Really? I felt that the way Plastic Memories ended, especially after the past 4 episodes, was a joyous ending. Like yeah it's sad what happened to Isla, but we knew from episode 1 it was going to happen. I had the feels, but certainly not sad ones. I was grinning ear to ear for about 90% of that episode.

Really bummed that Kuroko's Basketball is getting bumped to Tuesday, and for some dumb reason Kekkai Sensen didn't air this week, but it's also not airing next week before of the Durarara!!x2 Ten premier (it's only getting bumped to the next day, it's not like we're waiting 3 weeks for the finale of the show).

The final episode of Sidonia's S2...

It was all kinds of amazing. The tension, the weird vagina flowers, the action, the awesome, the way how god damn Tanikaze leaves the battlefield carrying a giant awesome alien lady on his mech's arms, a naked alien chick on his actual arms and a member of the 3rd sex somewhere inside his mech's "pants".

Not only was the ending great with him visiting the place where it all started, we got a small glimpse of what a certain person wants and will be doing in the future.

And to top it all, it ended with the full version of S1's opening, one of the best god damn OPs's songs IMO; I love those lyrics, they would fit like a glove in a power metal cover.

Need a juicy S3 <3

I found it to be pretty stupid as well.

The whole 2015 Anime Season had kinda sucked.

There have only been a couple of halfway decent Anime, and they were really short (10 - 12 episodes).

Ghost-in-the-Shell: Arise, Alternative Architecture is probably the only really exciting anime so far this year (with an official US Release - Knights of Sidonia is also awesome, but it's "official" US release isn't until the 3rd).

The remake of Sailor Moon has been interesting, but only for Nostalgia's sake, really.

The ONE really good thing about this is that there have been rumors that the crappy 2015 season is because of resources going into bigger projects for the Winter and next Year (GITS:AAA may be getting a regular Anime series that will be a long-running anime - three to four seasons, several hundred episodes - rumor unconfirmed, but I have a friend who is a Translator for Manga/Anime companies in Japan who has said that one portion of his office has been walled off, with all of the Translators working it it saying they cannot talk about what is going on, but that one of them had a GITS:AAA script going into the walled off area... And others have reported this possibility as well, since GITS:AAA killed at the box office in Japan).

So... something is going on that should be good.

Also, Shikgeki no Kyoujin/Attack on Titan is getting a Live-Action series that is supposed to be running from the beginning to end of the Manga.

But.... right now... I am bored to death with the anime available.

Gits:aaa is the prequel movies made into a series, right? I didn't watch that beyond one because it was something I'd already seen. Otherwise the ones I've liked have been Sidonia, Dungeon, Fate and Arslan. I watched Stratos and Seraph but those were merely ok. Then also the ongoing animes One Piece, Naruto and World Trigger. Otherwise yeah, pretty slow season.

I've been impressed with many of the shows from the Spring season, most of them don't have major fight scenes, or lots of action but have good storylines. Oregairu season 2 has been great for a realistic high school show. Food Wars has been excellent if you're looking for a battle anime that isn't about punching. Punchline was a fantastic story with great characters and a good ending (but not best ending :( ).I watched a lot of anime from this season, missed out on many others, but only dropped 3 shows. Though I'm thinking of going back to Arslan when it finishes.

And now that Unlimited Blade Works is over, all that is left is to wait for Non Non Biyori and Fate/Kaleid...

In the meantime I've been re-watching seasons of both those anime, and now I'm done and I'm not sure what to watch next for the next week. Sigh....

Welp, we are now in July, not long until the new anime start rolling.

I just want to say Non Non Biyori is on July 7th and so is Overlord.

Would anyone recommend Crunchyroll for a streaming service? Trying to catch up on some anime that I missed in the last year or two(such as Kill la Kill).

Also open to suggestions. Interests are more towards horror(Elfen Lied, Hellgirl, Gantz), scifi(Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop), fighting(Tenjho Tenge(manga was better), Battle Vixens(again, manga was better)), and comedy(Azumanga Daio, Excel Saga).

Kabal of the Grieving Widow (less)

Crunchyroll is great, although you have to wait a week if you don't want to pay.

As for reccomdations, try Last Exile, it's sci-fi, but not super high tech sci-fi (more remnants of lost technology, with a lot of technology being around WWI level). Very good either way.

I use CR almost exclusively to watch most of my shows. The app is solid, the website is good (and you can avoid the ads if you have adblocker, at least you could when I was still a free member), and the selection of shows is really good, with a few exceptions.

Most of the shows I watched were on CR, except for Kekkai Sensen and Kuroko's Basketball (it's 2 weeks behind on CR for some reason). It's a pretty solid 7 bucks a month.

I paid for a subscription when I was a little less concerned about money than I am at the present. Seemed like it was worth it if I watched enough though I've fallen back to my standbys of netflix and amazon prime (not specifically for anime mind you).

Seemed like it had a good selection of shows. I'll probably resub at some point to check a few more of them out.

It's free service is fine as long as you don't desperately need to see the shows the day they come out.

Yeah, I like it. The ads can sometimes be in odd places, and often will play the same 10 second ad about 5 times in a row, which can be annoying, though. A couple other things to know is that it doesn't always have classic anime, and if you're not a Premium member, only the first episode of every series can be watched in High Quality.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Yeah, I ended up with a two week free trial of Premium.

So far the wife and I have watched Rin-ne(waiting on episode 13), and the first episode of Kokoro Connect. We both enjoyed Rin-ne, but she wasn't a fan of KC.

@Co'tor Shas- I remember reading about Last Exile years ago in Newtype. I may have to finally get around to watching it.

@Alfindrate- sports shows aren't my thing, but what's Kekkai Sensen about?

Kekkai Sensen is by Nightow (Trigun), it takes place is Jerusalem's Lot (Hellsalems lot in some of the subs) which used to be New York City. A rift opened up in the city over night and brought forth the weird and strange creatures that only existed in our wildest dreams (aliens, vampires, werewolves, etc...). It follows the story of Leonard Watch, a young photojournalist that moved to NYC 6 months before the show. He gets caught up in the actions of a secret society that helps keep the balance in the city.

It's got a good cast of characters, good animation, and an interesting plot. The show is pretty episodic so for 90% of an episode you don't need to really see any other episode, but its all held together by that last 10%.

The finale got bumped to like Sunday though so Idk how it ends. The manga is ten volumes long and they've only adapted like half the source material, so maybe a second season?

Edit: Just watched Gangsta Episode 1, I am stoked for more. The entire first episode covers the first chapter of the manga. I don't think they'll be able to keep up that kind of 1:1 pace, but it gives some hope that this might be longer than a 12 episode series.

It's great, one of my all-time favorite shows. It's a good show for getting people in to anime too. I'm not sure if CR has it, but hulu and netflix do.

AWESOME!

I was about to open up my various anime apps to see what was new, and Watchman Crowds is one I have been waiting for.

It is an amazing take on the 1970s Anime of the same name.

I wonder if we will see any of the older characters show up?

In dub news, Fate/Stay Night UBW is getting a dub release, which because of Aniplex will sell for lolzcash in two parts.

I'm not sure what's worse, the cost or my willingness to pay it only to see
Spoiler:
Ilya die again in English.

Although a Fate/Zero, F/SN, UBW marathon would be sweet. I still don't know why Heaven's Feel is just a movie, but whatever. Maybe we'll get a new Fate route, too.

Anyway, four days until Non Non Biyori Repeat. Is it weird to get hyped and excited about such a relaxing series?

No, it's not. I need my "Soul fix" back. That anime is perfection when it comes to relaxation and I REALLY want it to start.

Every damn episode were 22mns of pure innocent bliss. My mind would be wiped clean of everything bad. God-Emperor damn, I want more of that anime.

I totally agree, I watched it last month and every episode lulled me into wanting to just lay out and take a nap (in the good way). I'm down with people being excited for the second season, just some of the people that forget these are "children" they're talking about weirds me the feth out.

@Darklink, I thought it was pretty ok too. A bit fanservice-y, but not terrible and you get paid off in the end with a fairly epic mecha battle.

I've been seeing various Madoka Magica things showing up on Netflix, is there a specific order in which one should watch them?

Also saw knights of sidonia show up on netflix today.. may have to give it a shot as I watched the first season.

Wait a minute... was the first season of this show so guano-insane? Tiny man/cyborg decapitating people and Sidonian Brain Nematodes? Gah, and I thoguht the earwig from Wrath of Khan was creepy stuff...
