It was such a perfect amalgamation of the show itself. Plus incredibly meta, as befitting a series about theater.

So, saw episode 16 of NGE. You know, the one with the extradimensional angel that has a Sea of Dirac in it.

That's probably my favourite scene in all of NGE.

Asuka is pretty fun though...when she's not being an uber bitch. Poor Shinji, his first kiss nearly killed him.

Anyway, saw the first episode of Jojo part 4.
Its pretty good. I ended up liking the animation style more than I expected. Didn't like it in the teaser, but in the series itself its pretty neat.

No worries, just curious, I was never in an anime club in HS or college, so I wasn't sure about your club's process.

Also out of all of those shows, I'm sorry you aren't enjoying Seven Deadly Sins, and that's a lot of moe garbage (but then again I find most shows that are moe for moe's sake to be intolerable).

If I binged it, I would have like it. But its just too much Ecchi for my tases. The fights are cool.
And there is really only what? 2 Moe? Denkigai is ok, But is school live that moe?

Checking out the new series. Favorite one so far has to be "Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu". Love the humor and the action and the art style and Definitely want to see more of where this ones going.

Took a break from NGE to watch some of the newer shows

Boku no Hero Academia - Typical Shonen, might get interesting

Kagewani : Shou - Terrible animation. Its like paper.

Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu - Probably will be one of the top anime this season. I detect a tragedy in the making.
It has a faint aroma of Higurashi, with a touch of konosuba. Except with less lulz and more screams.

The first episode of Gakkou Gurashi/School Live was painful to sit through, but the ending of the episode made it completely worth it. The show has it's cutesy moments still, but the main focus is definitely on the darker side of what is going on.

Holy feth I've never seen a show make such a turn around in quality between seasons as Sailor Moon Crystal. Seasons 1 and 2 were hot animated garbage with terrible use of background animation, crappy character design and a gak-tastic release schedule.

Season 3 is so different than the first two seasons that it's like a completely different show. The animation is much better, they've reduced the trash CG they used (like the transformations are back to being in 2D), and it's airing weekly instead of the 2 week cycle they used.

I guess Toei was not happy with the reception of seasons 1 and 2 and replaced the animation staff.

Edit: Bakuon!! (Moe-mushi pedal) is strange. There's a talking motorcycle, who's kinda perverted, an airhead and a girl that won't shut the feth up about motorcycles. The Yowamushi Pedal reference in the beginning was nice though.

Seven Deadly sins is awesome. I've watched the whole series twice now. I love it because it's finally about character who ARE NOT underdogs.
Melonidas and company can beat the living gak out of most opponents.


So it's been a good while since I posted here. I haven't been doing that much Anime related. But here we go

So I got myself a copy of Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a very long time.
How does that relate to anime you ask? (aside from the fact that's a Naruto game)

1 Brother is watching the entire dubbed series (Skipping most fillers OC) and the other brother is readying the Manga. I was going to watch along with my one brother but... Animaniacs is on Netflix now... so there goes my social life

Here's a quick comparison between S1/2 and S3 for Mercury and Mars (note: It does look a little more modern/moe than the last two seasons)


Overall the animation quality is better, but I do like the shading on the top images in the comparison

Saw Hundred. Its basically RWBY, but not quite as good.
May continuing watching it, but at the moment verdict is meh.
Also, I'm pretty sure they copied some of D.Grey man - They flat out said Innocence Type in reference to their special monster killing weapon. Like, it wasn't a translation glitch, Emile literally said Innocence Type.
Now in D.Grey man calling their weapons Innocence made sense due to all the religious imagery in the series, but here? That's just silly.

Didn't bother watching Hundred myself. Harem stuff annoys me.

Hasn't gone harem territory yet. Atm there are just cute girls, a few of which have big tits. No interest towards the main character yet, though Emile is an obvious love interest.

Seisen Cerberus is surprisingly not terrible. It isn't amazing, but its better than what I was expecting.
Keep in mind that my attitude is usually "gak until proven otherwise" when it comes to new shows.

KissAnime has it listed as Romance and Harem with a description that sounded typical of the shows that just end up annoying me.

I'd agree with Cerberus' "not terrible" rating. Nothing particularly gripping in the first episode, but I'll still check out the second.

Ok, admittedly I've not watched Macross in awhile. Most just the earlier series and some of the movies. When did it turn into a magical girl anime?

I suppose the potential for that trope was always there. It makes mechas sort of useless, other than acting as element of destruction. The main characters are also younger from what I recall from previous Macross series.

Saw Bunjou Stray Dogs and Sousei no Onmyougi.

The former is pretty good.

The latter is ok. Cool powers and neat monster designs, but its pretty typical shounen.
Its more interesting than what MAL says in its synopsis; MAL makes it sound worse than it really is.
I really don't like the lead male character's design though; his teeth bother me. They are probably going to reveal though that he's part demon or something which would explain it (and it is a shonen; can't have a main character in this sort of thing be entirely human, right?), but its still irritating.

Oh, Joker game is neat. Its one of those animes though where a foreigner's English is worse than his Japanese
