Am I the only one who is agravated that FW refuses to put out more support for (one of) the coolest Space Marine chapter(s)? The have rhino doors, land raider doors, decals, characters, ect for Minotaurs, Red Scorpions, Raptors, even Astral Claws. All the sharks get is Tyberos(not that he isn't awesome). The sharks need some love! I want to build an army of Carcharodons Astra but I would like to give the models the same love I give my Chaos Marines. And as I am a fairly bad painter hand painting symbols is not much of an option. Hell, I couldn't een find anything on the Bay of E. Thoughts?

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

Everyone wants to give their chapter lovely sculpted shoulder pads and rhino doors. Your not the first and you won't be the last.

I want them to put out more primarchs especially Sanguinius.

You should have a go at free handing it, its not as difficult as it seems and you have to think of it in basic shapes. It's just a backwards C with spikes either side in the middle, one where the tail splits and a little one for the lower jaw, or a line to hollow out the mouth. Try it on a piece of paper big, then try it on a shoulder pad, doesn't have to be perfect if its small scale cause no ones gonna look at it closely.

No. I would also vote no for the creation of any other space "insert animal name here" chapters.

They just seem so simplistic and uninspired.

There are Space Shark transfers included with the (old) Land Raider kit:

If you want something newer then a couple of decades old, you’ll just have to wait until FW gets around to it. Or one of the 3rd party guys.

I still want to see a model for Captain Silas Alberec. The man is supposed to be a bit of a monster in terms of size for a Space Marine after all.

But yes, Space Sharks need updates.

I don't mind the lack of doors and pads, Forge World tends to go rather over the top with them, but I do wish they'd rerelease the transfer sheet.

I am appalled that there aren't more options for Space Sharks. How else am I supposed to make my counts-as-Space-Wolves army? There should definitely be more Space Sharks models and accessories.

honestly I'd like to see a non codex chapter that values orginization and disipline. sort of a "non codex adherant mirror to the ultramarines"

The last thing Forgeworld needs to do is waste more time producing chapter-specific trinkets.

Not when they could be making another Legion-specific Contemptor, lol.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Improper, stupid-sounding faux-Latin for the Space Sharks.

They're a fleet chapter that had been out to the edges of the Imperium pretty much following the Heresy and the 2nd Founding and only got back a little before the Badab War. As such they actually wear a lot of MkIV/MkV armor instead of the newer stuff. It's also actually possible they're a Raven Guard successor (most noteably because of their pale skin, black eyes). They also butcher their enemies in a bloody fashion to drive fear into their foes.

Here's their Chapter Tactic:
[quote]Reavers of the Outer Darkness: All models with Chapter Tactics (Carcharodons) gain the Fear special rule. In addition, any model in a Tactical squad with the Reavers of the Outer Darkness Chapter Tactic special rule may exchange a boltgun they are already equipped with for a close combat weapon (eg, chainsword/combat blade) for free or be equipped with an additional close combat weapon for +1 point per model. Such changes must be represented on the model.

Blood Hunger: All units with Chapter Tactics (Carcharodons) gain the Rage special rule after they have either destroyed an enemy infantry unit (of any type) in an assault or forced one to Fall Back. Place a suitable marker on any unit that gains the Rage special rule due to Chapter Tactics (Carcharodons)to indicate this has occurred. When one of these marked units makes a Consolidation move, it must move towards the nearest enemy unit that it is capable of damaging in an assault.
A Space Marines force which uses this Chapter Tactic may only ally or be allied with other Imperial armies, and in all cases their relationship is that of Desperate Allies (see page 112 of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook).

You can also get the rules for Tyberos for free on the Forge World site in the download section (which is where they Chapter Tactic I just posted came from).

I don't get all the hate. First http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_white_shark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megalodon. Carcharodon is the real latin name for sharks. Call the Space Sharks if you want, I don't care. Second I am not asking for a whole new chapter to be made. I only wish they would give them the same love they give thier other chapters. I have seen a lot more Charcarodons fans than Astral Claws fans, but we can't get the same products? I mean, how fething hard is it to print off the damned transfer sheets? Yes, it would be nice for Captian Silas Alberec to get a model, but I don't see it ever happening. Truth be told I dobt anything will see any love outside of HH. I could happily go another year without yet another dreadnaught to see them give some attention to thier original chapters. As far as "just play Flesh Terrors", how would thaty do anything to help? I have rules for Carchardorons. I like thier rules. Why would I wwant to use rules for an army I don't like instead of the one I do? Most importantly, thanks for those who like the idea. I know there is a lot of fans out there and I wanted our voice to be heard. Don't listen to those Debbie Downers, keep on keeping on! I didn't put a No option on the poll because I don't care if people don't like them, I just wanted a place for us to talk to others who do.

It's like ad libs in space. We can even create our own Chapter right now!

Let's see, we need an animal, a color, and a common archetype. In order to save time (and money), let's do a random generator for the answers, ignoring anything that's already been used:

Animal: Gazelle (chapter tactic: reroll dangerous terrain for jump infantry, but -1 Ld on fear tests! Exciting!)

Color: Orange

Archetype: Gold Digger

Presenting the new Space Marine codex, The Bubalus! No, they're not just Space Gazelles! No, they're not just the Orange Marines! No, they're not just out to collect as much money as possible for the Emperor! They're The Bubalus!

Edit: Games Workshop has now begin producing this Chapter and is retroactively sueing me for copyright infringement

Perhaps with the new Vraks book coming out they will also revisit Badab and throw some support to those chapters invovled. And eyebrow raising rules? You never see space wolves?
