Pretty awesome then, hopefully they do elven union/pro elves in plastic next. Gotta have at least one elf team in plastic, plus the cyber harlequin elf style is cool.

Oh, they're also doing a second round of made to order blood bowl models from ages past. They showed an undead team but didn't list anything else yet.

Excellent figures once again.. will need two boxes for sure, one for the Lowdown Ratz, one to grab some from to mix in with Skaven to make the Underworld Creepers.. will probably have a few left over to add to Orc teams as well.

Sounds like it. 2 frames of 6 bodies each. Probably at least 8 heads per frame.

Not a huge fan of the positionals but I love the plastic goblins.

The fact that the required second box of Skaven has the perfect amount of leftovers to make an Underworld team with a box of goblins and troll is perfect, too!

What required second box of Skaven? Seeing the booster pack, the least required box of anything would be a 2nd Skaven.

Well, I picked up the second box to finish my team prior to the booster packs being announced, so I guess it was just required for me :p.

I feel like you'd still need a second box if you wanted to fill out your roster with backup Linerats anyway. The fact that the duplicates don't get wasted if you're building an Underworld team as well is a nice perk.

Yeah it took me a bit to make out as well. I think it's wearing a hockey mask and sort of looking up, so that protrusion is it's nose. Just an odd photo angle. They definitely could have cleaned the flash up a bit prior to the photo.

Heh! I get that reference.

I don't dislike the goblins but is it me or have all the Forge World resins been a bit on the "meh" side? There was a time when their single character models were all sorts of awesome sauce. Lately, not so much.

Man those new resin goblins make me cringe. The smoke coming out of the ball and the chain on the other one are going to break off so easy. It's not that they look bad, they look fine. But where is the pogo stick one?

They have forgot how to do anything more than Space Marines

Those special characters are very underwhelming being honest..fairly disappointed I haven't a clue what's going on with the chainsaw guy's head but maybe the paint jobs will do them more justice. The Ball and Chain model is quite nice but hard to see it not breaking like the Bomb model. Just glad I have the old metal team with all the special characters so a saved expense which will go to getting a hold of that White Dwarf model that was shown earlier in the thread and the Deathroller!

On a side note anybody else think the new design approach to Goblins is basically just large Ogre Kingdoms Gnoblars?? (Huge noses sticking out with the rest of the features being tiny!)
My favourite GW goblins still has to go to the mid 1990s GW design (especially those metal Night Goblin guys) followed closely by the mid noughties ones (thinking of the wonderful Skarsnik and Gobbla model)

You are right in the nose bit. That size of nose is more of Gnoblars than goblins. But they are much more "proportionate". Gnoblas have much tinnier bodys, with a giant head and a even bigger nose.

I said something similar over on Twitter, they look like a cross between Goblins and Gnoblars.

The Goblin Booster Pack is just 4 of the same from the boxed set, based on the photos I have seen.

Also, the pogoer will be in a separate pack with 2 apparently new secret weapons....

That's probably why I'm not really liking them. As a long time fan of Goblins these models just aren't working for me and I think it's a mix of the moon hats and the big noses. Never was a fan of Gnoblars.

The 4 red painted Goblins look the same as the ones in the team, though it makes me wonder how the sprues are arranged because there's more than 4 distinct poses in the group of 12 (the one in the middle at the back is running with his right foot forward, which is not a pose that seems to exist in the image of 4 red painted goblins).

I was expecting them to be arranged in 2 identical sprues of 6 each.

There seem to be 6 body poses, which makes me wonder how the 4 Goblin pack is created (especially when it's half the price of 12 goblins).

Still miffed that we get plastic goblins before any plastic elves at all.

Me too. If they really have done one sprue of 4 in triplicate then that's kinda pathetic. The box should'a come with a Troll.

There's clearly 2 of each pose. So if it's three sprues it's even weirder.

I just wish every team was 2 sprues: 6 Linemen, 6 Positionals, all different poses. For somethig like Gobbos you could put 6 Gobbos, 4 Special Weapons, and a Troll.

Well the painter gave their noses a darker color, which is a big contrast to the older less exaggerated night goblins. It's a definite change in style, but I honestly like these models..even the forgeworld ones despite looking fragile. They shaded the noses weird though....and it just draws attention to it.

But really there hasn't been a plastic goblin kit like this in a long arse time, so changes in style and look are not too surprising. The great thing is this release has me excited about BB again, which is pretty crazy considering the amazing releases the past month for AoS and the upcoming 40k. Now more than ever I have to think extremely hard about what i'm spending my money on.

Those four red ones are either concept artwork or put thru some kind of fancy photo filter.
