Yeah, I'd definitely be down for another set of buildings, I'm very much from the 'too lazy to do terrain, cardboard boxes will do' school of wargaming, so I'd happily pay for sturdy, already printed sets like this. And with them being double sided, they wouldn't even need to produce another set to encourage people to buy another, you simply use the reverse designs. 4-5 of them and some scatter terrain would easily fill out a board, I think.

Paradigm wrote: My box just arrived, and basically, I'm blown away. It's a real sign that Knight are stepping up to the plate in more than just mini design, the production values here frankly seem to trump Icestorm (which I had held as a gold standard for metal starter set box games). The box is nice and sturdy, with every model in its own tray, a layer of foam that can easily be reused in a carrying case in a pinch, the printing on the building/tokens is top notch, and all the casts look to be really clean and definitely a lot sharper than some of the older KM stuff. The rulebook is likewise nicely printed, keeping the colourful presentation from the hardback.
All in all, it's easily worth the asking price, if you can get it at a discount then it's frankly one of the best hobby products around in this price range at the moment.
The If anyone wants pics of anything in particular just let me know and I'll snap some, I intend to write up a full review later anyway. And if anyone's wondering about the new Batman card as that's not been shown yet, likewise let me know (the short version is he's very much a 'no frills' version in the vein of MillerBat, but with the very nice Sustained Defence and Close Combat Master abilities). Lovely one-piece model as well.
Good to know Para. Can you post the batfleck card here?

It's a profile I like the look of. Arkham Origins/Knight pay for a lot that's quite situational, Millerbat is just a bit too barebones and DKR is very different, fast but more fragile... Seems he's competing in the same sort of role as Arkham City Batman, losing Counter Attack, RC Batarangs and Total Vision for much more reliable attack (5 with re-rolls to hit from CC master, huge if you're putting him up against Deathstroke/Ra's ect) and the ability to 'Combo' Defence for 6 Defence dice if you really need it.

The US is still now just getting them. I think there are two online stores that list the product in stock (FRP and MIniature Market) as of yesterday.
So, assume US stores got their product yesterday, and will be shipping today/this week. And add a few days for the shipping. Hopefully, by next week, US orders should be fullfilled.
And if that's true, its by far the fastest KM has gotten its products out to the US.

What are the sculpts like ? The only thing putting me off is if they are shallow like a lot of k.m stuff ? A lot seem to have about 50% of the details painted on.

They're all really sharp. Even things like the texture on Joker's coat or the lining of Batman's suit are really sharp, even moreso that a lot of other BMG stuff (which in general I find very well defined).

Question re: Marvel Miniatures Game, have there been any special/limited release models like there has been with BMG? Talking like the preorder bonus stuff.

timetowaste85 wrote: No, there haven't. Marvel thankfully hasn't had any LE models. And I hope they don't ever get any. At least no X-Men ones.
So far the only thing KM has released LE models for were both rulesbooks for BMG, and the Suicide Squad box set, I'm sure once Marvel gets a large release along those lines you'll see an LE model added to it.
I personally don't mind that. Although shipping from Spain hurts my soul lol.

Pretty much all of that is awesome and going on the wishlist! The Freeze crew is fantastic and well worth the wait, Heatwave and Cap Cold are great likenesses and the BvS set is just brilliant. Not too keen on Flagg and I'll pass on the Bane set, but on the whole this is a really solid month of releases!

Tempted to get Wonder Woman as she was so Kick ass in that film. I wonder if they will do the guys from the WWI photograph as well
Apparently Element are shipping my Suicide Squad boxes today.
The merc guy with the knife with Bird (?) looks odily posed.

I certainly hope that's something KM pick up on. While Marvel only had a limited range, there are a ton of characters in BMG that could make the switch to the supers version. All the Flash lot, Green Arrow, Cyborg, The Hawks, Solomon Grundy, Black Manta, Bane, Grodd when he makes an appearance, a whole bunch of others. It'd help get the DC Supers game off the ground fast while they work on more dedicated sets,
It could go both ways as well. With the escalation that's been going on in BMG, I'd not be surprised to see WW and superman make an appearance in a toned-down form (though not necessarily best-pleased...)

The DC heroes in general look like more than a match for the Marvel counterparts, those three could probably quite easily take on the Dark Avengers set or even a bolstered Avengers or X-men team. Tons of hit points and defensive abilities (WW can hit Defence 21 with her Gauntlets and a Defensive Stance) and lots of nice damage-dealing... a potential 6 Damage green on Superman is brutal.

Not sure what the differences are in the 3.0 version of the Marvel Universe rulebook. At first glance, looks to be almost identical to the DC universe except for the scenarios.

Flash
Green Arrow
Cyborg
Hawkman
Hawkgirl
Joker
Lobo
Killer Frost
Deathstroke
Bane
Harley Quinn
Deadshot
Batgirl
Starfire
Black Canary
Solomon Grundy
Clayface
Ra's Al Ghul
Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash
Kid Flash
Ravager
Black Manta
Swamp Thing
Poison Ivy
And a team bonus for the Justice League of America that confirms Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman are coming.
And that is fantastic news. The problem Marvel had in the first few months was a lack of options and specifically villains, whereas DCUMG is going to have a great range of thematic teams ready to go from the off. Various incarnations of the Justice League, the Suicide Squad, the Teen Titans, and plenty of villain teamups!
