I realize it's a red attack, one use only, but the Onega beam (I'm not as DC as I am Marvel, but I think it's Onega) is brutal!!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Unless there's a joke here that I'm missing, it is definitely Omega Beams...

Yeah, it's Omega beams.

If memory serves, generally speaking, it's the most powerful attack and ability in the DC Universe (aside, perhaps, from instances where a writer decides I'm going to top the Omega Beam). So yeah, it's sufficiently brutal. If I remember right, it typically wipes someone from existence.

Watching the Superman / Batman Apocalypse film is a good primer on this sort of thing. Although, there's "Justice League: War" as well. But, meh... Not much of a fan of the New 52 style they do for those films.

The facebook threads have everyone freaking out about this, and how the power creeps all doom and gloom and so on and so forth.

Darkseid is DC's equivalent of Marvel's Thanos. Essentially one of the (if not THE) most powerful beings in the universe.

He'll change the meta, sure. People will need to SERIOUSLY think about having irresistible and magical attacks in their lists, and plan for redundancy with them but no, I don't think the game is broken because of him.

or just have larger lists, the beam will wipe one hero but them that's it

OK, my bad. My ear always seem to pick up that it was an N, not an M.

I'm much more of a Marvel guy and I love Thanos, but technically Darkseid predates Thanos by 2 or 3 years, so Thanos is Marvel's equivalent to DC's Darkseid.

Mostly, on my phone.

Darkseid is not broken, just terrifying I think he's spot on and sets a cap (mostly) on the game. In a broader sense I think he shifts the focus of the game back Up to the Supers and away from BMG characters/power levels (parademons notwithstanding). I think what's interesting is how you really have to have a BIG, non-BMG hitter in a hero team - or two.

In the old JL cartoon Darkseid comments that Batman was the only person at the time to survive/avoid his Omega Beams. I absolutely love that they have a rule where you have to Keep dodging them.

Oh, and any chance of someone posting those Parademon cards from something other than Photobucket? Can't read them at all from my phone.

Yeah, the Parademon card for the Batman Minis Game is so you can field on as part of the Secret Six team in the Flarrow book. - He's not available for any other team (Affiliation: None, as opposed to Affiliation: Unknown).

Although, it's tempting to set up a custom scenario where you perhaps have a horde of Parademons invading Gotham as part of Darkseid's invasion...

At 70pts each it'd take some messing with them to get a decent horde feel out of it.

I kinda want to start a falcone gang in this game because with the newer stuff coming out they just feel haliouresly normal. Lol They have never talking about doing the Ventriloquist yet right?

Well, the idea I had, maybe have 2 sets, if your buddy has them too and see how many your 350 point gang could take down before they're wiped out. Or how many points are left at the end of 6 rounds.

I don't see why you couldn't just transfer over the Brutal and Cruel rules to their equivalents BMG-wise.
Dead parademons come on from the board edge at the start of the next round.
Maybe allow KO parademons to 'self destruct' as an activation, allowing them to come in next round.
If you only have access to a single set, maybe have a smaller play area (30" by 30") and, say, a 275 to 300 point gang?

It'd have to be a situation where after you play, you swap sides and your opponent maybe brings out his own gang to try to top your score total.

There's lots of fun you could have with the concept.

And still quite a decent gang.

Bodyguard on ALL the henchmen is insane, and awesome. They look like the band will be pretty slow, though, so keep that in mind.

That Parademon for BMG is pretty good. Definitely helps Secret Six become more interesting. They're still pretty far behind the power curve though, I think.

They do seem slow but with the new utility vehicles in the AK Book I feel that could give them the speed they want

Apparently so.. Box sets will be around £32 now.

In fairness though KM don't usually do annual price increases so this must be a reaction to the Economy or the License or something along those lines..

@$50 USD for a pack of 4 is getting pretty costly hopefully the single blisters don't go up too. $20 for a single model is a bit high already.

A gang of powered suits seems a bit much for the Batman game. A bunch of guys in suits made for fighting kryptonions fighting street gangs and the mob?

Yeah, I won't say they have jumped the shark yet, but it feels like it's getting close. And then there would be no real need for the D.C. Supers game. But, what do I know.

So these models don't have rules for the superhero game. Just for the Batman game? That seems like a massive wasted opportunity.

They haven't revealed the stat cards yet. I wouldn't be surprised if they are multiverse and come with cards for both Batman and DC. We have already seen minions added to the DC game with the Parademons so them also having rules for the power suited Lexcorp troops makes sense.

Are they guys in suits? I figured they were probably robots, those tend to be more Lex's thing and he keeps the various suits to himself. Robots would also help with the power level perhaps, as they'd perhaps be a bit flimsier or have a few built-in drawbacks like the Riddler bots.

I'd guess DCU rules for the suited minions, but not that version of Lex. He doesn't look strong enough to contend in DCU here, I imagine that'll get let to his mini with the power suit.

The new prices are gonna kill this. It was hard getting folk into the game with previous prices but these new prices are laughable £17 a single figure and between £32 - £45 for a basic crew. A lot of people are selling there stuff off. Knight just keep pushing folks away with the stupidity they show. It's like they want to be the gw of old it's just gw could get away with it. Knight are a tiny company that needs customers. The marvel fiasco, crap customer service and this ridiculous price rise is gonna hit them hard

Bloody hell, I didn't realise the prices had gone up that significantly! At this point, I very much doubt I'll be buying much more KM stuff at all, unless the Potter stuff is more reasonably priced when that's released.

I was on the edge of deciding to keep the funds I had for the DCU game and spend big when Fallout launches instead, now that's pretty much certain.

I'm actually pretty happy with their customer service. I ordered the Suicide Squad boxed game from an online vendor and right after I got it KM re-released the version with Harley On Bomb. After a couple emails back and forth with one of the guys at KM, I was able to purchase a Harley On Bomb figure from them without having to get a whole new boxed set. In that order I also ordered a couple packs of dice. They sent one wrong pack, and as soon as I let them know they sent the correct pack out while allowing me to keep the wrong ones. All emails were friendly and they seemed happy to help me out.
