I'm currently only in for the $15 dollar pledge level, and the description doesn't mention anything about getting the free upgrades, but the descriptions of the upgrade stretch goals doesn't say anything about them being only limited to the 'LIEUTENANT BOX' pledges and above either.

So basically I'm wondering if the free upgrade unlocks apply to everyone who buys that respective item, or just the higher value pledgers?

"Freebies" are free for lieutenant levels and higher, and available as add-ons/options to purchase as part of any pledge, by my understanding.

And yeah, I'm hoping this is one of those concepts that get revisited later on. Really uninspiring pose on this last freebie unlock.

I'm not talking about the freebies, i meant the 'free upgrades' - they are listed as separate things in the pledge description:

there is a current stretch goal @ $615k that gives an extra model to the 'Daughters of the Crucible' command squad - if someone buys a squad of these at the lower pledge level (eg $15 like me), will they get the extra model? or is it only the 'LIEUTENANT BOX' pledges and above that get it?

I am still waiting for a response on that. As it stands now the Daughters of the Crucible Command are a 4 girl box, I am trying to get confirmation on what's up with the 615k bonus, but *shrug*

All of the upgrades apply specifically to the ITEM. They are not separate in and of themselves like the freebies. So if you buy a heroine and there was a "bonus" unlock for her for an alternate head and weapon, that alt gear is just a part of her kit now. If I buy the same heroine in a blister at retail she'll still have that alt gear. So for the Daughters of the Crucible, if you presently buy the command squad, it contains four Daughters (inc. commander), if we're lucky it might be a five girl box. When it hits retail it'll still be a four or five girl box.

Thanks for that. I assumed that's what it was, but couldn't see it stated officially anywhere.

So, we're in the last couple of days of the lull and there's still 63 items to unlock (64 if you include the $600k unlock), 11 of which are still just black silhouettes rather than full art work.

The campaign made $17k yesterday, so if we assume it makes the same again today and tomorrow, that'll get us to ~$630k, leaving it needing $600k in the final two days. Now, I know the last two days can get crazy, but I don't think it'll get that crazy due to the sheer number of things that still need unlocking.

Personally, just over 40% of what I've got in my list is unlocked and there's only one other thing in the list of unlocks shown so far that's on there.

I'm sure more of it will be unlocked, but I'm not sure that without intervention from RH we'll see everything unlocked. Though what would be nice, would be a longer list of unlock targets so that people can see what they're after is at least on the road map.

The upgrades (where different weapons heads etc are added to figures) are available to everybody in the KS, they just bolt extra bits onto the sprues

The 15 freebie figures are just for the lieutenant pledge and over

Ya. Not sure why they've separated so many characters into 2 stretch goals, one for scifi and one for fantasy. Most of the concept art to me looks like it would be easy to just make a generic body for the characters and add swords and such for a fantasy option and guns for the scifi. Indeed, most of the concept art shows pretty much the exact same character having to be unlocked twice. This wouldnt work for troops since it appears to me RH intends to add quite a few specialized bits for, say, crossbow troops vs. spear troops.

this to me is the most artificial part of the campaign. Seriously, does any really see anything all that different befween the majority of heroes? If theyd done it this way pretty much all the base characters would have been unlocked by now and then wecould have worked on bits/customization stretch goals after that added, for example, more fantasy pouches and books and weapons, along with more scifi guns and bits of high tech equipment.

Last freebie looks odd, maybe the artwork was rushed or something, the pose is just bizarre. First freebie I'm not keen on at all.

they spend enough time and effort fiddling with things that I think separate unlocks are justified (if annoying)

and they clearly have a plan to unlock what they want to when they want to rather than actually using (visible) targets so I don't think that woulc change anyway

Yep. If they do it like last time, it'll be set up in an online shopping cart format, with your data already in it, so you can select your reward or add more if you wish.

Reading all the blurb on KS, I think it will be a case of the pledge manager stays open whilst tthey at least reach render stage with each concept...meaning you can buy more over a longer period of time than a normal pledge manager.....but I could be wrong!

Last time the pledge manager was open it lasted about a year I think

It wasn't open for that long last time. They wanted to get people locked in early. Though it was reopened for everyone at the end of the year, and it was always possible to contact them if you wanted to make a change.

This time it sounds like it's going to be more open, in the same style of the Mierce pledge manager. Though they've not said when things will be removed from availability, so it may be possible to order a box of some troops, pay the shipping, and then decide to add more on in a later shipping wave.

Indeed, lock in early, with a lot of stuff still unaccounted for miniature wise.

I think I will be very interested in the post-mortem on this one.

I'm interested in this KS, but not interested in following any of the details via their page or updates since they seem to be an absolute clusterfeth of scratchy concept art, and a ridiculously confusing number of stretch goals that appear to make no sense.

I don't usually pay attention to this stuff, either. I just go along and save my analysis for the last day. It comes down to, "Is this worth my money or not?" If so, I adjust my pledge as desired. If not, I cancel my pledge. Anything happening before then is noise I tend to tune out.

I like the poses. It's much less static than the goofy static Terminators we've seen from GW.
