Dammit, just when I've damn near caught up with all the releases! Saw the Assault Carrier today but it was $100 so I thought I'd wait a couple of days for a Boxing Day sale. I'm still not entirely convinced on the entire wave. I may be looking more forward to the Imperial Veterans set. Any idea when that's out?

Still in development, but as the models are already in production and approved, the turnaround can be much quicker. Q1 2016 is the official line.

I've been pre ordering this wave in large enough chunks from the FLGS to qualify for free shipping, but thanks to the long notice on FFG releases, I'm all paid up for when it arrives!

No, his name is a play on Hello Nasty, a Beastie Boys album from the late 90s. Side note: it features their hit Intergalactic, which is fitting given the setting of the movies.

Aparently the script on his helm says, "Born to Ill"
Indeed. (Another play on a Beastie Boys album, this time Licence to Ill).

I'm mostly excited for the wave 8 scum ships, there are quite a few crew cards with those 2 ships. I'm hoping for some more YV-666 options and the ships themselves look pretty fun!

Ghost meh.

Tie Inquisitor - oo XX-23s!

I'll end up getting a ghost for the crew, but yeah, please give me some good scum ships, the cartel marauder and even the bossk boat were disappointments. Inquisitor looks awesome if I could get into flying the imperials.

Saw this Jumpmaster info pop up on /tg/. I can't speak to it's authenticity, or even the correctness of the translation provided, but thought it was interesting to share:
Spoiler:

"The first time you are destroyed, cancel all remaining damage, discard all your Damage cards, and assign 4 facedown Damage cards instead."

Keep in mind the JumpMaster has 5 native hull, and you can put Hull Upgrade on it and /get it back/ the first time you die.

Spoilered for huge. Also no idea what the partial ability on the left is. Any french reading dakkanaut want to translate? I don't really trust google to provide (even partial) context.

Censé means expected. So it isn't "are destroyed" but more likely "are about to be destroyed." So essentially you get one (maybe 2 with HU) HPs back.

Thanks! Any idea what the partial card on the left says? I see something about defending, but no idea if it's when that pilot defends or another ship defends against him.

It's almost certainly Dengar.

I'd say, probably something like, after having defended yourself, if the enemy is located in your fire arc, you can perform a <X> attack against that ship.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The card seen in full is , loosely, "When you would be destroyed by an attack, cancel all remaining damage, discard all damage cards on this ship and assign 4 facedown damage cards to this ship."

So gross overkill is meaningless. You essentially potentially forego all critical damage previously assigned to you and get a fully functional ship, albeit one with only 2 hull left.

Well, 1, unless you take Hull Upgrade. I don't know why you wouldn't with that ability, but Engine Upgrade is still a thing.

Yes, it is Dengar, who was revealed by FFG back at the end of July.

That's 4-LOM on the left [note: actually on the right], whose pilot ability translates to: "During the end phase, you may remove one of your stress tokens and assign it to another ship at Range 1."

Cool couple of pilots for the Misthunter.

I was just asked to translate, and nothing more, sire.

I wonder if we'll see more salvaged astromechs. It's not like it can use Genius, I don't think we've seen it's dial? So we don't know if unhinged is a good choice or not (but just think of the placement of that huge base all over the board)

Two uniques and two copies of a new generic.

Pretty sure the second unique is r4-b11 which we have from most wanted. Excited about the Gonk though!

It isn't. The picture is clearly different.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

No, it's new.

The art is different.

Come to think of it, outside of Lone Wolf, I don't think FFG has put a unique upgrade in more than one expansion.

Huh, I stand corrected. That makes me look forward to the Jumpmaster even more.

Interesting tidbits all around. More germane to the title of this thread, there are hints that we should expect to see the rest of wave 8 in stores by the end of Jan.

It's been on the boat for almost a month now hasn't it? Given there are three more weeks in January, I'd hope wave 8 will hit by the end of the month!

I saw on Amazon yesterday a release date of 1/15. Take that with a grain of salt though, Amazon has been known to be incorrect in the past.

slight bump

Since FFG won't actually be releasing a Jumpmaster preview, we'll continue to get what information we can from leaks:

Word in our area is that wave 8 will be available the week of Feb. 15th. Just rumors... I can't point to anything solid.

I've heard everything from 8 Feb all the way through mid March. It'll be out when it's out, I accept that, but the radio silence on it is pretty ridiculous.
