Thanks for the links. I wonder if the drones are mandatory for the formation... I doubt it but you never know.

They're wargear options and part of the kits.

Considering the fact that the Armored Interdiction Cadre(an existing Apocalypse formation) was unchanged from its previous incarnation, I don't think they'll be requiring the Drones.

I would love it if they did though.

I saw the Ghosts of the Webway as well. Could it be possible that Dark Eldar will be in Mont'ka? Seems kinda weird, but they need assistance too.

"Ghosts of the Webway" gives a 404 error page right now, so I can't tell you anything about it beyond that it is strictly Harlequin models within.

Edit:
It's just a bundle, not a box.
It's 6 Harlequin Troupe boxes, 3 Starweaver/Voidweaver kits, one of each character(Death Jester, Solitaire, Shadowseer), and 4 sets of Skyweavers.

Whoops, I don't know why I was thinking it was a Dark Eldar bundle. The fact it gives a 404 really makes this hard to pin down.

They have to do something to help move those Stealth Suit kits.

Didn't this one already change by virtue of adding the riptide?

The riptide is not the change.
The current apoclaypse formation is 1 stealth team, 3-5 crisis teams of 3 members (that one obviously changed given that the bundle has 1 crisis team of 3), and 0-1 riptides.

EDIT:wait, the picture don't match description, picture shows 3 crisis suits, description says 9.
/EDIT

I expect the current version to be 1 stealth team, 1 riptide team and 3 crisis suit teams (of any size). but that's speculation.

Also-armored interdiction changed ALOT.
It used to be a 3-5 hammerheads that go as a single squadron (apoc formation armored spearhead rules) that generated d3+1 markerlight hits on anything within the "command tank" line of sight, now its a 3 hammerhead teams and 1 skyray team formation, that notes a point on the table and gets TL against any target within range of it (don't remember range, I think 12"?)
Totally different.

Exactly the same thing you do when you finish a GW model. Except I don't have to do anything to pose my gundam.

Yeah, the main pic of the contents doesn't match the actual contents. The original sold boxed set that I was referring to had 3x3 crisis suits and the stealth suits plus the drones. I didn't realize they changed that since as I don't keep up with apoc for a few years. The old original contents are spoiler pic'ed below to avoid confusion since they're outdated.

Rule 0 dictates that they be allowed to outflank from their opponent's board edge only on any turn of their choosing (that they don't have to tell you) and be allowed to charge. Otherwise, you're not forging the typo narrative hard enough!

They, officially, haven't changed that. As of now it's still 9 Crisis Suits and Stealth Suits. He's referring to the bundle I listed, which shows 3 but lists 9 and includes a Riptide.

As much as I'd love to see some specific stuff for my boys in blue, I'm betting that the Mont'ka book is pretty much Farsight and Imperial Guard formations.

Sentinals in an infantry platoon. ABOUT TIME!

Too bad we can't outflank that entire platoon anymore. Or back it up with infinite Guardsmen.

Here's to hoping that this book has some fun, fluffy, and interesting IG formations.

Stealth suits must start infiltrating, everything else in DS.
No scatter and TL within 18" of the stealth suits.

Also, in apoc DS happens on any turn of your choice, not on reserves, so its effectively T1 assured.

No way the new rules will be like that, but that's the gist of it.
I predict a 12" no scatter zone and assured T1 deep strike. (no twin linking)

We already basically have that. Go second, have nothing on the table but infiltration Cadre, and deploy aggressively.

But I imagine the if Mon'Ka is FSE specific, then there will be a formation with T1 DS.

Mont'ka won't be FSE specific, it makes no sense - Tau Empire use Mont'ka strategies as well.
FSE will already get an update by February.

Regarding Infiltration Cadre - yes, but I rather get T1 DS without such shenanigans. Also, if you go first (the enemy lend you the initiative), you'll be in serious problems with only the IC on the table (if you have other stuff, he'll target those and not the IC).

I can see the second book being FSE specific. Right region of space, near the gulf, and the other book was Shadow Sun focused.

It could also very well just be another Shadow Sun chapter. We will see, and the excitement is mildly distracting!

I honestly wonder if the Blood Angels are going to have a role in Mont'ka or are just getting Models released right now on a separate track, since there's no reason to assume every release this week is tied to Mont'ka. The Blood Angels could definitely use an update but, at the same time, narratively Damocles already has a large number of Space Marine Chapters involved in the Fluff who could use some attention, I'd hope they don't suddenly play second fiddle so that the bigger named chapter can save the day. That happens to often for my tastes. So I'm in an aporia about it.

The Imperial Guard thing is more understandable, and enjoyable for me, most likely they'll play the key role in the Imperium's victory which will be a nice change to in a Narrative Supplement focusing on their prowess. Although I might dislike the repetitive nature of the Imperium winning each of these Narrative Supplement Book Series' at the very least reversing the order of the usual Narrative Supplement by having the Space Marines lose in the first book and then the Imperial Guard save the day in the second book will be a welcome change. Different to Sanctus Reach and Shield of Baal.

If new Enclaves means, as in, Farsight's number of held planets has increased I'll be a little surprised. At least, as of yet, the Enclaves as a polity has been described as almost wholly defensive in nature against threats, rarely ever being described as expansionistic or aggressive to whatever neighbours they had.
