The website has been up for about a year I believe and the ebay store for longer than that so if GW want to take legal action, they don't seem to be in any hurry.

Not sure where they're based, but if it's Eastern Europe/Russia, like a lot of 3rd party companie,s then it simply won't be worth the jurisditcional red tape/hoop jumping and lengthy, costly trial.

Plus GW haven't exaclty been litigiously minded since the whole CH debacle

Yep, so not in the EU, which makes any legal action (and above all enforcement) from GW more costly and complicated than against any og the Polish companies.

Still, it's not impossible at all so I suspect the lack of legal action is because GW doubt they have a case or they don't believe it's worth to take action when considering the cost of resources and public goodwill.

They've stated that they've taken down some items (helmets, I think) at GW's request.

I also have no idea what I would do with those chaos ladies, but I am thinking that I should dedicate some time to figuring it out, because they are really impressive. I wonder how hard it would be to make the limbs look mechanical...

As with a whole lot of the more recent small-run model companies, they sculpt either digitally from scratch or from a scanned master with refinement, then send the files off to a specialist 3D print shop to be done at max resolution on high end industrial gear, and use the prints as masters to produce silicone moulds which can be used to cast a large number of pourable materials.

If they really wanted to they could go from those to spin-cast metal with only a couple of intermediary steps but resin has lesser startup costs even if you lose out in the long run.
