I 've been watching Higurashi.or whatever it's spelled....
It's a show for the masochistic viewer for sure....
You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!
@CthulhusSpy - that anime is awesome and prepare yourself to be mind blown once the big plot twist is revealed. After said plot twist blows your mind and you finish collecting the pieces, watch ep1 again. Then gather your mind pieces again because they've been blown once more.
And seriously, get ready to hate the main character. It managed to almost, ALMOST top Shinji in my "characters I hate" list.
@konst - it's yet another mind blowing anime. gak ain't gonna make any sense for a while, but keep at it and you'll be pleasently surprised. Also, it's the only anime so far in my life that made me turn my head to avoid watching a scene
In other news, Kekkai Senken keeps being so awesome <3 I want to see so much more of so many characters, like Chain, but Zapp's master is so freaking awesome and the whole concentration scene was pure genius

^That. THAT. THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT!
I'm really glad someone else said it though, I didn't wanna come across too negative, because the story overall really is pretty good. But MY GOD, I wanted to strangle the MC. Mostly. With my bare hands.

I read a good chunk of it before the anime came out and it was still in manga form.
I think i got to the bit with the fat lady day care service/orphage diary wielder. Not sure what was going on there.
The main character always sees himself as a person on the sidelines but he has done some things. I don't understand some people's hate for both characters other than they're the crawl up in a corner and cry all day types of people. I've been there. I hope to god people's hate of those characters doesn't extend to me . Then again i've been through a lot of gak. In this characters case the only big thing he's been through is these weird games. To be fair if you were in a death game to become god and your school was being bombed you'd probably panic too. It's not like a middle school or high school kid has the means to defend himself against such a villain.

Oh god that concentration part, when you see the infrared of Zapp and his crotch is bright red. I love this show.

I am enjoying it, but I am noticing some illogical aspects. Like, how the hell did a 5 year old get a gas mask, poison, and knowledge on how to make aerosolized chemical weapons? Did I miss something?
I still really love the intro. Lots of hidden symbols there.
I also realized that the characters are named after Roman gods. I don't quite know how, but there are 13 Roman gods in the intro, and 12 diary users + Akise, who is an interesting anomoly. Yuno is obviously named after Juno, the jealous wife of Jupiter. Which logically would make Yuki Jupiter.

Sorry, I'm too busy on the KumikoxKousaka hype train >_>
Sound! Euphonium has taken an interesting turn that seems to have set all of the waifu ships on r/anime to jump on the pairing of two of the characters from the show.
For those of you that stopped watching, or are thinking of watching, this episode contained things like this:
Spoiler:
And then the two characters played a song called "The place we found love"

I'm mainly just looking forward to "Is it wrong to pick up girls in a Dungeon" each week. I think it's probably my favorite show of this season so far, and that last fight was fantastic. I really like how the artists went out of their way to illustrate just how much dodging, weaving, climbing and jumping all over the place the MC is doing while he fights. Really makes you feel like he's actually making use of that whole AGI stat.
I also like that he's being forced to really work for the kill too. I see lots of shows that just sorta make a character way overpowered and just overwhelm their enemies. In this, even though other adventurers are more powerful or better than the MC is, you really get the feeling they're in awe of this battle he's having that's on the cutting edge of life or death for him, like they're seeing someone put more on the line in a battle than they ever had.
Plus, you know. Hestia is Bestia. To be frank though I think I'm team Lili at this point.

I was on the SS Wallenwhatsits until I got confirmation she was total airhead... With the exception of Syr, I'm having a hard time finding "fault" with the girls in the harem. Sure Aiz is an airhead, but she's good at her job. Lili was a little sneak thief, but she at least felt bad after her and Bell talked things through. Hestia is still bestia because she's in charge of the Familia, and honestly I think Ryuu (the elf from the Tavern) might be a dark horse as a member of this harem.
The shows I'm finding to be good this season are really fething good. There's DanMachi (picking up girls in dungeons), Food Wars, which gets better and better with each "fight". Kekkai Sensen is so good I may actually buy the videos when they're released (instead of just accessing them through a streaming site), and Punchline, panty shots aside, has been fantastic in terms of art and story.
My only wish is that someone would do a "battle" anime involving an ice hockey team. We've got baseball, basketball, football, soccer, tennis, and even swimming... No ice hockey :(

I joked the part where yuno tried to hit him with a hammer as he was running away as a 'tom and jerry' moment.

Heehee, you forgot the volley ball one! Which was actually pretty decent I thought. Now I can't remember the name of it though.
With regards to DanMachi there's something I am really curious about that I haven't actually seen addressed anywhere yet, but it might be spoilery.
Spoiler:
The Hestia knife on it's initial battle with the Silverback, 3rd episode I think, gets used to take it out and then right after that, Hestia collapses. Thing is, and I haven't seen this addressed yet, right after that Freya is seen saying "Well that wasn't very nice to do to Hestia." That seriously makes me wonder whether the knife itself is somehow tied to Hestia, either to power it or give it life or something, but in a way that makes its use a drain on her. I don't know that that is the case or even just me seeing things that aren't there, but it really stood out in my mind and made me wonder.

I have been enjoying the feth out of Kuroko's Basketball. I'm not a basketball fan, but for 90% of the "Super powers" they're all ground in real life skills/moves done by NBA athletes. The characters are cool, the villain is a donkey cave, and it doesn't drag on for episodes (series ends in like 5/6 episodes).
I checked out Diamond no Ace, and it didn't grab me like Kuroko's Basketball, but its still in my queue. Currently looking into Yowamushi Pedal. I'll add Haikyuu to the list of sports shows to check out.
Also Danmachi comments above:
Spoiler:
I believe in the novels they say Hestia collapsed from exhaustion. If it was connected to her like you're theorizing, episode 8 would have also probably had some I'll effects on her.

Haha, I like Akashi as a villain. And yeah, with how popular this show is I'm not really worried, there's probably going to be OVA's/movie or some kind of spinoff.

That'd just be a fan service anime and you know it. As if they'd need any more reason for boob gropes, jiggles and open boob reveals blocked out by camera angles.

Ummm. What? You mean an ice hockey anime would be fan service? Or that DanMachi is? If in regards to DanMachi, I don't see that fan service has anything to do with my comment about the knife. On a further note, I don't see an issue. So what of it?

Uh... mate, the absolutely awesome volleyball anime mentioned is about a MALE team.
"Haikyuu!!" is called and it's hilarious
