Agreed - it's just all of us Up Front Paying Kickstarter Customers who are left holding the bag...

I noticed my 50% sale stuff switched over to packing from processing today, so that's a good sign things are chugging along.

I imagine they had a large volume of orders during that past sale.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

My order from that sale just arrived so they're chugging along getting the retail stuff out, and that means the KS stuff will follow along

(I hope the in house metal casting isn't too messed up by corona virus, but since they were going to get a caster to come in and run their machines I fear it might slow things down some more)

Hard to believe things could get much slower then they already are, Kickstarter-wise...

Still, I guess it is good to see that people that place orders now are getting items shipped to them.

Checked and my order also is in packaging after about a month. Had actually forgotten about it.

I just checked - nothing in 'packaging', sadly...all in processing.

Looks like they have some new Byzantii hyena beasts on their site.

Looks like they’re teasing concept art too.

If you're due the giant scorpion from KS you can also pay the difference between that lower price and what it is now to get the hyenas & handlers free (which saves you money if you do want both)

Got to say, a Hyena unit for 40 quid is pretty tempting (the upgrade cost from already having a Skorpion coming...)

Got to see what my finances look like on Friday.

You guys are killing me here, I narrowly avoided picking up the mega scorpion during the half off sale and now have serious regrets

I mean, my main argument was that it was simply too big - who says that??

I bit. I've been wanting the giant scorpion and getting some free dire hynena's pushed me over the edge (more so then 50% off).

The email for this stated they're looking to do more deals like this with other giant monsters from the KSers. If this one has a turn around of about a month for me I'll be interested to see what the other deals are.

Me too. I’m guessing, since they’ve teased some new jute concept art, they might do Scethaen, the Jute mega beetle next. Though they have finished sculpts for the mega turtle, mega boar, and a bunch of atlantean colossus too. This works well in making a good deal for folks who backed the ks, and new customers.

Got my shipping for the 50% off sale a month ago.

Just got my second giant crab + Gahwn, that lovable doofus with his bonking rock, in the mail. Though weirdly most exciting is the arrival of my own Mierce beanie! Partially because it's still damn cold here in Upstate NY, but frankly because fan bois gotta swag.

I have been thinking about getting the concept art book. Anyone have thoughts on whether it is worth 30 pounds? How long is it?

It's quite short about 50 pages, soft bound and landscape A4 in size,

the contents are really good, well printed, lots of art, lots of text talking about the art and design process and a wide spread of their concept artists

I'm a fan so i'd probably pay that much for it (and will if they release another volume) and if your in the habit of buying art books you know how expensive they can be

if your only casually interested it may end up feeling a bit expensive

I have it and pretty much agree 100% with Orlando. I'd also say the amount of information on the design process is way more then most of the art books I've bought for other mediums. Was really happy with it but you have to like that kind of stuff for the price to be worth it.

Is the scale of the undead off? I hope not as I just branched out from by Byzantii to Jutes and got a bunch of them.

No. The scale is fine. My complaint there is the metal versions just don't assemble well. Since Mierce does all their minis for resin first the metals sometimes suffer. These are a prime example as the connection points are just too small for some of the skeleton minis and things just weren't sticking together very well.

This. Or having to glue horns on the gabrax or drunes, when they have no peg/hole setup so its just sticking two flat metal surfaces together and hoping for the best, because they're too small to pin.

I have about 20 outstanding 10 man units waiting for their metals to be set up and am really hoping they cut later molds differently, as I cant deal with the metals as is, but cant afford to upgrade em all to resin.

I could pay for the resin upgrade I just don't have good luck with the resin durability in general (not just from Mierce but other lines too). So far all the other human sized I've gotten have been fine (don't have gabrax or drunes) but the skeletons were a pain and I never did get them assembled.

Though their resins aren't any better sometimes. I have the Erin bog trees and those were took hours to assemble as nothing fit where it was supposed to as the models weren't cut very well in my opinion for casting. I haven't gotten anything that was 3d sculpted yet from Mierce so I'm hoping that being able to cut pegs and such before printing will mean most of my issues with the line goes away.

Just about every 3D sculpted model I've gotten has been smooth and easy to put together, with the exception of a couple lizard parts having the slot get excess resin needing to be cleared out.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I thought the Wihts were all 3D sculpted.

The Byzantii and Fomoraic resin was quite easy to assemble. Significantly better quality than what I usually get from Forgeworld for instance.

You are correct. I think they were some of the first. I actually do own some but haven't assembled them yet.
