They still really need to update the basic Crusade List book...
You still have to lug around 3+ books to be able to use the units added by more recent books (Deredeo and the like from Book 5 or the Leviathan in Book 6 for example).

This looks like it's gonna be a great event -- new Legions book, Retribution, probably some nice previews of Inferno, another Primarch, apparently a new Knight, the Stormbird, some characters and IWs...

We _think_ it's the Domitar - they could be grav-hammers on it's arms and it might have missiles in it's hood...
Agreed, after checking the rules and description, this is most certainly the case.
I do not have all the books. What do "Grav Hammers" do? I might just buy this guy for the looks alone actually.

Looky Likey wrote: Is the Stormbird def. being released? From the WD previews it looked like it'd be the Masterdon at the weekender?
Atia teased about a "big bird" on another forum (think it was B&C). We know that the Stormbird was being worked on, so I don't see what else it could be. Not sure if that means an actual release at the event, mind you.
Also there was talk about a Contemptor-Cortus...apparently a lighter, faster CC-oriented Contemptor?
Yodhrin wrote: I appreciate you responding so reasonably, on second reading the tone of my post can be read as more confrontational than I intended. ASD stands for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Honestly, I hadn't thought to email them about this, as frankly my experience is that companies don't give a gak about accommodating disabilities and disorders unless required by law, and if people like myself or folk who can't make it due to lack of money or distance to travel crossed their minds at all the last time it came up they evidently didn't consider that important enough to override their stated(or, if different, private) reason/s for not permitting videos.
I went to the HH weekender last year and there were a few disabled people, the GW people there were very accommodating of them and their carers. I'll knock GW for a lot of things but never customer service.
Of course they were, they're required by law to be accommodating to people with physical disabilities who show up at their place of business. This isn't about "customer service", I was merely observing that companies tend not to consider that kind of thing when they make decisions unless forced to. The alternative is that when they were deciding to prevent videos being taken someone at FW said "hold on, won't that negatively impact our fans with social disorders or who can't travel here?" and the collective sentiment was in so many words "feth 'em", which is hardly a more flattering thought.
The Domitar is interesting. Was hoping future bots would be taking more design cues from the Castellax than the Thanatar tbh, but it would still take a lot less work to "fix"(for my tastes) the Domitar than it does to deal with the plastic Kastellan.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I actully thought it was a Thallax that was hitting the gym at 1st, because of the hand and arm shapes. After realizeing it's a robot and not a cyborg I thought the Domitar looks like a Castellax that plays basketball.

The Big-Bird they are talking about could also be Dorn. He's big, Yellow, Has Eagle emblems all over and follows the imperial code of ABC and 1,2,3.

l
Book 6 should be on sale early for attendees but that won't have the specific characters and elites for those three Legions, according to previous open day. But, hey, who knows! They've been pumping out a lot of stuff lately so who knows what surprises they will share. I'll be watching the coverage from our fine folks in the UK attending.

True.
And Dorn also has a big brown shaggy imaginary friend.
