Is some basic level of internet free in the UK? Is that why it's so bad? Despite inventing it, the internet in the US is specifically derided across the world as being overpriced and underpowered compared with the EU and Asia.

@warboss: yeah, thanks man. Getting some games is difficult for most of us. At least for the ones like me who have offspring xD
We gather once a month in a soccers team press room. And we try to get as many geeks as we could, playing Warmachine&Hordes, FoW, formerly 40K and WHFB and now RRT and xwing
It's still difficult to gather all. Real Life TM is a bitch.
Regarding the video... yeah, one of my RRT fellas noticed that video too. I watched it yesterday. They play with some things that I think they are doing wrong... I also think they are drug lords sons xD Way too many games, cool tables and space for gaming to be a regular person, hahahahaha
@EasyE: Thanks, but I thought it looks like the Patagonia... Just kidding! xD
I'll try to update my blog with a post about how I made these woods. It was quite an epic journey!
@Talizvar: Thanks man! I agree that painted minis is the way to go. We have not make any open demos because of this. And we don't even have a FLGS here. Or in my city. Or in the others geeks city (the three cities are 100Km away from each other xD). We plan to demo RRT in a console-gaming-comicbook-boardgame store when I have some regults painted xD The UEDF side has already some great looking minis and now we have already decent looking tables.
@Conrad Turner: Sorry dude! Didn't think about that. But... I think with spoilers the images download all at the same time too, isn't it? I thought just in South America were the internet connections so gakky! xD

If Robotech was such a hot licensing commodity, it wouldn't keep changing hands every time the comics rights come up for renewal/payment. I've lost track of the number of companies that have announced they've acquired the Robotech comics rights since 2000. Companies seem to get the rights, make a few comics, not make enough money to justify more effort, and then wash their hands of it completely when their time is up... and we're talking about small fry comic companies as well with lower expectations, not the big boys like Marvel/DC or even the second size tier publishers like Dark Horse/IDW/Image.

Hard to convey the space opera with actual singing that is Robotech on the printed page.
Plus I think we have an inability to derive new machines (license issue with macross?) so that can limit things a little.
The good-old love triangle has been beaten to death so it will be hard to capture that new audience.
It better be a "graphic novel", I barely got away with "Preacher": If I bought comics now I would be SO made fun of by friends and wife.
Like the difference between dollies and "action figures".
I want "Harebrained Schemes" to take-on Robotech as a licensed computer / console RPG (ish) game like Shadowrun (they are working on Battletech right now).
THAT licensing would have me almost as excited as when I first heard of RRT.

Not that I'm aware. It's just that I am in rented accommodation to be near work. It's a small village and we don't even have our own hub, we share with the nearest village, so as the lines to us are longer, we get the slower speeds. With a whole village running like this, it can be terrible. I was downloading the new DLC for Fallout 4 the other week. I started it as soon as I got in from work. 17:55 and I had ten minutes left. 18:01 and it was over 3 days. I am sure that was down to the number of connections in the village that come alive at that time with all the schoolkids going online at that time to do their homework, or parents firing up the smart TV, or whatever. The connection does not reliably speed up again until around 23:00.
I get most of my internet time at work [don't tell the boss!] but all video and social networking sites are blocked [links to Facebook, etc.]. Some pictures don't show up at work, but can be clear as day at home. Others I don't have a problem with at all.

While they probably would do a good job of it, Harebrained seems focused on old FASA properties which isn't surprising given that they were founded by one of the old owners of FASA. He's basically revisting the stuff he gave up creatively a few decades ago but now in a different medium. I suspect they'll have their hands full with shadowrun and BT for years to come.
At best, we can hope for a Robotech movie tie in game from Sony (exclusive to PS4) if the movie ever comes out... or some mobile shovelware titles in the meantime as well as free streaming on Crackle.

Spoiler tags don't help with bandwidth issues, at least with forums I'm familiar with. Even if the browser doesn't display them, they're still being loaded to be available on demand.
Linking them generally avoids that, but it's not ideal either, for obvious reasons.

Not that soon. It's a minimum 2 year process, the EU can veto the entire thing, and chances are we are going to get the [Bleep] end of the stick in any case. The leave campaign promised us the £350M per week would be spent on the NHS, they can't promise that because it's not that amount of money, and they can't promise what will happen to it either. They also promised that we'd get more control over our borders. They lied on that one too. I was in the middle of getting some sweet technology from America. My bank 'decided' to do me a favour and class it as a suspicious transaction and didn't pay. We then had the referendum and the £ went into freefall. I still have a chance to get what I want for the same $ price, but I'll pay more £ for it, and I'll pay more £ duty on it when it's delivered.
Not going to be buying anything else from America for the foreseeable, I'm afraid.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info, Forar. I'm sure there are reasons other than bandwidth that it's preferable to have large strings of pictures in spoiler tags. Me not wanting to get caught browsing forums whilst I am supposed to be working being the least of them.

Minor nitpick and threadjack: as soon as Article 50 is invoked, it's a maximum 2 year process, not minimum.
Which of course, explains why they're not exactly eager to invoke it.

OK, I'm confused.
If the British Government hasn't invoked A50, then we have not started the process and we're still in the EU?
Why did the £ freefall, and the PM resign if we haven't left the EU
But why would the government leave that quick on a 52/48 vote?
My head hurts!

- Process is not started yet, and you're still in the EU.
- £, euro and markets on freefall due to the uncertainty of the situation.
- Because they said they would honor the result, if I understand it correctly. Which means they have to invoke Article 50.
And I feel you on that point >_>

Thanks for the clarification, Albertorious.
I just have to hope that the 4 million of us who have signed a petition for the government to ignore a referendum result where the winning side didn't have at least 60% of the votes will get enough attention to work.
And since when have the British government honoured anything they felt was inconvenient?
We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread. [hopefully]

It cannot possibly be closed due to any of PB's actions. They'd have to actually do something first.
So far as RRT is concerned, it's been Groundhog Day for longer than I care to remember.

I don't personally as I'm not a fan of facebook in general. In any case, if there are objections raised there beyond just a token few, there have been MULTIPLE waves of mass post deletions and bannings on their facebook page over the past three years since this project was funded. A number of people who would complain can't because they've been banned from posting there due to previous complaints about how this failed project was/is run.

After PB deleted a bunch of comments from a few people here, it has been rather pointless to say anything on Facebook.
They have banned many people as well so some cannot even comment if they wanted to.

I don't understand this trend.. When companies act like are doing nothing wrong and if anyone questions us, they will try to
delete the evidence or call the people haters.. Keep seeing this with the new Ghost buster movie...
Back to topic... Even if they started working on this full steam and got everything missing out before Christmas.. do you think
it would save the game.?? I rarely see it stocked at local shops (or gone from major discounting) I see more support to
Age of Sigmar than Robotech..and that is not saying much
