A new day, a new time zone.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the terminators.

That sergeant looks exactly like I picture a space marine. Giant freaking super human death machine stomping over to tear you apart with his giant power fist. Love it dude. The 30k bits (I see em in there) are ace too - the character upgrade power fist on the sergeant and the barrel mag heavy bolter are just sick!

Yeeeeaah!!! Cheers that's exactly what I was heading for.
Good to see it translates across.
I got one of my Terminators done, dissatisfied with how static the are so I'll be getting my next bathroom Forgeworld stock.

Your decal work is stunning. it adds so much to the your miniatures.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Cheers fella, I used to struggle like mad with them about a year ago.
Then someone introduced me to microset and microsol.
They basically melt your decal on so it looks painted.
Do it over a gloss coat and once dry you can scratch them up with a scalpel.
Seal I matt varnish and that's all I do.
Dead easy with those two solutions it changed how I work.

Cheers for the tips Indy!
What sort of matt varnish do you use & is it airbrushed, spray canned or brush on??

I always either brush on or use an airbrush varnish. Too many times I have seen my hard work destroyed by frosting matt varnish from spray cans.

Got the dreadnought finished. And things are starting to take shape.

Question is what to do next, I have a scout, terminator, Combat, and assault squad on the go.

I'm really inspired by your Death Spectres. Stunning work. Your attention to detail is superb.

I have a couple of questions:

Firstly, could you please talk me through how you paint and weather the black armour? Its something I have always struggled with, and you have really nailed it with your army.

Secondly, which transfer sheets have the white numbers and squad markings? They really add to the overall effect.

Hey no worries amd thank you for the feedback. The black is just a chaos black spray and edged with the fang and ulthuan grey. The Death Guard transfer sheet has loads of great markings.
I have used some of those on my Terminators which I jest finished.

I was doing some Death Guard and had transfers left over and they are to dissimilar to the Death Spectres icons.
So thought why not.

I rushed my assault squad into service for tonight.
I used a MkIV helm for the veteran sergeant looks great on the assault kit.
Hopefully they help bring honour to my army.
So far I have lost one game and achieved a tactical draw in my second despite heavy losses.
