Why is that resin kit so pricey?

It's a massive dragon, a foot high all hunched over. Also the resin version is probably the "Special" edition and only being done in small numbers. It's kind of like buying a warhound or reaver from FW.

Gotcha. Just seemed like an oddly high number for a Reaper product.

I think that same dragon is part of Reaper's current Bones 3 Kickstarter. Once that's released it should be available much cheaper.

Yeah that was $60 on the Bones 3 KS.

Does anyone know what's going on with the retail release of KS 2? I've been waiting for certain releases to drop, like the paladin on horse, and it still hasn't hit retail. Did they can some of their minis before release?

They put out the update a day early, but it's got nothing of note or anything like that.

Yeah, they mentioned in today's update that there has been no status change since last update.

Place a $40 order and get that day's Xmas miniature. Website is all MSRP, though.

$39.99 LTPK 2 kits available for new painters. : https://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/%20learn%20to%20paint

If you have any Bones mini's, might as well pick up some Brown Liner. Use it as an undercoat, but it somewhat settles into the recesses like a wash would on a primed miniature.

Goblin Carolers. Not quite as amusing to see as the Gremlin carolers from that movie, but nice. Too hard to see the detail of the Julie Guthrie Wrapping Dragon.

Anyone know how useful that paint case is, the actual case, not the contents?

I'd like better pictures and information on all of that.

I agree with KK that the fairy is the winner of the bunch so far.

It's likely the same as the paint case they sell. There are a few reviews floating around. If I remember correctly, the consensus is that they're okay but don't plan on stuffing a lot of other paints in too... but... double check that, it's been a while since I looked into them.

So this may be the last Reaper update for 2016, let's make a good one!

http://www.reapermini.com/

First off we've got the limited edition Christmas figures, so get 'em while they're hot!
Or cold.
Or whatever.
While you can OK?

Christmas Knight and Christmas Eve (puns I can't believe no one has used before), Santas, and other random bits.

And in the metal range...

The Spirit of Winter, a decent sorceress for all sorts of roles.

And the Spirit of Spring, not quite as useful, but certainly nice.

An elven gardener with her +2 trowel of digging.

Another great model that really tells a story. Steve was out shopping for a new sword when he saw his buddy Frank and Frank had a whole wagon full of severed heads and since they were old buddies Frank gave him a great deal and that way Steve had a nice severed head to bring home to his kids for Severed Head Day.

A powerful Cattlemancer with her Staff of Undead Cow Summoning.

"Don't turn into a giant snake, it never helps"-Evil Overlord Handbook

Come on, all together now... "Aw cute!"

An elf! Who's a ranger! And has both a sword and a bow! Where do they get their ideas!

Merrowyn Lightstar, Female Elf Paladin, now I'm not racist but back in my day Paladins were human, round ears, 5'-6' tall, no infravision. Now I ain't got no problem with elfs, but I don't see why they need to be be taking jobs from good, hard-working humans. Cultural appropriation is what it is.

Highlander Heroine, forced to leave her peaceful semi-Scottish village and take up arms due to elfs taking all the jobs once held by humans.

Six-armed half snake woman! Where do they get their ideas?

The Red Raven, an assassin so skilled he dresses in bright crimson just to give his victims a slight chance to spot him in time.

Did you ever just want to smack a 28mm model in the face? I mean I just want to pop him one in the nose. Kudos to Bobby Jackson for that face.

And then some GIs. Because why not?

It's something I certainly love about Reaper, the diversity and the randomness, you never know what you'll get week to week or year to year.

Here's looking forward to a great 2017!

You think that's bad? I've got a Half-Orc Paladin sitting on my hobby table demanding to be painted! The nerve of him!

Actually KidKyoto if you look carefully its one of the most fearsome digging elements/weapons ever created the Spade of Spaying.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Um maybe? Did that game ever come out?

Seems they started a line ages ago, never went anywhere with it, so this might just be an exercise in inventory cleaning. We'll see if we get more Nazi Zombies next week.

I always thought the only thing more fun than fighting Nazis would be Nazi Zombies.

Their Christmas lights keep shorting out and the candle's won't light, but they can't kelp themselves.

Because it's underwater. And they're fish people.
