I have a question for people that have been rebasing their miniatures for Age of Sigmar. Are there any places that sell bases that are identical or nearly identical to GW's without being stupidly expensive? I want all of my models to have the same style bases, from my current ones to any future ones I buy, but GW's prices for bases are crazy.

(MDF but muuuuuuuuch cheaper than any plastic options. Also a great store for all hobby supplies. Ships from Spain, but surprisingly affordable shipping and weirdly short wait, at least to the East Coast.)

The Shattered Dominion bases off most retailers will cost you like $27 (25mm & 32mm). Not too shabby.

This is my Verminlord, converted to be a bit less regal and more in line with the old verminlord-designs.
It's still wip and I'm desperately looking for a pair of ram horns like the ones in this picture:
I'd make them myself, but I'd rather use existing bits (if they exist, that is) - any ideas?

Not sure on size difference, and I think they have trophies attached, but the Ogre mounfang have some largish curled horns (used at the back of the saddle, not part of the mournfang itself)

Im hoping to start on a few Verminlords myself, as i've had to use Rogers and Clanrats to represent Verminlords (Due to summoning by my Screaming Bell, which will hopefully be done tommorow!)

Thanks a lot - those might just be perfect!

I had to cut and re-angle most of the leg joints, in order to change the pose from standing to moving. The whole model is tilted slightly forward as well. For the weapon pose, I used one of the cocked arms from the sprue (the one with the sickle), cut it off at the wrist and attached the glaive hand to it with a bit of wire and modelling putty. Then I cut off large parts of the neck and attached the head directly to the torso, a bit lower than normal, to give it a more hunchbacked appearance. The horns were way to prominent for me, so I used only the tips and fitted them behind the skull with some more putty.

All that's left to do now is finding a pair of ram horns, add a point to the other end of the glaive (because that part was originally stuck in a rock) and closing all the remaining gaps.

Tomorrow I'll try and make better pictures, including the backside, so you guys can see how all the parts align.

If you are good at cutting metal, I would recommend a "harvester of saluel" model from confrontation, he has a good set of rams horns on his helmet.

In the Warp, getting trolled by Tactical_Spam, AKA TZEENTCH INCARNATE

I've been working on my Vampire Counts some more, but I've also managed to sneak in a Beastman test model

Here's a look at the new additions:

And here's my Slaaneshi Beastman test model (which was also my first attempt at painting flesh tones):

I followed the tutorial that came with the latest White Dwarf for the fleshy parts, I figured that it'd look just as good on a Beastman as it did on that Slaughterpriest

Holy Terra.

Short Preview of whats to come: (Hint: I just got my hands on the new WD, one week after it sold out!)

Spoiler:

"Lord Khagast!"
Hearing the doors open, the men clustered around the burning throne turned. Standing in the archway, their silhouettes illuminated from behind by the fires raging outside, stood three figures.
The cry was heard again:
"Lord Khagast!"
The man closest to the throne stepped forward. He was presumably their leader, his armored frame wrapped in rich silk that had, until this evening, adorned the walls of the throne room.
"Who dares speak my name."
He spoke softly, his voice barely audible over the crackling of the flames. He to a step forward, his footfalls echoing about the hall. His followers, clustered behind him, begann inching their way towards the exit.
The intruder spoke.
"Azag the Wanderer, Curse of Gyran, Shadow of Nurgle and Lord of Heruzlem wishes to make his presence known!"
Khagast stopped. He had heard tell of Azag, slayer of Men, Aelves and Gods alike, and many stories of his deeds had been told around the campfires of his warriors. He knew that Azag was one to be reckoned with.
Khagast laughed.
"I am Lord Khagast, Drinker of Blood, Bringer of Death (Couldn't resist a Terry Goodkin reference .)! I crossed the wilds of Ghur, destroyed the Fortress of Thorns and have now laid waste to Sarep in the name of Khorne!" He drew his sword. "I killed Karsten Quickfingers, last of the Kings of Sarep, and burned his throne! This tapestry that i clothe myself with was, until recently, his complete lineage, which I alone have ended! My warriors have destroyed the last remnants of his armies, and are now burning his city. Sarep is gone, and it is Khorne that may delight in its destruction, and not the twisted monstrosity you call a God!" With this last word, he charged at the men standing in the doorway, screaming an indecipherable battle cry as he did so.
The intruder remained unmoving.
"Azag is already here."
Khagast dropped to the floor. His followers rushed towards him, but stopped as they saw the figure standing over him. Clad in green-brown armor that seemed to change its exact hue as they stared at it, pulled its sword out of their leaders back.
"Azag..."
The men bowed their head, some dropping to the floor in anguish. Although followers of Khorne, they knew when they had found an enemy even they could not hope to overcome.
Azag turned.
And spoke:
"I am Azag the Wanderer, Curse of Gyran, Shadow of Nurgle, Lord of Heruzlem. I have killed Lord Khagast, Drinker of Blood, Bringer of Deat, who crossed the wilds of Ghur, destroyed the Fortress of Thorns and who laid waste to Sarep in the name of Khorne, killed Karsten Quickfingers, last of the Kings of Sarep, and burned his throne." He wiped the blood from his hands "I am now lord of Sarep, and all within it, including you. Just as I destroyed the followers of Khorne in Marienburg." The men at his feet had never heard of such a place, but remained where they where.
"But I have not come to shed more blood. I am above such primitive practices. No, I have come for a tribute."
Azag paused. He glanced at the Bloodbound.
"Who offers themselves willingly?"
His laughter echoed around the chamber.

The leaders for my Nurgle swamp lords warband and my Norse Khorne acolytes worshiping him in the aspect of the Wolf-Father.

If people are actually interested I can post pics that are actually decent and not taken from Whatsapp I'm just posting them to justify the next part of my post.

Is there a painting guide or at least a rundown of colours used for those sexy, sexy Bloodletters? I love the harmony of the colours. For the first time I want the plastic 'letters for their own sake and not just to use their legs in conversions On my own I'd start to wetblend the swords when they're clearly just basecoat, wash, edge highlight, however, so I need a guide to restrain myself.

Also, unless you display the exclusive packaging I'm going to assume that is not the White Dwarf but a mere Unforged painted to have a white beard.

The use of both snow and static grass on that base is really good work, and there's so much detail besides! The mushroom even has spots painted on it!

Oh, I think there's a model standing on the base too, it looks nice I guess.
