I've been so busy, I haven't been following Winter's updates.

That is so cool! Maybe after the contest you could PM me how you did that?

Dayum. You know I hated that figure, but between Winter and Januine's paint jobs, I've seen the light.

Good job on showing up GW, guys.

I think I am going to prime mine finally tonight as I can't sleep but, it's too humid and hot outside but, perhaps I could do that inside with the vent system we have.

I think I finally settled on a scheme. Just flipping the top to the be the bottom half. The top being white plated with gunmetal on all the arms/mechanical bits. Blue eye and plasma, gold on the crotchplate, eagle, and around the eye cylinder. Put a blue patina on the first two bits. I think the legs would be striped white and yellow on the left leg (If you are looking at him,) and on he right leg black and yellow striped. The actual visor itself would be as black as the void and glossy. His banner black as well, perhaps with an inquisition =I= but, I don't think I have the skill for that.

The shield would be checkered black and yellow as well, the cog being gold or warplock with a blue patina as well. I think the rest would be easy from there. Here is an updated picture of him with the extra plates.

As soon as this accursed weather gets better and it quits raining/being hot, I will get a jump on this. An added bonus of the magnet is the split scheme is super easy as I can just spray corax white on the top and chaos black on the bottom.

I wish I didn't have to prime the little red scrap backpack, as that will be almost 100% covered by ocean. Oh, the little pains we go through in the hobby.

Crikey, I feel lazy as Hell just using models as intended when I see that, Stormwall.
Always impressed by the kitbashing in here.

What're you using for the ocean?

I have no idea Butter. I have currently a small vial of the SWM water which is just the woodland scenics rebottled. I'll be using that but, the vallejo stuff you talked about seems amazing. Also, that guy was my first time using GS so I'm not really proud of his banner but, he seems okay. I started with paperclips and the backpack/his front plate which I think is from a dreadnought. I'm glad he seems okay though. I was really nervous about my efforts with him, not sure if I should be proud just yet. I made a lot of mistakes, and also my OCD took over. Under that banner is an entire gun with a robo hand mounted into it, terminator flamer style. You cannot hardly see it now, but, at least I know it is there. Those wires are made from a severed electric cord, that has like 20ish small wires. I wrapped them all around eachother, as if you were making cords, then I glued the ends so they would not fray. When I made that model, I had an idea but, the bits took over. I take my bits and trade them at my shop in a bits box. People donate bits to a bin and when you need a bit, you trade one for it. That is essentially how this model was born. I'd like to think he is an enlarged thallax platform beneath all the plate metal, wrapped in what would constitute a Navigator household archeotech void suit, as he was and still is a Navigator.

Sadly, I never seem to finish my entries in this and the LOER contests but, the support and inspiration for future/current projects makes them worth entering every single time. I'll hopefully get this guy done as I finally have some free time though!

In the words of Shia, I simply must do it.

In other news, I think I've finally found something to enter. Keeping it under wraps, though, just in case it doesn't pan out, as it's something that's a little outside my comfort zone.

Awesome, is that going to be part of a dio with the Magos?

Of course it is, this is one of yours!

Got my own entry done, and I'm happy enough with the results that I'm not ashamed to submit it. It's something a little different to my usual fare, but hopefully cool enough to attract a vote or two... Pics and the Big Reveal tomorrow!

Gonna try to knock out these remotes over the weekend. Kind of getting distracted by my new Geckos. Off to look at the new poll to see if I can fit any of my Infinity to-do list into whichever category is winning.

Hah, me too! Although I could do with a month off to finish up some half done stuff (like my poor Ragik)...

Here we go! Like I say, it's a little different to what I usually do, but I think it still fits here.

A TIE Fighter from Revell's 'easykit' range that I was somewhat randomly given. Since it's been ages since I last worked on a scale model as opposed to a gaming piece, and I needed something to enter this month, I figured I'd put it together and repaint it in something a little more interesting than the 2-colour preparing! Took ages to decide what to do with the wings, but I ended up taking inspiration from a few FFG repaints and went for the Imperial sign on one, then some kind of squadron marking on the other.

Kind of annoyed that I bothered to paint the interior that is now impossible to see, but at least I know what it looks like!

As far as scalegoes, the box listed it as 1:110, but there's no way the pilot was that size, so either it's a misprint or they made the interior a bit larger than it should be. Still, it's a nice enough thing to put on the shelf now, even if the freehand di cost me 30% of my sanity!

It looks nice, be sure to include that pic of the sprues, it shows how much nicer yours turned out.

Just dipped the remotes. I'm hoping to assemble and seal them tonight but I may have to wait till tomorrow for the dip to fully cure as I'll have to manhandle them a bit to do the assembly. Bases came in today as well so I should have my entry completed by this weekend. There's *almost* enough time to try to string together a mini diorama but I dunno...

Well for now...

Call this my final entry if I don't add any more. I may try some in the daylight but these aren't terrible.

still need to put the final highlights on the grey. using the lahiman medium stuff to see how much diference it makes rather than just water. there'll be a slate blue line running the middle of the shoulder plates but can't decide if it should run horizontally or vertically o.O

I was thinking that exact same thing, Its very impressive how you are able to make the simple art of painting blue worthy of comment, Januine.

Hope you had a great Honeymoon.

My dread is coming along slowly, yellow is a pain in the ass to paint. I am concerned that I'm only in the country for 3 more nights this month so not sure how finished it will be.

Wow, GrimDirk, really like those. The colours are very punchy, and the yellow is a great choice.

@buttery thanks . I consider the yellow a green, maybe the photos are messing with it or my colorblindness is acting up... I mean chartreuse maybe.

Looking forward to round 7 planning to go mental.
