Found this at the dollar store here for 2,50$! This one was sold in a fishnet bag, but there was some other kit in a box with more accessory.

After about an hour and a half of painting, I think look pretty good! They are ment to be taken apart with the big screw you see around, so doubly easy to paint tbe parts!

I will definitely go pick the rest of the line I saw there!

I've actually picked up a few of these to use with my Marauders in Firefight. Different attachments on the backs of the truck.

That's a good deal for the falcon.
I feel the same on all counts. In many cases this smaller scale is better for tabletop use as it's compressed to a reasonable size. However, likewise I won't be picking it up as there are plenty of less iconic spacecraft in my queue.

I went back to the dollar store, but sadly I could not find the boxed set I posted above with vehicle and crane and stuff. Oddly, it was gone from the shelf entirely. There was still stand-alone truck though so I picked up the two other variant that I saw.

Gonna have to go around and see if I can get those box set!

The local Walmart was clearancing the small avatar vehicles.

So if anyone wants crabs or amp suits for conversion projects, now is the time.

A while back I noted that the die cast Light-year vehicles were at Dollar tree. While the rest are ships in much smaller scales, the truck might be big enough to work in 28mm wargaming.

Clearly on the small side but I think it's fine as a bit of scenery in a skirmish games. Sort of a space Kei Truck. Not bad for a buck!

It's a nice thought, but seeing these at the Dollar Tree and Lightyear stuff on deep discount elsewhere is a pretty strong indicator the market isn't there.

At least we've got Avatar toys from the current film and who knows what we might get from the next films projected for 2024, '26 and '28.

Oh I know, but I imagine the chaos it would cause in Disney's planning offices to start getting letters from Timmy, age 46, that he needs more Lightyear toys NOW!

I picked up an Avatar RDA Sea-wasp today. It's a nice size for 28mm. It's going on one of my infinity tables. The pilot inside is a little small, but paint the canopy and it's close enough to work for a 28mm aircraft.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Is the pilot inside removable? I'd love to see a scale pic next to an Infinity miniature.

The canopy doesn't open (compared to the Lightyear hyperspeed stuff) and from what I can tell, the pilot is also not removable. With some careful fret saw work, you might be able to remove the canopy (Or you could just take all the screws out, I guess).

A shot of a spare Infinity pilot figure next to the fore end of the aircraft.

And from above, showing the length of the cockpit. It's a tight fit, but you *could* fit a human in a flight suit into it. Not that fightercraft are known for being especially roomy - I think only an F1 car is less roomy (in that the steering wheel has to come off so that the driver can get into them). Pilot is resting on one of the forward canards.

Thanks for the pics. That looks pretty good to me. I've got no problem with aircraft and their pilots being a bit compressed in size. With toys like this, I routinely remove the screws for disassembly and easier painting. In this case it'd be nice to paint the pilot or replace it.

I just realized that neither gunship has a removable pilot like the Mecha do. That's disappointing.

I did remove a whole chunk of the weapons from it (it's not going up against tanks in infinity (so 16 hellfire missiles aren't a necessity). The 4 ffar pods and the chaingun in the nose should be sufficient.

I know we've mentioned the Galaxy Squadron line before but I don't think I've seen these specific ones.

https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Micro-Galaxy-Squadron/dp/B09PMW3W5R/ref=sr_1_1

5" snowspeeder for $17

https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Pack-Style-Black/dp/B09VLDVX9L/

Death Star trench battle for $47 (trench not included)

As with the Millennium Falcon these are all a bit too familiar to work for much other than Star Wars, but if that's your bag these are a good buy.

More here, along with the random stuff Amazon throws into searches these days.

Micro Galaxy is pretty cool, but it's pretty much all in the 15-20mm scale with figs that are around 20mm.

The good news is that 20mm (1/72) is a game-able scale. There's quite a bit of older micro machines figures and "Action Fleet" (like Galaxy Squadron but from the 90s) in that size and there are 3d printers that will make that size figures for you at a reasonable cost.

If someone really wants a 28mm 'ish snowspeeder, the Bandai 1/48 kit is out there. Supposed to be 30 bucks but prices are shooting up as it's OOP at the moment. Also, there's a cheaper, now OOP Revell 1/52 kit that you can usually find for around 25 bucks.

Jada has finally released the Die Cast Cobra HISS.It's the third (and probably the last) in a trio of advertised GIJOE vehicles that seem to have been released every 6 months or so starting a year or so ago. It was proceeded by the GIJOE VAMP and the COBRA Stinger.
Picked up 2 at Walmart for $10 each but they're on Amazon too for a bit more.
https://www.amazon.com/G-I-Joe-H-I-S-S-Die-Cast-Destro/dp/B0BNWB7M15/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1UYCGTUSY5ROS&keywords=cobra+hiss&qid=1677014558&sprefix=%2Caps%2C66&sr=8-8

Figures pictured are 28mm Stargrave and the included 38mm'ish(1/43) Destro who seems to be the same scale as an the other "Nano Metalfigs" lines. Tank comparison is a 1/56 Warlord Cromwell. Separate turret push fits in. Cockpit would be fine for a true scale 28mm pilot.

It's not a large vehicle by any means. Sort of a light tank with a single pilot cockpit. Compared to the original toy and art, it looks to be darn near true scale 28mm. Just to make things even more confusing, Jada calls the line 1:32 which is neither the case for the 1/43 figures that are included with the vehicles nor the vehicles themselves that range from approx 1/56'ish for the Hiss to possibly as large as 1/48 for the Stinger/VAMP. For 10 buck vehicles though as nice as these though, I'll forgive the mistake.

Makes me nostalgic for the gi joe movie. Could be cool as an ordinatus for AT if one were to paint over the windscreen.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

I'll second that.

The HISS looks pretty well perfect size. IIRC, it was a small tank to begin with.

Thanks for the tip on these, Eilif.

On the topic of the hiss, there's 2 other vehicles in that line so far, a cobra jeep with rockets, and a gi joe one with a gun.

Also if for some reason you were trying to do a whole cobra army, wargames Atlantic oorah make decent vipers.

Now that you mention it Stargrave troopers would also make some decent Joes and Cobra.
