I mean in original trilogy movie universe, the only source that matters.

Forget Wedge, forget Boba, forget Maul, and forget all these supporting characters that are only interesting in the minds of the most rabid and nutso of fans.
This is a great opportunity for a movie with "HK-47" in it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HK-47 Favorite quotes:
- "Recitation: First, weapon selection is critical. If I see one more idiot attacking a Jedi with a blaster pistol, then I'll kill them myself." -"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds." - "When I kill, when I dispatch a target, it is not about wanton slaughter. About body count. It is about finesse, function. Doing more with less. It is 'art.'" - "Indeed, I am most eager to engage in some unadulterated violence. At your command, of course, master."

Screw IG88 .....HK47 is where it's at.
Why you gotta player-hate on IG88?

Cause IG-88 needed 5 bodies to almost do less than half of what HK-47 did with one.

You are a despicable human being. Maybe unleash the plague of frogs and British cuisine upon the world while you're at it?
I'd take a plague of frogs for any of those movies, doubly so for all of them and crossovers. The British Cuisine, that's just gravy... and sausage... and bacon... and chips. Mmm...

Not if everything that isn't in the 6 movies is scrapped, which is still up in the air if that's the case or not. Then we just know he was a clone who's dad was a mercenary / bounty hunter, and he somehow ends up with some madalore arms armor of rough equate to this dad's, and in the employ of Jabba the Hutt.
Back on topic: The dogfight battles are among my favorite parts of the original trilogy, and one thing i thought was sorely lacking in the new films (some truly awesome dogfighting.... the Jango vs. Kenobi one in Attack of the Clones was okay-ish, but i thought the major battle in the beginning of RotS felt a little souless).
So i'm all for a movie focusing on a squadron of elite pilots with hopefully some epic star battles. It's worth my twelve bucks to go see.

The point I was commenting on was the idea that Boba is 'cool' because he's all mysterious. That hasn't been the case since the EU fleshed out his story so much... and the fact that the EU is now null and void doesn't change that. People who like Boba Fett like what they currently know about him.

Right, and i'm agreeing with the guy you were counter pointing, as since Disney picked up the SW franchise, all that beloved EU stuff is potentially just a bunch of neat fan fic at this point. So we're back at the point where we're not sure how much we know about Fett other than what's in the 6 movies, counter pointing your point of "we know everything about him." That's not necessarily the case anymore. We've read a bunch of stories that aren't necessarily officially sanctioned anymore.
I like the fact that in one of the stories fett hotwires his jetpack and gets out of the Saarlac. If disney says "nope, dude's dead.".... guess what ? I can like that story all i want. But i know I won't be seeing Fett in 7, 8 or 9. Matters very little how much i like the hotwire story, i won't like it enough that it will make me see Fett in the next three movies if the producers / writers / directors / continuity expers decide that Fett is dead, and not coming back.
Now i doubt that will happen, but it's a possibility. Where before, anyone who had read anything in EU knew Fett got out of the saarlac.
Which is to say, it will be very interesting to see what Disney does with that character.

That would almost certainly be a better movie than one about Boba Fett could ever be. Although, I have to admit I'll be disappointed when it turns out it was hatched on Tattooine. True fact: 80% of Star Wars lifeforms are from or are going to Tattooine. Remember the space slug? He was Trash Compactor Monster's roommate at Anchorhead State, where they constantly played pranks on their hated rivals, those jerk mynocks from U of Mos Eisley.
But back to Boba Fett. Can we please let him stay dead this time? Just about every interesting story that could be told about him already was, along with several hundred more. He's pretty much a symbol at this point for everything wrong with Star Wars fandom.
