To be fair, his spoiler was really pretty well telegraphed in the episode if you're at all familiar with anime cliches. I didn't even read his spoiler but just knowing someone'd posted one I knew what it was pretty quick.

Sorry XD I forget some people watch on places that aren't picking up episodes within 24 hours of their original airing.

EDIT: I'm gonna go back to crying now XD

It's a good thing I have no intentions of watching a certain other anime this season. I don't think my heartstrings can take the beating XD

So Konasuba happened.

Spoiler:
That escalated quickly. Looks like Kazuma (I'm Kazuma) gets the harem he needs, not the one he deserves. Actually no, it's definitely the one he deserves.

I read his spoiler, thinking I was caught up, realize I'm not and get to episode 40 on Crunchyroll with his spoiler in mind and when something didn't happen, that's when I realized I was an episode behind.

In other gundam news, I've started working on watching all of them again. I'm down to the crappier ones. SEED is not great so far.

Whether he deserves it or not, as much as he tries, he will never be able to escape them. Loved the episode of today. Especially post duel, when her father came in with a bottle of something, discovering his daughter well..

"Okay, execute them."

Didn't have enough Megumin though. Then again, last episode they did the "Explosions, explosions la-la-la" song again, complete with adorable skip.

Ah! I see what happened. I missed Alphindrate's comment, so thought that the mention of "Spoiler" was in relation to my RWBY comment.

On RWBY...

Remember, if Crow dies, we riot

I am the only one who thinks Crow has an awesome semblance? Its actually pretty broken, if you think of it.
He basically has a special rule that makes everyone around him roll 1s to hit, wound and save. Its great.
Spoiler:
I also like how he has no control of it, thus stopping him from being completely overpowered and making him into a bit of tragic character.

There's some speculation that his sister, Raven, has a semblance that grants good luck, based on her saving Yang at exactly the right time.

Didn't I hear somewhere that so far all of the characters voicing the narration have died? I've not paid that much attention to that detail.

Lalatina was great this episode. She's so filthy, I love it
That final stab at Kazuma was priceless. Maybe that's part of her plan, make everyone think that she's with child, thus forcing him to make it true.

If I remember right, in the original web series the series is based on,
Spoiler:
Darkness kept waiting for Kazuma (I'm Kazuma) to propose marriage, but he was too dense to realize she was holding out for him.

So yeah, just as planned (two-headed demon chicken is pleased.)

In similar news, Dragon Maid is a thing. The Japanese seem to really like Norse mythology.

I think Tanya is becoming my favorite anti-hero ever. I can't recall enjoying looking forward to each episode since One Punch Man.

I've laid off IBO since episode 38. I have found that I have to take that show in 4-6 episode batches.

So far my top 5 new shows of the winter season is;

1. Tanya the Evil
2. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
3. Masamune-kun's Revenge
4. Fuuka
5. ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. (I think this show is primed to shoot up my list, but right now it is pretty slow)

I know a lot of you like RWBY (as does my son, easily his favorite show), but I just can't seem to get into it. What am I missing?

How far have you watched? 'cause the first two (?) seasons were really spearheaded by Monty Oum- when he died, the animation took a serious drop in quality, but the storytelling got rather better (sorry Monty, but it's true). It's mostly just "Rule of Cool" though, for me- awesome fight scenes and transforming weapons.

I do wonder if they'll do an episode where Kazuma (Kazuma desu) and Dust switch parties for a day, which in the comic and light novel shows off just how competent Kazuma (Kazuma desu) really is when backed by an equally competent party, despite only using really low level magic and other skills.

Heh, you guys are convincing me to pick up Konosuba again. Had planned on dropping it this week; between the story not really going anywhere and the poorer animation, I was about to give up.

Been really enjoying Scum's Wish (Kuzu no Honkai), Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, and Gabriel Dropout though.

EDIT: And Demi-Chan! How could I forget that one. So awesome.

I've given it a wide berth myself for the longest of times because well, at first glance it looked like yet another anime set in a fantasy gaming world. Boring.

However, it's a nice parody / deconstruction of the genre that does it quite well without coming across as beating a dead horse.

Honestly though, I only started watching it because of Megumin's description being "someone who dumped all her stats into the ability to nuke things" and really got into things from there on in.

Speaking of booms, holy gak this week's episode of Youjo Senki was intense. First a brutal training regime for a battalion, then complete annihilation of an enemy arm's factory.

Been putting off checking out Youjo Senki because the discription seemed meh and the cover art is... just kind of off putting. It kept getting mentioned here so I finally got around to checking out the first episode and damn. Now I have to watch all of it.

Yep, definately my sadastic pleasure. I cannot recommend this show enough if you have not yet given it a chance.

Spoiler:
The whole loli-con thing and how she effected the little girl voice to lull the Dakian military into a false sense of security before blowing them to heck.....it is definately typical of her/his charcter......someone who uses the rules to their advantage and not interested in the spirit of the rule.

Also the whole exchange between her and the enemy commander about visas.......

This was GR's worth watching review....

Spoiler:
What's particulary funny about that is they wouldn't have visas at this time, so both her soldiers and the enemy would be like "what is she talking about? This kid is super nuts 0_o"

Edit : Turns out I'm super wrong. Visas were in fact around since the 19th century, and become necessary for travel after WWI

I'm kinda burned out on shows like that. I can take one depressing/dramatic show a season, and I think I'm still recovering from 91 Days (and I have Rakugo for drama.)

Fortunately there are a lot of comedies this season.

Youjo Senki isn't really depressing though. Its kind of more like...Overlord, I guess. But with 200% more Yangire. Its like as if Dio was the main character instead of Jotaro.

That actually sounds like an awesome spinoff...

Anyway, Hikari Takanashi is cute. 10/10 would allow her to nibble on me (in a totally platonic and not at depraved way or context)

I would agree. While the idea of a show about WWI with magic sounds depressing, the series really kind of spins of of Tasha's antics and attempts to power play life and how they regularly spin out of her control in dark and funny ways.

So season four of RWBY is done. Overall I'm disappointed with it I think. Dividing the team up into four and then telling separate stories for each left very little time to devote to any one of them so it feels like none of them advanced for far. Blake's story probably told the most/was the best I think.
