Thanks. And yeah, Scar made a pretty amazing piece:

His entry is in there. It was insanely impressive because it basically stood insanely tall and had an amazing army in there too.

Not painted any fantasy models properly in a while so figured I'd make a start.
While its not exactly high quality, its good enough for the table.

The base is yet to be done though as im waiting on basing material to turn up.

Not painted properly in ages so teaching myself again slowly lol.

It looks like you have a strong start; the color choice is excellent.

Thank you
Hopefully basing stuff arrives tomorrow so I can get it done 100%

Currently on the painting list is:

Alarielle
Drycha (nearly done)
Branchwraith

32 dryads
5 spite revenants
3 kurnoth hunters

Durthu

Got my work cut out for me but I'll drag myself though it slowly.

Looks like you are doing something similar to me, ploughing through the new Sylvaneth. On my painting table I have 9 Kurnoth Hunters and a Spirit of Durthu. After that, I just have 10 Spite-Revenants and Alarielle (saving her to last!) to go, and then I am calling the Sylvaneth done (for now).

Oh, and I also managed to finish two more characters for the Devoted of Sigmar. Said I was done with this army, and then did these two. I think most people here will understand that...

Greetings from germany!

Yesterday I finished my Blades of Dawn Stormhost. All models complete, with bases, decals and everything. I started with the contents of the Starterbox and then it escalated (as always ) to 3320 points of sigmarite goodness.

Here we have some crappy pics.

Looking good Matt and Valorion!

Sylvaneth seem to be quite a quick army to get through, yet still having a lot of details on the larger characters.

Probably my favourite army from an aethstetic standpoint.

I'm not sure where I left off, but here are a couple pics of my Ironjawz.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Loving all the inspiration here. Nothing to report for myself, been focusing on 40k for a bit, playing my first actual game in 16 years today to see if I want to invest fully in AOS or split between the two.

On a project note, if I decide to go full in on AOS and skip 40k, I'm highly considering starting another faction as I'm not sure Flesh Eater Courts really appeal to me playstyle-wise (I was never a fan of a lot of chaff troops), but painting skin is a lot better than painting flat armor. I'm highly considering a Nurgle project that's going to be a throwback to the old Realm of Chaos; a mix of daemons, mortals (Blightkings, love those models), maybe Beastmen and Skaven (Pestilens of course) all together in one large filthy, putrid warband, or if I don't go that route then it might be Ironjawz and/or Bonesplitterz done with a WoW-esque theme, haven't yet decided. The Nurgle idea sounds like it'd be loads more fun and visually appealing

Trying something different. This project is coming real slow for me, but at least I am happy taking my time.

Finally got over my procrastination and took photos of my blood zombie army! Pardon the quality, I don't have a lot of resources in the photography department.

Spoiler:

This whole army went from concept to completion in just two months! Also the army I have finished/played with completely painted!

I just feel so betrayed that you still use square bases, Ninth.

Ha, only kidding. Great looking army. Love the blood banshee coming out the dragon. What do you use the blood troll things as? And this army can't be many points?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Its 2000 points matched play.
-Vamp on Zombie Dragon
-Necromancer
-10-man Zombies x3
-Mourngul x3
-60 points in reserve to summon either 10 more zombies or a cairn wraith, based on the needs of the scenario.

Bases are square to keep costs down, this whole army ran me $125 and round-basing everything could easily have kicked that up by 30% or so.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to bar my windows before Auticus shows up to shank me for my betrayal of the balance community...

I got three solid games in before my buddies said they wouldn't play against it again, ever. I told them they should only feel truly afraid when I show up for a game and put down a single Arch-Warlock then say "I'm done deploying".
