I bet there will be QQ about how people want the old metal sculpts back ^^
any of the fabled 13th company leaders coming along for the ride? *pokes*
=D
You mean the mighty Wolf Lord, Wolf Priest, or Rune Priest?
I wouldn't be surprised to see a "Saga of the Lost Company" that can be applied to a unit/character allowing for them to gain Scout and Move Through Cover.

More excited about the so-called Daemon detachment, any news on that?
This, definitely. I'd really like to know what's up with that. Who knows, maybe it'll be like the Admech formations, where its units from Marines and Daemons instead of Cult and Skitarri

There was one named 13th Company character, Sternhammer.

I really shouldn't have sold him--but I don't remember ever seeing rules for him?
I know that the Eye of Terror campaign book most definitely does not have any.

Hew was a Games Day miniature. I believe his rules were in the Games Day program for that year.

I know he was a Games Day miniature. I was present at GD Baltimore that year.
I don't remember getting rules for him at all.
Did a quick Google search, saw that he and his Wulfen Guard did have rules!
I wonder why I never got them...

One of the nice things about the plastic upgrade sprues is that it has the parts to make a lot of the characters you need. Ragnar, Ulrik/wolf priest, etc. I like them doing that instead of them needing to release a specific model for each.
Very similar for the other chapter kits as well.
People who stopped buying GW but wont stop bitching about it are the vegans of warhammer
So 10,000 year old Space Wolves, huh? I sure hope they get special rules to distinguish them from modern Space Wolves. It just wouldn't be right for 10,000 year old legion veterans from the Heresy to be indistinguishable from recent recruits. No that just wouldn't be right. No siree. Definitely need legion rules. Definitely.

Well, if they've been stuck in the Eye Of Terror this whole time, time doesn't flow the same way there. Might've only been a day for them.

And Wolves aren't a subfaction. Never in the history of the game have they been. They were the first Codex ever published by GW. The 13th Company are the subfaction.
IIRC they were also the first army to get an army list back in RT days.
First Book of the Astronomicon, them and White Scars.

Sort of. They had a campaign and a small force list - the only real (Space Marine) army list was the Whitescars (sic) one.

Interesting times ahead.
I could see them doing either just a wulfen unit or a whole stand alone mini dex for 13th.
I wonder if GW would ever be so bold as to suggest you use Betrayal at calt models to fill out 13ths ranks?
(but its not really the same mark of armour as the 30k wolves had, is it?)

The Wolves certainly had Mark IV. They were probably not among the best equipped legions but they'd still have a sizable amount.
Also, the 13th company didn't disappear until during the scouring I believe?, so they'd have ample opportunity to upgrade their suits considering how many MK IV armored marines must have been slain on Terra.

That only reinforces his point honestly. Legion marines are very different then current ones and if they were only in there a short time from their own perspective, they should be different. However, there wolfen, cursed, so I am sure they will be different and mutated anyway.
Having said that, these guys had better only be able to ally with space wolves proper if they are going to be werewolves. No way smurfs are tolerating fighting next to the wolfman, being warp touched mutants and all.
