Question for people from campaign one. How bad was shipping for the small pledges? (Say $50-100 levels)

It was flat rate last time, other than the one pledge that included shipping. So $20 to EU or $23 to the USA.

Ugh. That may kill even my limited pledge. $23 shipping for $50 in minis?

It might be different this time, but given that it's going to be charged after the campaign and as and when things are ready to ship (12+ months away) it's probably safer to over estimate what shipping is going to cost.

I appreciate it. This probably just killed my interest in the project though.

I must say I'm quite surprised by some of the concept arts - especially the centaurs. Now that's something true haemonculii would make instead of those "ogryn-like" flesh-things.

Still funny to see people complain here while plenty of people already pounced on the big early-birds. Looks like the quality of Raging Heroes' work is still selling anyway.

At least, they clearly said what this kickstarter is at the beginning.

See you next year!

Applying my usual "Add 1 year onto the deadline, do I still want this?" metric, I might go for some of the Sisters heroines as painting projects or Pathfinder miniatures--I'm getting a cool Trinity Blood vibe from the Archpapess.

Also, this song came irresistably to mind when I saw the front page.

Shipping Information – Important

From our experience with our previous Kickstarter, we have created a new shipping system:

The shipping fees will be collected AFTER the Kickstarter, during the Pledge Manager. The Pledge Manager is the tool that we use so that you can tell us which minis you want.

As new Rewards become available to ship, you will get to choose if you want them right away or wait for more to be produced before getting a shipment. This way, you decide exactly how many shipments you get, how often, and how much you spend on shipping.

Therefore, the shipping fees will be collected after the Kickstarter, each time you ask us to send you a parcel.

As a rough estimate, to-date, shipping the content of a Captain Box costs about $12 to ship to France, $22 to ship to the European Union, $28 to ship for the rest of the world.

While there is a very strong chance that you will receive all of your Rewards way before they become available at retail, there is always a possibility that some TGG2 minis go on sale before then, especially if you choose to save on Shipping costs and wait for ALL the TGG2 minis to be produced before receiving your Rewards Selection. We believe that the very special deal, the Freebies, and the exclusive content we provide with the TGG2 KS largely compensates for this slight possibility. However, if you are not comfortable with this, please do not back this KS and wait for the TGG2 to be available at retail.

no mention of Dropships (I don't think it was a success last time, too few stores signed up, and I think some of those that did dropped out or had ceased to exist by the time they were needed)

Mine worked out great. It's just we're looking at another 2 years to get those minis and I don't plan to live in my small study apartment for so long.

Yeah, $28 ROW is a bit rich for me. I think I'm gonna end up dropping my EB in the last week unless the freebies are amazing.

Regarding the All Stars boxes, this just popped up in the KS comments:
Asharah Raging said on facebook regarding the all star box that is "a special box, with not only very special troopers that are very similar to a band of heroines, but also which starts with 3 minis and will upgrade with more minis during the campaign, depending on how it goes, we'll give more details in an update"

Well. gak. They got me for another $10. I'd rather have three cool heroines to roll with my Chalice Knights then one heroine. However I'm going to be watching close to be ready to pull the pledge, because we've got stretch goals for 450k and no sign of the Knights or Daughters of the Crucible's unlock levels, no matter how cool those upgraded boxes might become. So if it's looking like those aren't unlocked I'll bail and wait for retail.

Yeah, they're really fantastically macabre.

Some of the stuff from the Lust Elves I want for display just for the conversation starter.

So I have a question, what could I possibly use these models for if I avoid 40K and anything from GW like the plague?

I really like the first freebie sister (almost thinking of using her as a proxy for the moiras in Infinity).

Also really like the Sisters of the crucible all-star pack but I just do not get what I would use them for besides looking pretty and as it stands I am really not that good of a painter.

Also will it be possible to buy the freebie model if I am pledging at a level below what the freebies will be at?

Fear & Faith/ some sort of horror RPG possibly?

Any kind of generic skirmish ruleset?

RPG characters?

I see them as something to break up all the constant greens and browns I seem to paint with.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Menoth, but Raging Heroes models tend to actually have detail on them to a degree that the flat Warmachine surfaces and giant Shoulderpad Elementals would stand out, I think.

Lots of stuff in the concepts that I really like, I am sorely tempted. The voice of BUY-BUY-BUY-IT-ALL is shouting in my ears.

But the tiny voice of reason is worried that 6 times the armies as last time = 6 times the delays. Or heck even twice the delays.

Is there any way to know what models will definitely be produced for wave 1? The voice of compromise thinks limiting myself to those would be a good middle ground. I get cool minis, maybe not everything I wanted, but at least I get them within my current decade of life.

My wee little brain is too tired to handle that long, long, long list of graphics.

Some things look great. I got a Kingdom Death vibe too from some of the Lust Elves. Except the worm riders are topless for the sake of being topless, to omo imas.

DotC and KotC, anything else is much less tempting. Strangely serene about this one.

Honestly, the fantasy stuff is the same as the sci-fi stuff. There's almost no change. So really it's only three armies. (Same as last time!) So no worries on that front! If you actually WANTED six armies, you're probably disappointed.

KotC for Celestians. That's about it. Dreamforge/Statuesque have me covered for the S0B army, really. In HIPS. For about 2$ a girl, too.

How long between the end of the campaign and the pledge manager coming out was there last time?

Hoping that we have some clear ideas what's going on with WHFB before I have to finalise my order.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Any chance on finding out why we are unlocking certain minis twice when they are the same across both Fantasy and Sci Fi? They stated most of the "Lust Elves" are usable in both settings but we have to unlock each model in each setting. I am eagerly awaiting the Knights and Daughters to be unlocked too and seeing the same model unlocks twice is making me go

TGG1 funded July 7 2013
My pledge manager order says it was placed June 2nd 2014
so 11 months between end and pledge manager.
