I like how he incorporated the jump-pack exhaust as supports for the airborne figures. Beats going around on the end of a pole, IMO.

I'm considering that in the long term.

Initially though I'm primarily planning to use them as basing models for a Titanicus force. I'm thinking of having small mini-dioramas on the titan's bases of world eaters rampaging trough the city in support of the titans.

Now that you remind me, I should really make some updates to my dakka log on that army. I have quite a few new models done, but just forgot that thread.

I have made a blog over on B&S about my progress of creating an 8mm World Eater force (although am going for Great Crusade-era, rather than strictly Heresy-era).

I think 8mm is ideal for representing the Crusade and Heresy, and has gone full-circle from where it all began.

The Novan Elites ships which were being redone in resin have experienced a slight delay due to a printing mistake, more on that here.

Little update from Vanguard Miniatures:

Due to a backlog of orders building up I have chosen to disable ordering on the site again for a day or two. I do so loathe to do this but needs must, I will enable ordering again either tomorrow or Wednesday and I will have the new Novan Elites special weapons set available at that time.

PLASTIC BASES

Currently the stock of all three plastic bases we do are either extremely low in stock or sold out, re-stock orders of all three have been submitted and we should start seeing these arrive over the next 3 to 4 weeks or so.

Restocks have been a bit slow due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I hope they'll be restocked in the coming weeks (I can't say for sure, I'm just guessing here since I only do design work for Vanguard).

FYI.
Posted up this notification on my website Panthera product entry.
THIS WILL MOST LIKELY BE THE LAST BATCH OF METAL CAST PANTHERA BEFORE I MOVE OVER TO MOSTLY RESIN CAST SHIPS, SO PLEASE BE AWARE OF THAT. THE MOULD FOR THIS MODEL IS SHOWING SIGNS OF WEARING OUT SO THESE ARE NOT OF THE SAME QUALITY AS USUAL BUT STILL OF VIABLE USE, FORTUNATELY MOST OF THE WEAR IS IN AREAS THAT WILL BE COVERED BY THE "WINGS" OR WEAPON BROADSIDES.
So this latest batch will most likely be the last metal Panthera available, if any of you guys/gals still want metal versions then you will have to snap them up once ordering has been enabled again either tomorrow or Thursday.

Ok time for some good news.
The first of the Zeus class vessels has entered production, the little Destroyer squadron will be the first release of this ship class, the frigate and cruiser to follow at a later date as circumstances allow.
These are actual production casts samples sent to me yesterday.

There is a stock update this month I believe.
I know bases are due in along with a few other bits.

If you drop them a message on Facebook messenger asking about stock of a specific product they are generally extremely fast on getting back to you and letting you know.

For me, their models are solid and just getting even better but their communication is top notch.
Really can’t recommend them enough.
