Subject: Suicide Squad new trailer 10th April page2
The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Pretty sure Deadpool is on track to be the movie it's supposed to be. Ryan Reynolds? Check. Blind Al? Check. Weasel? Check. Ajax as the baddy? Check. Vanessa Carlisle as the love of his life early on, and possibly having a stripper's/hooker's background? Check.
Ok, so it has Colossus and the teenage psycho girl. But I can work with that. They're making a classic Deadpool movie. Not the garbage that's been coming out recently. I'm bummed if a couple of you don't appreciate the awesome it will be. But it's a bummer for you. Not me or 95% of the people who go to see it.
And the Suicide Squad movie looks fun. Leto looks like a more believable Joker in this now. The early images didn't instill confidence, but this trailer does.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Color me unimpressed. Looks like a bizarre attempt to mirror Guardians of the Galaxy. And those dialogue snippets. Just ugh.
The first trailer at least attempted to keep it dark and sort of edgy. This just looks like a by the numbers action romp =/

Actors always claim that they had a great time working on a film, but in this case I think the SS cast might have had as much fun as they've been saying. Looks insane in a great way.

Well, except for those times where they received gifts from the Joker during the filming process
And yeah... THIS trailer makes this movie look a lot better. I can't quite say I'm excited for it, because well, I have almost exactly 1 month until I see Deadpool.... but I will probably see this one for sure.
I know where you're coming from, but outside of Brooklyn, that accent isn't as...charming as you'd think.
I think because she's a bad guy, it would work, and not really be "charming" in any way...
Keep in mind that Captain Steve Rogers is supposedly from Brooklyn as well. But I guess getting a lethal dose of Super Soldier Serum would give anyone a star-spangled accent as well

If you listen closely, there's hints of the accent in a couple of the clips; the voices bit, for one. The impression I'm getting is that it's been massively toned down from the cartoon (because a two hour live action film of that would get grating), but it'll still be there a bit. Also bear in mind that I don't think we hear Harley say more than a single sentence at a time in that trailer, and you're not going to get the full impression from that short of a clip.
I was happier with Harley until this trailer. Now she kind of comes across as generic mental illness instead of her specific issues. Hopefully it is just the trailer.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

I actually agree. The characterization feels a bit off, and the movie seems like you could take it out of the DC universe completely and it wouldn't affect it.
I still don't like Joker with a grill either, which is a shame because I think Leto is going to be a great Joker otherwise.

But don't you know he is damaged?
I don't mind the ink so much as it seems like they went for the worst, most on-the-nose, tattoos.
Again hoping in the theater it will seem better, and I am curious about his performance, but at the moment I am concerned (slightly).
From reading various "on set" articles, I'm not so much worried about his performance, as the overall look. I agree that tattoos are great, but I'm not sold on *those* tattoos.
I am a lot more convinced about Leto Joker having seen this trailer, especially the shot of him in the suit I think definitely looks the part. Every Joker is going to pale in comparison with Ledger and with Hamill's voice work, but I think Leto's looks to be taking elements from both and that could work really well.
His laugh, when he's lying on the floor, is fantastic.
Agreed... and then the brief glimpse of him diving into the... thing.... followed with what looks to be him pulling/holding harley in a pool, with their makeup kinda swirling around them looks like they are gonna get a bit of their infamous romance on screen.
Yes yes I know I know.
But super hero movies, especially the ones suceeding embrace being FUN and exciting. not dark and brooding and missing the point of the hero entirely and no i wont get over Man Of Steel.
Honestly I don't even know what 'FUN and exciting' is supposed to mean, considering how generic a description it is. Is it a euphemism for boring and insignificant?

Did you watch Winter Soldier? Or the entire Dark Knight trilogy?
