I'm curious how long that will hold tension before the parts just grind each other smooth and the tower stops locking open.

Today’s Ross find… the crab suit sub from Avatar. It will be a salvage ship in my Starwars tpg game.

We can only hope that Avatar 3: This Avatar is on Fire will bring us similar toys for the discount aisle.

In addition to being great wargaming conversion fodder it'd be a fantastic addition to the collection of anyone who likes 3.75-4" (1/18) action figures, especially Mecha. It's the sort of action figure vehicle I wished for as a kid.

Yeah, its nice and large and looks very well suited. I may go by Ross again Friday to see if I can find another. I went looking for the AMP suits, but no joy.

They're bare bones but you could build them, spray paint them and have a village ready to go in a few hours. They're small, but buildings are always undersized for war games. I'm not sure what everyone's resale economy is like, but I'm seeing alot of porcelain christmas buildings at local resale shops, mostly for 3-10 bucks. I've got plenty so I'm only buying the occasional accessory (bridge, fences, etc) but they make great terrain intact with a bit of texture and paint...

I must admit, as much as I love Hoth stuff, being old and the proud possessor of the Kenner Star Wars Micro Hoth Ion Cannon sees me good at the 28mm scale.
