8 Stretch goals already unlocked

Thiago Aranha - CMON 2 minutes ago

Guys, I can only guarantee to you that we won't skip out on all the Stretch Goals we had planned just because of this AMAZING progress. Just so you know, we've already unlocked 8 Stretch Goals!

CMON still seem to be struggling to get the update out, but did say that 8 SG are broken already...

I think KS has spun some more machines up, assuming they're using a cloud platform for hosting. Things look to be moving along at a more normal pace now, rather than crawling along.

Apparently, going on comments, we've already passed 8 stretch goals.

So now my new $150 pledge is being processed

There will probably be another 8 stretch goals unlocked before the servers catch up with the back log

Interesting that there were no EBs at the $90 level. But $100 still gets the SGs.

If my new $1 pledge ever goes through I'm going to encourage everyone in the comments who got endless processing and DOESN'T have an early bird to also reduce their own pledge to $1 for the time being. Kickstarter makes hundreds of thousands of dollars off of these large campaigns and the fact that they won't provide the infrastructure to run them correctly is disgraceful. I'm not suggesting anyone actually drop their pledge or anything but CMoN has to know that this is negatively influencing their biggest fans.

To be honest without the EB I'm likely to drop down to the $100 pledge once everything settles and then I can buy the expansion at retail discount since the $50 only gets you the one exclusive (which I can buy for $10 in the pledge manager) and the expansion. If the expansion is $40 I can get it for $32 easy.

Still looking forward to those stretches though...

They've posted some of the images over on facebook.

It's the usual mix of extra zombies, dice, a campaign and some heroes:

I would think/hope that as long as you finished the pledge and you got the thanks for pledging page, then you should have your EB spot saved, and the processing is more of a billing kinda back end thing.

Didn't work for me. I had mine entered in the first 30 seconds, got my congrats page, and still didn't get in the first 900.

EDIT over $330k now!

I wonder if this may have worked out to their advantage, as more folks kept piling in for EBs that were already filled up

That is really incredible, and I am very glad to see this game (which by all accounts the prior versions are well produced, fun, and delivered pretty much on time!) rewarded. I've certainly loved it the several times we've gotten a big game going at the store!

And what is clearly something that is KS 'fault'.

CMON is really good at CS though, so I wonder what type of 'solution' they come up with.

A credit on the PM?

$5 or so?

Would people still rage over $5?

Probably, right?

It isn't about the money. It is about the prestige of getting the Early Bird pledge level that you took time out of your day F5ing to get. It is one thing to refresh and see that all the EBs were gone, it is another to get an EB, process payment, then get a 'sorry bro' email from Kickstarter an hour later and have to go through the rigmarole of pledging again.

It sucks, but it is only $10. CMoN could be super classy about it and knock $10 off of the shipping for everybody who backed in the first X hours or something. But that isn't terribly necessary. It is a KS problem. CMoN probably DOES have enough pull with KS to get the company to redress the issue with backers though.

I would actually really like to see CMoN put a little pressure on KS to make good. KS makes good bank off of CMoN projects and I expect that the company would be willing to be a little flexible/accommodating to CMoN.

This game has also gone opposite to the trend of many big box games / campaigns on Kickstarter. Many of those have seen a trend where they continue to increase in total raised each time but actually decrease in backer totals (as those who bought in earlier buy in even more heavily, but less new people join). But with this game, their backer totals keep skyrocketing - 5K, 9K, 12K... and who knows with this one!

Haha, I think we're a little under their radar but certainly open to making something compatible one day if the game mechanics make sense for the ModCube!

Edit: Whoa, have plastic dashboards been a part of Z-cide before? I didn't track the third season, but in the first two seasons I've played they were just card dashboards.

More unlocks. Still no pictures on KS though

$390,000 - 3 More Wolfz

All backers will get 3 more Wolfz miniatures to track down their helpless Survivors.

$420,000 - Hitch - Exclusive Survivor

This fighting bard with mystic powers will surely be very welcome in your group of Survivors.

$450,000 - 1 More Necromancer

All backers will get an extra Necromancer figure to spread even more dread around town.

$480,000 - Antha the Witch - Marc Simonetti Special Guest Survivor

An exotic witch from distant lands, created by Marc Simonetti, is ready to join your group.

This is going to be one heavy box by the end of the campaign!

Why under the radar?

I think ModCubes could be great for Wrath of Kings and Dark Age, on top of some other games.

You should send some to CMoN Expo for their teams to see.

These are great. There is so much potential for a plethora of parody survivors (and N.P.C.s). Loving what has been shown so far, cant wait to see a few more of the Holy Grail characters. Love David Bowie as the Goblin King, the Sean Connery look-alike, headless Ned Stark, Jamie Lannister, etc.

Yep. I pledged within the first few seconds, with funding at $0.00. My backer number is 624. I did enter my cc manually.

The number of EB's available did not include those in the processing queue, so if there were a few hundred left, you were too late.

I'm guessing this is Stripe's first major KS, and Stripe couldn't handle the overload.

Unless you *really* want the Gowan figure, the $100 level is a better deal. I picked up Toxic City Mall a few months ago for $30 vs. $50 in the KS.

Well they did get the 'we've started a new KS' email out before the KS launched this time out

I suspect this may have been in part why the start was such a disaster(or success from CMONs point of view)
