Green Goblin's rules were in the MUMG FAQ released a little while ago.

I thought the average game was 40 levels not 50?

I was hoping that Thanos would be 40 points on his own, maybe later down the line we'll be able to spend levels to put the Gems on him outside of the one scenario.

Either way, these are cool to have now.

Doom is a little above average on the power scale, but comes with a significant negative that hinders his team. But, he can be on 4 different teams; good or bad superheroes, and good or bad cosmic teams.. So, that's interesting.

As a Knight Models Game beginner (absolute), please do elaborate here - thanks!

Game Average is generally 50. - There's a couple of starter sets out there that are 40 points just by themselves. - Such as the Dark Avengers and the Justice League. 50 tends to give you 6-8 models to field.

So yeah, DOOM is 11 points, with the average being 6-8 like I said.

The "Affiliate" symbols on Doom's card are grey, which means he is of a 'neutral' affiliation. - So he can be fielded in teams with Heroes or Villains

There's also 2 "Affiliate" symbols on his card. These relate to 2 of the 3 (or 4, if you include DC) factions in the game. They are officially called: "Cosmic, Superhuman, Mutant." But it's easier to think of them as: "Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, X-Men."

So, DOOM's symbols mean: Superhuman, Cosmic. And they're Grey, so he's neutral. So in other words, he can be fielded in a Guardians of the Galaxy team, an Avengers team, a Dark Avengers team or hang out with Thanos.

The significant negative is the "DOOM'S Way" rule. It stops all friendly models within 4 inches of DOOM from using the 'Overload' rule. Without getting into the weeds of how the game works. (You can look at that here by the way. - Knight Models provide the rulebooks for free), Overload is effectively 'aiming' to increase their accuracy. DOOM stops friendlies from doing that, which is a pretty significant negative and can be a real downside in some missions where everyone has to deploy near each other. It also can be bad for him because it means that he having him in range to be bodyguarded (commonly 2 inches) by allies is something you probably don't want to do.

In effect, this ultimately means that DOOM does not play well with others. Which is well, as you'd expect, being DOOM.

I'd love to get a modern thunderbolt team... new punisher, venom slinging guns, deadpool a red hulk, ghost rider, and electra?

The comics were awesome. Love deadpool and the venom gunslinger.

Does the "Spider-Man" game work with the Marvel Game well, or at all?

Spider-man works with Batman, Marvel Supers works with DC Supers, beyond that there's no compatibility beyond the models that have rules for both.

Here's a writeup on it I did a while ago:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/360/660463.page#9020011

At this point, all the models released for Spiderman (other than the henchmen) now have rules for Marvel Supers.

Thank you for that - much appreciated!

I REALLY want to get into these games...not sure what's holding me back at this point, other than the big issue of a gaming group that plays it, of course!

The superheroes game is easiest to get people to pick up and play and get people to try out. It's easier to do some sort of gathering interest style game. Contest of heroes capture the flag sort of thing.

The Spider-Bat game is more suited for someone that has played the Superheroes and goes, "I want something more strategic and planning based."

New to Dakka Dakka, long time BMG player...

Aaron Cash and the quick response team looks good but did anyone else notice Response team 1's stat card. He lists a riot gun which doesn't list any sort of range? Does the same damage as his baton so if it has no range what is the point? Knight models makes so many mistakes in their cards I dunno.

Hmm. Hadn't noticed that. If a ranged weapon doesn't list range (eg green arrow's bow) range is unlimited.

Yeah in Batman, everything that has an ammo value is assumed to have infinite range unless stated otherwise.

This means that Michael Sommers (aka Alpha Swat) has become far more awesome as his range restriction has become removed in a FAQ.

I am happy to report good things for the suicide starter buildings. The gloss finish is the worst part. Besides that, they go together quickly and easily. Sturdy with the little tabs in, too. You can use the interior of the second floors if you don't add the signs outside, though it's mostly an afterthought. The double stack is 15" to the top floor.

Kinda hope they sell these separately, my card city could definitely use another set, especially since they're largely reversible.

For all the talk of 50 point games you are absolutely fine to play 20 or 30 point games, particularly if you are using cheaper characters (the cheapest character being Black Widow at 4 points).

Most of the starters are 30 points, and give you 4 model teams. These can be had fairly cheaply. Dark Avengers and DC Trinity are 40 point starters, everything else is 30 points.

Knight are re-releasing the collectors/spider man models with Marvel game cards in January to increase the available models (particularly for Avengers/Dark Avengers).

Then I imagine there will be more DC/Marvel releases fairly regularly. There are certainly a number of Batman miniatures that could be converted over to the Superhero game (Mr Freeze, Catwoman, Catman, Robin, Captain Cold etc etc). Then you could do a Mr Freeze, Killer Frost, Captain Cold team.

I certainly think there is potential for 20 point games with 3-4 models per side using the more street level characters.

I thought the same thing. I left mine assembled so i could quickly use them as i did bend one of the cardboard tabs. After a few weeks they are so warped it isn't funny. Very nice design but crappy longevity which is sad considering my infinity paper terrain you fold together last longer and I expected that to be one use throw away scenery that i bought off of ebay for like $12 to bring on vacation. And a year later i still use the terrain with no issues and flatten it out often for storage. The starter buildings are pure crap. I thought they would rock too when i first got them.

I used marker on my buildings edges, glued them so they are permanently assembled, and hit them with krylon matte varnish. It cuts the gloss and darkens them a bit. Perfect for Gotham or a marvel game.

Huh, no fogging or warping of the card from the krylon spray? I wouldn't mind taking out that glare...

I also use the matte krylon clear coat on all my descent and inperial assault tokens and map tiles. Hint is to put on two thin coats. The only issue I've seen is when too much is put on. It's just like laying clear coat on a car after paint. Distance, speed, and thin coats are needed.

Sooo much news.

First, new models coming for BMG. Comic versions and Catwoman and Riddler crew.

Then, re-releases of all the limited editions to date.

Finally, the first model preview for the Harry Potter game: Mad-Eye!

Damn, Mad-Eye is looking awesome! They've nailed the likeness, bodes well for the rest of the range.

Is it just Harley/Batfleck being re-released, or are other limited editions like Alfred/Red Hood being put out as well?
