazers. Still driving the second one, an '02 Blazer ZR-2. Love it, love it, love it. Use it to haul all sorts of stuff for the farm (cept the big round hay bails, those have to go in the Dakota). I've put a couple hundred thousand miles on it in the <8ish years I've owned it. Other than the transmission finally dying on me, no major problems. I do miss driving a stick shift though.

Subarus are great. They generally have pretty good gas miliage, can haul a load of peope and stuff (great for camping) and are just generally good cars. They just keep on going as well.

While true, I don't particularly enjoy driving my wife's Outback. She got the "base" engine, so, to me, it feels gutless and the steering is a bit stiff compared to my Audi

I envy you Americans and your big muscle cars. I suppose it’s just natural what with America being a much more dispersed country and thus requiring much greater driving distances. British cars tend to be much smaller engine wise. Which considering that our fuel prices about three times yours is just as well. My current car is a Mitsubishi. Not my choice but it was a freebie from the in laws (they emigrated and gave us their car rather than sell it) so I can’t really complain.

I’ve had four cars:
Ford Crown Victoria station wagon
Chevy Celebrity
Toyota Camry
VW Jetta
So I’m going to have to go with “no” on that. Although I do enjoy the VW, and would lean that way if I needed to get another car. But would still shop the market and see what the best in my range/market was.

I currently own a 2012 Mercedes C250. Much sportier and less 'old man' than the E class. It has a 4 cylinder engine with twin turbo. Great gas mileage and it really goes when you need it.
My wife has a Lexus IS250 and, as a long time Lexus owner, got us an invite to test drive the new 2015 RC350 next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. I hope we get a red one
She's in the market for a new car. Any thoughs on these:

Audi A5
Porsche Macan

No idea on the Porsche, but here's my two cents on the Audi's:
Q7... if she has driven, and likes "SUVs" then it may be a good idea, but really it will drive so differently from her current vehicle that she may hate it and want a new car sooner.
The A5 is very close in spectrum to an A4, or an A6 like I drive. I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOVE my A6. Similar to your Benz, it gets decent mileage (if I could keep my foot out of it that is), but you can pass anyone you damn well please without hardly any effort. You really can't feel the shifting of the gears. If she likes a "plush" ride, she may not like Audi, as they are fairly universally sporty suspensioned. As in, they're basically "luxury racers". The stock sound system is seriously badass, but if you're so inclined they do offer Bang & Olufsen systems for a pretty penny more. As I have kids, I obviously need either the 4 or 6, but I really wish I could get a 5, because I prefer 2 door cars
Hope that helps

I never had a problem with my Chryslers that wasn't my fault. That being said most people hate chrysler because they put a lot of crap out the last 20 years.
I will never buy a GM again (which is hard because I really prefer the silverado over a ford pick up).
I haven't had much problems with the two fords I have owned. One I had for a year. Only had the other for a couple weeks.
As far as foreign cars, I haven't owned any.
