The funny thing about Josh is that he's on the Shadows of Brimstone Kickstarter (still waiting for the day that Forar loses his patience on that one, because it's due) and he's on there saying that "The Hills", which I assume are the FFP owners, were "slimy" at Gen Con last year and clearly shouldn't be trusted.
And this is a guy who spends his time brown-tonguing Simbieda.

I am overdue... for Wave2!
PB has no info... way to go!
Any detail on the money?... It all went to retail stock honey!
Got new toys for sale... makes backers go pale!
Conspiracy theories abound!... no facts to be found!
White knights rise to the fore!... others quick to hit "ignore".

I won't rule anything out, but aside from a bit of frustration with their inconsistent updates, I don't think I could be happier with the product we've received thus far, and look forward to the next expansions to come out.
Knowing that I'm going to Gencon this year (just reserved a car for the trek yesterday) probably abates some potential anger. Fingers crossed that some pre-paid stuff can be picked up while I'm there (like they allowed last year), that I can snag some expansions I missed out on due to being in for an Outlaw rather than a Mine Cart tier backer, and celebrate the fact that they've made one of my all time favourite games.
When someone says that delivering good things takes time, it helps when they actually deliver good things.
But yeah, Josh's ire at FFP while giving PB tongue baths is particularly hilarious.

Maybe you can pick mine up. Perhaps I can send you a fake ID or something.
Well, if they do another lottery, toss your name in the ring and ask if it'd be okay for someone else to pick it up for you.
They did want your name, address and whatnot as found on your drivers license, but maybe a photocopy from you and a heads up that it'd be another person (with my full info as well) would suffice?
Obviously they'd need to protect themselves to make sure a 'he said/she said/send me more stuff' situation didn't occur, but I can see how it might be workable.
Though honestly, if they allow for 'wave 1.x shipping' like the 4 card packs that were just released, it might be cheaper to snag them from FFP directly rather than paying extra shipping from Canada, especially if the Caverns of Cynder box is available. That thing looks hefty.
Edit; sorry for getting off topic, though I feel it's at least tangentially related; produce a high quality product and people are generally more forgiving.

Yes. I'm absolutely going to take an hour or two out of my first Gencon to go run over to the post office. :-P
Edit: of course, all kidding aside, it's moot until we find out if FFP is even doing another pickup this year (who knows how much of a pain it was last year), and if they'd allow a non-in person pickup.

Ask Kevin some hard hitting questions in a polite but firm manner (unlike Gamers on Games and Gamer Goggles fawning soft balls) at the gen con booth on camera and youtube the results, please. The sunshine and rainbow butt iron on patch jeans and "I paid for Robotech Wave 2 in 2013 and all I have is this lousy T-Shirt that Palladium didn't even send me" are both optional and at your discretion.
Is it my imagination or is the Megaversal Ambassador running this demo making a bunch of mistakes?

I have a distinct suspicion that even if they allowed themselves to be on camera, that any discussion would come to a halt the moment I tried for 'hard hitting' questions, no matter how politely they might be worded. Sure if a buddy just happens to be filming off to the side I might get around the former, but the latter seems unlikely to go anywhere.

Oh I'm still onboard with the custom shirt idea. Not sure I can justify throwing $30 at a trolling effort, though doing up a shirt with mockery on it made out of hundreds of little pieces of tape holds some ironic appeal. Basically it'll come down to a factor of finding the time, the will, and/or the cash/materials/images.

In any case, I was joking about the t-shirt and jeans (shorts) but you could always just permanent marker the RRPGT logo onto the a simple white undershirt and then cut it /tape it back 20 times in different spots to make it mouthwatering. That should cost you less than $5 CAD. In any case, I wouldn't wear any of it while asking the pertinent questions. The answers on video though (especially if we're still in a black hole of info regarding wave 2 by gencon) would be much appreciated.

Well, I appreciated them. Anything that helps lift the mood from the Wave 2 Crisis is good for morale.
I really hope they announce a switch for missiles to 20mm scale or something.
Talizvar, I think you should continue but only if you think you still have it in you. As long as you think the best is yet to come, you shouldn't consider yourself done. What this thread needs best is for you to keep posting in jest.

That video was painful to watch.
Pretty sure close formation gives a +1 only, nothing cumulative or by number in formation unless I heard the guy wrong.
They needed a Glaug, it is not remotely fair till one is fielded.

It does interact with gunnery to see if you get the bonus. What I was referring to was the instructor forgetting that you have to actually meet or exceed the defense of the target model (he skipped that on a missed shot and went right to dodge for the pod attacks), rolled one die for the attacks of everyone in the formation (I can't see anything in the rules for that), didn't allow the veritech to dodge because he already dodged a previous attack (don't recall seeing any restriction on that), and gave the battloid veritechs the close formation and accurate bonuses when I don't see anything in the rules about them getting either in that case. Those are just the ones I noticed in the first 3 attacks made which is where I stopped watching since I didn't frankly expect to learn anything (correct) from there.
Assuming I'm not the one making the mistakes and missing stuff (feel free to correct me if I am), that is one hell of a horribad demo. Is that Jeff the robotech minis guru one that was let go around the Crisis of Treachery Part Deux?

Okay. I've been building some stuff over the weekend and I have 1 pressing question regarding assembly.
How the bloody hell does that tiny antenna array thingy slot into the front of damn Recon Pod? I spent 20 minutes fiddling with it last night and now plan on green stuffing the slot closed instead. What am I missing? Does it actually fit somehow?

Hey you got far enough to worry about it fitting. The first (and only) time I tried it, the part flipped away and disappeared.

It's not you. The only other guy who got Robotech at my FLGS struggled with it for a while and then just used glued it anyways after filing.

Cut off the bit immediately after the rear antenna and then a little bit from the inside corner.

That's NMI? I guess that explains his complete lack of understanding of the game rules given his inability to understand the forum rules he enforces. LOL, he's the head of the demo team organization for Palladium who is running a demo of the most successful single project Palladium has ever had in that video.

Uh, if I was the official demo guy, slapping something on those miniatures would be more of a priority than slapping down people in the forums.
The tab at the back of the stand works well for numbers rather on the flat of the base... sheesh, looks awful.
The excitement was a bit underwhelming from the dude.
Please don't tell me all those books in the shelves are all PB publications. WOW.
Yep, tried to watch video again, nope, painful.
"IF I had command points I could do these cool things, but I have none in this demo...".
Yeah, I am getting overly critical of the video.
You know how they warn at the beginning about that.
I am "that guy" now, look out, I got auto banned so I am a bad dude.

Let 'em know that you want wave 2 too much
And this is what Kevin says you can't touch
Yo I told you you can't be gettin’ this
Why you buying mo stuff man you can't touch?
Yo sound the alarms fo’ another sucker you can't touch this
Give me an update and mo’ facts

Now they know when you talk about dice bag
