Hey does anyone own this guy? How does that ball not snap the chain more or less instantly?

I've got him. Although I've not had the chance to use him yet (it's been an extremely busy year) it is quite a fragile part and moves a bit intimidatingly when he is moved around or picked up.

Despite that fear though, it hasn't broken so far. Might be because that pliability gives it a degree of 'free play' for want of a better term, which allows it to take some impact (such as me clumsily dropping him) without the force being applied to a rigid area that would buckle under the strain.

I think a bit of heat treatment and bend the ball so that you can pin it to the rest of the model is in order with that fella

Lovely big bug lad, happily massive Maybe prefer without the spear, tho it does lend him an extra dash of anthropomorphism.

He's even bigger than I thought he'd be too.

And yeah, it is a bit odd that the claws are holding a spear, but still, one must definitely suspend disbelief when entering The Darklands!

Didn't realize they were that big either...

[Suspicously eyes how much remaining credit is left on Mierce's site...]

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Mierceday!

GRAESACH'S BROOD, COCNEIDR UNIT

Spoiler:
Here's Graesach's Brood, a Cocneidr unit from the Powys realm. Watch out for these guys on the battlefield - they can, quite literally, turn you to stone with their breath. Nasty.

Graesach, Pencocneidr of Cwm Du
The leader of the unit is Graesach, prounounced "GRY[as in eye]-sakh".

His breath is fowl. Haha ha ha ha ha! Geddit? Geddit? Sigh... I should be on telly...

Hawas, Cocneidr of Cwm Du
The second Cocneidr is called Hawas.

We have often wondered why he crosses the road, but then we realised it's so he could get to the other side.

Gongoc, Cocnedir of Cwm Du
The last member of the unit is called Gongoc, and don't worry - we've run out of chicken jokes!

Bob has also made sure the heads look rather different to each other...

These guys, we are hoping, will be a Wave 23 shipment. Watch out for their cousins the Dyneidr and the Afanc in the future...! Squawk!

OGHU WATCHERS, SHIELDWALL OGHURITHNE UNIT
The Oghu Keepers, originally sculpted by Yannick Fusier, have had a nice little makeover into a Shieldwall unit - thanks to Tim Prow's ministrations. These guys will make excellent anvils in your Albainn host!

Hi everyone. This Danny Cruz, I've done a lot of the artwork/designs for Mierce and wanted to let everyone know that I will be at Origins this weekend at booth #1060 (D-Verse Publishing). I'll be selling my sketchbook and doing sketch commissions as well so, if you're at Origins, feel free to stop by and say hi.

Agreed, that's one of the awesome things about Mierce - you get this convergence of amazing artists (even if it's all commission based except for Bob).

Wish I was at Origins, and we need a thread a new thread on D-Verse stuff!

This may well be the last time we do this as we are bringing metal casting in house very soon - so grab these guys while they're here!

Our surplus half price metal miniatures will be removed from the webstore on Monday, 18th of June 2018 at midnight (GMT) - just a few days away! - and they're only available while stocks last, so be quick to grab them before they're all gone! There's a few more surplus metals than last time too, including some units, so it's worth a look even if you've taken advantage before!

Get yourself a fantastic unit of Oghurithne Hunters or a unit of Elbharu (shown below) for the Albainn, a fantastic Byzantii Demidecanus, Judas; a haughty Fomoraic Warchief, Daarkan; a simply gorgeous Jute noble, Archer Mildryth; or a terrifying Jute wraith, Mordwæl. There's many more - and all of them are half price!

A few things I wanted, Mierce humans fit in so well aesthetically with the Conan RPG game I run that it's hard to pass up on things like this -- especially when you need like 30-40 enemies per enounter. Wish there were more spear Albanian grunts as mine are in resin, from before metal was a thing, and I just haven't trusted they wouldn't break.

From what I've gathered from the currently active KSer thread yes. Just general Darklands merch. I know kindred colored dice with dicebags have been mentioned on top of the generic print to order stuff.

Don't know how popular it will be but the regulars really want some and I doubt it will need a high funding goal.

Rob, so far, has resisted calls for more minis as he wants to catch up on production now that he's got a printer in house and getting set up for internal metals.

Bringing metal casting in house is news to me - this is good news, I think!

And Rob NOT doing another miniature based Kickstarter before he catches up on the substantial backlog that is out there is definitely good news!

I definitely don't *need* more dice, but I suppose I could be tempted by some nice looking d10's.

Curious to see what else will on offer though.

ya, it's why all the metal releases have been delayed and he's doing a clearance on some overstock.

I hope they get production going this month as I have lots of stuff waiting on metal figures.

Same here.

And I'm convinced that's what's holding up all the resin stuff I have on order, that is available for general release, and hasn't shipped and isn't even in 'packing' for me!!!

IIRC, there was stuff like Mugs, t-shirts, and that sort of thing. But there was also talk of kindred specific dice (different in both symbols on the dice and color of the dice), possibly dicebags, and some sort of holder for all the order tokens. I even recall some mention of a game mat (Formoraic themed IIRC, so a big ice sheet?). In any case, should be a bunch of different stuff. I hope they set the fund pretty low, as not everyone is going to go all in on this sort of thing.

Getting the metals in house is HUGE! As some have pointed out, I think the out of house metals slows a lot of things down, not that the company making them is slow, but I think Mierce waits to place a BIG order to maximize cost, and they have to build up to that. Now they can spin up whatever they need, when they need it. And any excess stuff, or miscasts can just be melted down again and reused.

So, back to the serious business of, you know, actual miniature production...what is the ETA for Encrusted Thuulac now?
Also, when are we even going to see the sculpts for:
Schyros
Scethan
Selkilias
Uuroch
These are all minis from a LOOOOONG time ago, over TWO YEARS AGO!, that have not even been sculpted, let alone printed or molded...!

Just pm me here.

OK, I had few bites, but nothing panned out...

So to sweeten the deal...a new offer.

I am in Australia, so the biggest drawback is the shipping cost....

To get the three Nancrunca would cost me £75 + £10 shipping.

They each cost £25, that's say: $34 USD,
Plus shipping to the states would cost around $12 USD (For one or two)

To buy three yourself from Mierce would cost you $115 - $120 USD

If you go in for this deal with me:
One would cost you $46 USD
Two would cost $80 USD

I could do two at a discount of just $65 USD
OMG BARGAIN!

So I buy 3, once delivered I ship to you two of the three for $65 USD (Just to be clear)

Adding more work to these same people in and of itself won't change anything
They still only have the same number of staff, so hopefully these savings can get another person to assist, otherwise we have the same exact bottleneck, not enough people to get minis out the door...
