Hey all of us have to work a bit, (Maybe remember camera at stages) so we get to the points we want.

Loving this stuff! Vehicles look great and the red colour scheme is sweet. Reminds me of chaos orcs from Warcraft 3 - always loved the contrast.

Can't wait to see the APC painted up!

Took some better shots of the boyz, really pleased with how my skin tones are coming along (watched a tutorial) could possibly do with another layer of bright red now i look in the light. The light brown i bought the other day turned out almost orange against the brown so i have got some more mute brown today and will redo those bits.grey turning out well enough.

Re-worked some parts of the original trukk to give it a bit more 3d feel. Added some more struts on the underneath to stop the flat bottom, redid the 'armoured wheel' and i also re-did the front as that intake looked shoddy.

Cheers all! Thanks for the enthusiasm & complements.

Glad the spikes look good, wasn't so sure on the front myself. The truck was really just a prototype to learn a few things and it did that well, but no need to mothball instead of just making a few changes.

May still do some more to it, or might just build another one. However there are much more pressing projects to get along with 1st.

Massive supply drop/start on artillery

Raided ebay and got 30 odd boys and nobs with some surprise burna & rocket-tears included, made a start on some of them.

Also got some bikes and trikes to make a squad with from ramchakle games as they do 5 bikes for the same price a the 3 in the gw kit. Allthough i do really like the new gw bikes and the kit comes with lots of options, i wanted a 5 man squad and the those trikes were just to cool. I toyed with the idea off getting a full 5 man squad just of trikes but went against it in the end as i feared it would look to uniform. However i didn't realize how big they are! Wish i did get 5 i could use them as buggies

Also they gave me a free bike! Ramshakle are the best, not sure what i'm going to do with it as its a bit small so might use it as a grot bike or a guard out-runner.

Think some of them are black reach like the nobs and some boys, totally didnt realize i was getting anything other than boys though. Some sloppy modelling especially with the arms but nothing i cant fix or hide Found a few bit worthy of note like this chimney burna & custom glyf. I ran with the chimney burna & started modding some off the others aswell as builing a nob with pk for my second squad and messing around with some shootas.

The last guy with the grenade luncher is an attempt at doing something different with tank busta's, I like it but i'm not sure if it work, might have to go bigger and better with bigger under-slung one.

Lastly I finally made a start on my lobbas' using those bottle tops i started collecting after reading Cleatus's blog, going for a more artillery style gun than the one in the kit. Got a bit court up in doing it accurately so it can be toed, but its only my 1st and being orks my designs will probably change as the squad progresses. Also might need smaller wheels or a bigger gun.

Tried taking a few more wip shots as i went but do forget.

Great start on the arty, looking very promising. They are orks so no uniformity should be applied. (bugs me about current trukks etc.) Boys looking great, nice haul, always loved the bits bags and odd bags of boys myself, must have close to a hundred boys in a box awaiting some proper attention. Your work is making me itch....

Thanks, Its a bit of a pity about my old school orks but they were cheep, and its always nice using old models instead of letting them rot. Yeah not bought one of the kits but looks like it could have many, many looks with a bit of plasticard, but people tent to build them the same every time. Except you of course cam Think next upfor trucks i want to try a bus like puppets war, & maybe a hemtt truck. Along with a LVT.

Been doing a bit of highlighting, stupidly i started with the boss. The lines are to thik and to pronounced, after this i thinned the paint down.

Did the next layer of highlights and redid the 1st, close to finishing him and the 1st squad of boys now. Just a matter of finding the bits ive missed which al seem to be highlights or weathering.

Also basing is in effect!

Looking good SA. Man, those really pop!

Have you considered putting some greenery on the bases? Green and red really show well together.

I agree with Gitspitta, maybe some greenery would help. Personally I find the bases a bit too red.

But red Orks.... Stroke of Genius, loving them! (and that APC rocks too!)

some green grass added to the bases could help, or lichen bits

Looking good! some nice contrast as the skin of the orks is good for blending in with the sand.

Yeah cheers for advice guys. Thinking of adding some ork glyphs to the larger armour bits to break it up a bit.

That helps. Looking good s_a. I think some glyphs, etc would be a great addition.
